KINGDOM HEARTS

So did Tetsuya Nomura plan this from the beginning or was it just a convenient ass pull? Because I admit, I love this plot twist. It got me interested in the future of the series. Nomura clearly makes this shit up as he goes obviously but for some reason, this one feels like he planned it since KH 2. What do you guys think?

i think the story is a mess and has been since kh2

Not planned at all, super garbage mess that is pulled out of his ass for an unfinished story.

Obviously a convenient asspull. If you don't realize Nomura makes this shit up as he goes along from how he's treated Ansem SoD and Xemnas you may be retarded.

Xigbar made absolutely NO hints about his past until KH3. Not even subtle after-the-fact hints

That's the beauty of KH. The story is a beautiful goddamn mess of bullshit

At least before 3 it was easily salvageable into a coherent piece of art, but 3 proved just how little Nomura cares about the series as a whole.

I want a persona game done in this engine

Ass pull but he'll say he planned it to seem like master keikaku planner. Same with Hussie and Homestuck.

To be fair to Hussie up until act 5 he at least obviously went back and double checked what plot threads were left open that he could loop into the story. Nomura just shits on a plate and doesn't care what he retcons.

The story of Kingdom Hearts is a fucking assbackwards trashfire that makes no goddamn sense whatsoever and should've stayed as relatively simple as KH1's plot did

Convince me otherwise

Recoded's secret ending had a hint

I'd imagine he had it planned (or at least the idea that he would be super important) since BBS since he was inexplicably important in it

It was obvious that Xigbar knew more than he let on. Plus he was getting more and more screen time. You had to be retarded to not realize he had something up his sleeve. This was the first hint way back in 2FM

>but 3 proved just how little Nomura cares about the series as a whole.
I think he cares about Kingdom Hearts, but he's really fucking bad at big picture. He'll come up with something he thinks is cool, but doesn't really stop to think about the ripple effect it'll have. He did this shit with FF7 too. By his own admission he retconned Cloud to be the mopey motherfucker he was in Advent Children because he saw that fanfiction writers kept writing him as unable to get over Aerith's death (seriously).

i do agree with you on zigbar but most of the other stuff is an absolute asspull

Yeah, as shown in BBS he was just a douche that wanted a Keyblade because he saw how powerful Xehanort was with it. That was the whole extent of his importance, all this crap with the mobile game is just garbage.

I don't know if Xigbar's EXACT role was planned from the beginning, but it was pretty obvious he was important the whole time

>Best Orgy member will be important and get more screen time
WHERE MY CARD BROS AT?

Attached: LUXORD.png (1280x720, 601K)

god i hope he has a important role in the next one most interesting org member

Gonna be honest, I always thought he was Ansem's kid. In hindsight, not sure why I did, but there you go.

Wait is Sora in The World Ends With You? I'm currently playing KH3 at the moment. I'm in the Keyblade Graveyard. I literally just beat TWEWY on the Switch last week.

I think he planned something like this since BBS. He's basically the Ocelot of the series.

It had the opposite effect on me. I wanted answers, and resolutions. Instead I got asspulls, and more questions. Nothing about 3 felt particularly good or satisfying. Just more bullshit. It's also shittily wrritten.

You thought this was for nothing?

I seem to recall he really liked how Xigbar's seiyu portrayed him and decided to make him way more important because of it. Same with Luxord apparently.

i got to say i had the same feeling when i finished it but i feel like my expectations were way too high

I don't, I expected an end to the dark seeker saga, and what I got was "lol the box that won't matter until 4, lol subject x that won't matter until 4, lol play the mobile game"

Asspull, Braig acted mysteriously andlike he knew things because Nomura did plan on him being a character back in BBS knowing the original trio andmaster Xehanort, but that's all, no way he planned on him beinh Luxu

He was just teasing BBS though
He did hint but for BBS only

You have no idea how glad I am that this will be followed up on. I need more Kingdom Mix TWEWY songs. youtube.com/watch?v=Pp0viroPHgk

Nomura doesn't care about Kingdom Hearts. He insists that Sora will always be the protagonist but he's easily the WORST character of the franchise. And Kingdom Hearts 3 is just a continuation of the character becoming more garbage like crying and whining about how weak he is on his own, ignoring how in previous games when he fought he alone he kept coming after villains anyway, or Sora out of nowhere just plain old wants to give up and drop dead letting the villains win via destroying him.

Fuck Nomura. I refuse to continue this series with a protagonist who is trash. Nomura can continue to make KH games but so long as he's in charge I know Sora is a shit character. As such fuck the series and KH3 is my final game which I'm glad I bought used.

I miss him

Kingdom Hearts should have ended with 2
>the last remnant of Ansem/Xehanort is destroyed
>Organization 13 is dead
>Sora, Riku, and Kairi are all alive and together on Destiny Islands
>Roxas and Namine have a bittersweet ending where they become whole
>tease more vague adventures to come with the message in the bottle at the end
There perfect ending everything after it is unnecessary

I didn't really have any expectations. The game was hyped up and it was supposed to be this grand finale but we just got that xehanort is really not that bad, and some other shits going on..It's weak. My favorite parts of the series tend to be when they slow down and focus on characters, and their interactions.

At least somewhat planned since 2010

Seeing a snow man hold up a Madara style attack while black rain and wolves fell from the sky was hilarious.

Nomura already confirmed that it is NOT the world ends with you. Its the next OC world

It's obviously Shibuya, idiot. It's the same way Cloud isn't actually Cloud.

I think the stuff in 2/BBS was self-contained. He's just a self-interested worm that knows more than he should. I guess sometime between BBS and the release of Back Cover it was set in stone. I can't recall any other big hints.

I don't care how stupid the plot was. KH3 gave us this.

It's another "World Line" of Shibuya

But the 104 building is from TWEWY

If you actually PLAYED THE GAMES you would know that the story is simple to follow. There’s nothing complicated about any part of the story unless you’re a brainlet who skips cutscenes and refuses to read. Retards only complain about it because they don’t realize the other games besides 1 and 2 aren’t side games and are actually important to the plot of the entire series.

The more interesting thought is if Nomura and friends planned the Dream, with a capital D, from the intro to the very first game.

KH is just a really long wrestling storyline. Xigbar revealing himself as Luxu was like when Vince McMahon unveiled himself as the man in charge of the ministry shouting "IT'S ME AUSTIN! iT WAS ME ALL ALONG"

He actually might be.

Since you know whats going on give us a rundown on Xigbar

>If you actually played the games that span across every console, for a decade, including a glorious nippon only BROWSER game you would understand the story is simple to follow

>I wanted answers
I really don't understand why anyone thought we were getting answers to anything in 3. When the creator of a series says it's only just now reaching the finale of the first of three parts. Act one in a story does not answer questions, it fully establishes the setting. Act two will start to answer questions and act three will be about discovering something that ends the plot.

See you all in 2035 for the actual ending to Kingdom Hearts.

>story was great in KH1
>all goes to shit from there

This is fact.

all you need is a ps4 these days. or youtube.

I am pretty bamboozled as to why KH1 and Re:CoM have such good cinematics. They're not even that great, they're just better. KH3's story-telling feels like a polished artifact of the PS2-era, when companies were still figuring out how to make "movie-games". The whole series has calcified and any progress they've made is arguably contained in a shitty mobile game.

Because they're supposed to be three separate sagas, not 3 acts to a single story. It's like the difference between the original 3 Star Wars movies and the prequel trilogy. Yes the prequels feature the characters and explain some things but the original trilogy wasn't made with them in mind.

Explain how Luxu became Brig who became Xigbar

I don't know why you would think that since the word nomura has used in japanese is hen, or arc like a story arc in a manga. It's a single continuous story, has been since the very first sequel, and will continue to be until KH9.

He used the body swapping spell Xehanort used against Terra at the end of BBS to pass his heart down through the ages until he landed in Braig, who then became a Nobody named Xigbar.

I LOVE HER

Uh, darkness, duh. KH1 establishes that one pretty clearly. Nobodies are keyblade magics. Everyone gets one of varying power levels.

I mean, I don't know what manga you've been reading, but the manga I read doesn't spend 90% of an arc setting up the next arc instead of actually focusing on the current arc at hand.
