kikiyama was contacted by playism and kadokawa to make an "official" sequel to yume nikki where they hired some throwaway no name studio who only ever did mobile gacha games before to make a very bad puzzle platformer. kikiyama had no involvement outside of giving them the greenlight to go ahead and make it
i dont think its quite as bad as what nicalis did to pixel but its still pretty shitty
if you decide to play it. i'd recommend taking off all equipment and only fighting bosses and no regular enemies. the game is way too easy otherwise

Sal is a shit tier character, if you like him re-evaluate yourself, nothing about him derives any kind of pleasure. If you like rape, Satanick and Idate are much better characters.

I've played this game on and off for a few months and I'm a bit after the part where they reveal the evil bunny sister princess. I think when I last played it was a flashback to when the shark guy was trying to tell Wadanohara that he loved her. I was always under the impression that this game was some dark bad end mind fuckery shit because it was always recommended alongside games like Ib and The Witch's House, but after playing it for as much as I did I thought it was just a coincidence. Until this thread I thought it was just actually just a fairly light hearted sort of game. Was I wrong?

it's lighthearted for half of the game with a few hints to darker stuff and then the game stops pretending and everything comes tumbling down.
