Ive been trying to figure out how to do mods in Skyrim since Oblivion came out, and after more than a decade of trying to figure this shit out, I can tell you with full confidence it was easier to learn how to make my own models in Blender.

How do you get the npc bodies to look like that? Is it a preset or do you have to make it yourself?

Bodyslide
You can use a preset as a base for what you want then tweak it until you're satisfied.
However it's influenced by NPCs weight stat, so you might have to manually change an NPCs weight if you want it to look the same for followers

SE has physics and some of the sexlab mods have been converted already. You probably won't get everything you want but there's still the base mod and defeat at least.

I only keep Skyrim installed around for degeneracy. Why should I take the time to switch?

I tried very, very hard to make it work, but it just doesn't. You're forced into speccing into Heavy Armor just to try and keep yourself alive, but even with trying to get into Enchanting stuff, it just isn't enough. It's also really unsatisfying. The game simply isn't designed for not using an actual weapon.

Yes, it's all but confirmed they are doing it on purpose, there is zero reason why they need to update the exe and shift memory offsets just to update their storefront, they are actively trying to demoralize and burnout the script extender team ahead of TES6 and Starfield so that user mods suffer and get hamstrung

What you do is load up a new game, go to racemenu presets in the in game RM menu, and select presets. Then select the Goblin Engineer one. NEXT, customize the SHIT out of it. Then save that custom body as a new preset.

That's how I got my shortstacks. I made a dorf paladin doing this

Make sure you get some good clothing because a lot of clothes clip with proportions this thicc. But not all of them. You'll be okay.

they update it like 3/4 times a year, but as long as you have an iq high enough to contemplate the idea of turning off updates or using a cracked exe there's no reason you have to update until all the mods you're using are updating and you have a reason to do so

You are a man of taste. You can make an Orc shortstack, mine are usually just green tinted nords for that 2H bonus. Luckily Racemenu is crazy powerful so you can make any race look like any race with enough autism and time.

am I the only fool who maxes out Smithing, uses heavily enchanted smithing accessories, and then uses a smithing potion, so I max out my gear? If you have Matching Set, you can hit the armor max in fucking Leather.

how do you level up those crafting skills? They're some of the slowest to increase in the vanilla game

All TES combat has always been just hitting shit until it dies anyways. There's no aiming your sword lunge(just kidding you can't even do that) for the enemies neck or area with less armor, grappling, parrying, etc.
