Not really. V had too much exposition. We saw every cutscene in trailers and we saw unironically hours of gameplay and even played a demo. Hes keeping tight lipped this time and thats ok.

Not really. MGS5 was very similar. It had ground zeroes but I mean, mgs4 was also similar, so was mgs3. A lot of teasers and vague gameplay bits and baubs, but nothing substantial.
If there's going to be anything more significant shown off, it'll be in october.

Not him, but I just refinished 4. That game sucks so much more than I remembered. Between it trying to be a TPS, the massive cutscenes and game interruption, and just the overall drop in quality of the characters and their stories, I wanted to turn it off not even halfway in. I honestly has forgotten how hard the game tries to usher you into playing it like a TPS with the forced run and gun segement in act 1, and on top of that the linearity of the levels is insanely noticeable, and this is all if the game even decides to let you play.
