Is it time for a new subseries?
the one where he jumps and also shoots
This is from the original to starforce
3 and 5. 5 had great music.
X1-X3 were solid, and Battle Network was a good trend. Heard Zero series was also pretty noteworthy too.
X7. Fuck all of you
Yes
Where should it take place?
Well you can just burn to the GROUND!
>My favorite MegaMan game? Zero 2, of course.
megaman x1 is the one i enjoyed the most at the time i played it
any zero game.
>someone who doesn’t shit on 5
My nigga
as far away from phones as possible
Legends by far
How about near a computer?
Zero 3, end thread, there is no contest.
Is this a joke?
It's the easiest of the original 6 by far. I haven't seen a Robot Master pattern worse than Stone Man. But other than that it was pretty comfy.
Medieval times. Mega Man is a golem created by science magic.
Thats.. actually not a bad idea, but fans would probably hate it.
just cold hard facts.
Ever since I saw the original Mirrors Edge I always felt there needed to be a Mega Man game that adopted its 3D control scheme. It worked out for Metroid Prime.
the only true iteration of megaman
See
The war in between X and Zero
That would actually be kino, or a little later during Renaissance times with clockwork automaton Robot Masters
>It worked out for Metroid Prime.
There almost was a Mega Man game like Prime done by the same devs. I wasn't a big fan of the art direction but it probably would've been neat.
I like Legends.
Zero 2 didn't have the chain rod though and that frog boss can go die in a hole, aside from that it's pretty great
I've read some great doujins about ZX.
Now that I think about, I want to trade the medieval setting for that so I can get some steam powered robots. And let's combine with for a Renaissance Mega Man FPS.
Post links
I always imagined some sort of weird hybrid game of the battle chip mechanics in MMBN crossed with the real-time strategy gameplay mechanics of Grandia.
It would be neither game series, but the story theme would be based in fantasy/medieval setting with technological advances for everyday needs and whatnot.
I don't think this would really be a good idea at this point unless they were pushing a totally different gamestyle. I don't need another Xlike Mega Man that just says it's a century later.
>beat Z2
>youtube.com
probably X or X4
I'd be down for a period game like this, or something that has a mecha aspect to it.
>X4
NO AHA HA HA AHA NO NO NO
They're all great. X and ZX have the worst entries though, and LEGENDS 3 NEVER
>something that has a mecha aspect to it
I'm kinda sad there hasn't been ride armor customization in any of the X games.
fuck off LC-kun.
megaman x6 fight me
X2, fr*ck the haters
A tie between 9, x2, and zero 3
Also a valid opinion
X
X2 and Battle Network 3/6.
Zero 3
Zero 4>9>Zero 3>Zero 2>3>2>Zero>11>X4>=X
StarForce 3 is the most enjoyable but the best is your favorite
Zero 4 and X4.
Is Mega Man the most consistent gaming franchise?
Not counting X, yeah
Definitely.
Even the "bad" games are only "ok"
Yes that includes x7 and 2
I've honestly loved literally every side series in the Megaman Franchise. Sadly my favorites, ZX, Legends, and SF ended before they got their next installment.
This makes me happy
zero>classic>x>zx>legends>>>>>>>>>>>bn>sf
prove me wrong
The one with the most fuckable boy
>Sadly my favorites, ZX, Legends, and SF ended before they got their next installment.
ZX and SF ended right when they got really interesting too
>ZX ended right before the world reset that might've linked to legends
>SF ending right before Geo ends up teaming up with one of Lan's descendants
>X that high
You already did.
>>ZX ended right before the world reset that might've linked to legends
As an ardent fan of Legends: I cannot imagine any way ZX could've actually manage that. Even if they spoil whatever they wanted to make Legends 3 about: There's at least three layers of history and they couldn't go through more than one. Which would be the first, and least identifiable.
Honestly, the series is pretty consistent.
>BN: 2, 3, 5, 6
5 is a little subjective though, since the chip codes are still pretty damn awful. 1 is fine, but you have to play Operation Starforce if you want the maps and improved features to make the game smoother. 4 is.. ass.
>Zero
All around great, except for the fact that you have to damn near be perfect at the games in order to unlock boss skills.
>ZX
Was solid, except ZX3 never happened to give us a proper conclusion. Besides that, the first ZX game could have used better quest management, and fuck Biometal repair. That shit got expensive.
>Starforce
1, and 3 are great. 2 is a little iffy because of how high the enemy encounters are, and the overall gameplay wasn't really an improvement from the first game, but I enjoyed it.
>X
1-4 are great, but the series falls off from 5 to 7. 8 is based, though.
>Legends
Both games were pretty solid. Shame we might never get a third installment, but I'll live.
>OG
Not too keen on the original series, but most of them are alright.
ZXA's ending was a heavy blow, specifically because they dropped a massive cliffhanger on us. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't have cared as much. I really wanted to play as Prometheus, and Pandora. As for SF, 3 was a great conclusion, but I'm really interested to see how 4 would have played out. Bringing in more BN lore could have led to Duo returning, among other things, but we may never know.
Legends 3 was the best one
>Classic
6 i think 7 is really good though
>X

>Zero
very difficult to choose between 3 and 2 but overall i think I enjoyed 3 more
>ZX

Are mega man fans the best video game fans?
there are some of us out there. I won't pretend it's the best one, but it's really enjoyable and I fucking love Napalm Man
C&F posters aside, Megaman threads tend to be extremely comfy so maybe
>As an ardent fan of Legends: I cannot imagine any way ZX could've actually manage that
Well Albert (I think?) mentioned at the end he wanted to "reset the world" which is commonly compared to God flooding the world to "reset" it.
So most people made the fan connection that since legends is mostly water + zx3 potentially leading to that "world reset" that might've been stopped halfway, is where we get the connection from.
That's all mainly fan canon since we never got zx3, so we were left to fill the gaps.
Is there anyone here who genuinely loves BN4 without saying they hate it? I honestly didn't mind Red Sun much. The Souls in that game were great, but it's held back by the overall net design, and tournament system. Plot was meh.
That's actually a pretty cool theory, assuming Master Thomas took up Albert's plan and ended up flooding the world somehow during the end events of ZX3. We may never know, but I hope one day in the future we can get that sequel.
How is MMHP.net still standing?
You guys are up there. I'm a casual guy who's played a handful of the original, X, and Zero games, so I don't have a big attachment to the series, but there's a lot of love for these games here. Refreshing to see on Yea Forums.
I'm an Ace Combatfag, so I appreciate threads being celebrations of games instead of bitch chambers. Good on you, MegaMan bros.
You can only choose one game between ZX3, SF4, and Legends 3 to come into reality, the other two are banished forever. What will it be, lads?
You say this like we didn't just get MM10 last year, and we'll probably end up getting X9 in the next year or two.
MM10 was a decade ago. You're thinking MM11.
But that website has been around for I think 20 years now.
2, 7, X, Legends 2, battlenetwork
I'd really have a hard time coming up with any fault in MMX1. Other series are more consistent and have there own great games, but I'd have trouble finding one which is easier to recommend, easier to replay, easier to get into or just sit down and enjoy.
megaman zero series. ZX wasnt that bad but lacked proper direction of Z
It depends. Half of MM threads on Yea Forums is just waifu pic dumping, and the overall fanbase can be very divided considering how many spinoffs there are
This thread's chill though, you guys are alright
Legends is my least favorite sub series because it's just one great game and one meh game (not counting Misadventures) but the other day i was thinking how i love Starforce just because 3 fixed everything 2 did wrong and much more. I'm sure if Legends 3 were released i would think more highly of that series
I really liked MMZX1. I'd easily consider it comparable to one of the Zero titles. However, the Zero series as a whole is far more consistently good and the four games together make the best series Mega Man has to offer. I'm not sure what direction you were looking for in the game.
I'd be okay with a new one but it would probably have to be like Battle Network and Legends where it makes a large departure and is heavily disconnected from everything.
mega man 3, easily
It's a mixed bag.
Often we can drag up our favourite sub series over the other ones, and can bitch about pandering to one specific subspecies.
Lots of heavy nostalgia too.
Battle Network X.
Also featuring navis based on MMZ reploids.
I thought this as well, until I went back and replayed it. I always considered the Doc Robot stages to be great, giving you an extra four stages to play through. But the new stages aren't really challenging as much as punishing: several just fuck you over completely and require killing yourself if you run out of the proper Rush energy to progress. Plus, all the Doc Robots just have random weaknesses which require you to spam weapons until you find the proper weakness, or basically just ace all the MM2 robots.
Yes, you could probably guess that Bubble Man is weak to Shadow Blade due to similarity to the MM2 Metal Blade, but what would make you think that Wood Man would be weak to Needle?
IDK, but there's definitely a lot less division in it then there is in other franchises of Mega Man's scope.
Everybody's going to have preferences, but you don't really see people going at each other's throats over ZX or Battle Network. It seems like everyone's played at least some of each series, and feels generally positive about those.
bump
X is the best
Really dig X2 and X4 as well
X2 was cool
>there's definitely a lot less division in it then there is in other franchises
That's because Mega Man is basically dead. Back when it was active, there was endless amount of shit flinging between classic vs. X vs. Zero, about people who liked ZX but thought it was a bad Metroidvania, about action games vs. Battle Network, about MMBN vs. MMSF. Most of it has calmed down just because everybody has been equally shat on, and so people who want to talk about Mega Man mostly just want to discuss the good old times. Everybody having played pretty much all of the series helps too, thanks mostly due to all the games coming out around the same time.
With the release of MM11 and the collections, everybody is now hopeful for their favorites to be revived, even if they don't care too much about others. So it's a fairly optimistic time to be a fan, and a lot of people are positive right now.
X1. There's no other answer.
>MMHP is still going
Nice.
What should a 3D Action X/Zero game be based off (DMC, MGR, Bayo, etc), how should it play, and what dev team would you want to make it?
I want to get into mega man, what games should I play
I would want a 3D MMZ game to be more action-adventure than pure arena fighting. More focus on area traversal and buster as an alternative option rather than merely as a tool for keeping your combo going. Being able to walk around the resistance base in 3d would be nice too. It would also be nice to have missions like infiltrating Neo Arcadia and seeing what things are like on the ground in there outside of combat.
I wanna fuck Roll Caskett
>3D action game
Then I want a musou with reps from each series.
>Then I want a musou
That's the dullest style of gameplay for an action-based crossover.
>I want to get into mega man, what games should I play
Mega Man X1. Mega Man X4 is a great (mostly) upgrade that gives you a ton more stuff to do. The MMX series is fairly hit or miss overall; MMX1-4 are fairly good, if generic at times. MMX5 and later had major quality issues, although I've heard that MMX8 is good.
Mega Man 2 to get into the classic games. MM6 is a pretty good next option if you like it and want more, but want something a bit cleaner with the moves the later games have. MM classic is overall more consistent, but it's easy to dislike the games if you aren't used to the playstyle.
Mega Man Zero series is basically MMX4 with its Zero playthrough, just a lot harder. If you liked that, then give MMZ a try. The whole series is good, so just play them in order.
Mega Man ZX takes the concepts from MMX1 and MMZ1, where you have open areas and some interconnection, and tries to turn it all into a metroidvania. Overall, I like it quite a bit, and it's not too difficult. The sequel, MMZX Advent, stumbles quite a bit but is good for more ZX.
The rest of the games are spinoff series. Mega Man Legends is basically MM trying to be Zelda, with awkward controls but likeable characters. Start with MML1 if you want to try it. Mega Man Battle Network is basically the classic series, except in a card-collecting RPG strange battle system with a Saturday morning vibe. I'd recommend playing the classic games (if you can) before starting just to see the references. Otherwise, you can start with MMBN1 but that game is terribly clunky - MMBN2 is vastly better and a good starting point. Mega Man StarForce takes the general idea of MMBN but dumbs it down far too much. You can play it separately (the two aren't connected) so just start with MMSF1 if you are interested.
>Da Vinci making mechas from wood, metal and leather back in the late 15th century
There has to be some piece of media that uses a setting like this right? This sounds too good to not already exist.
Thanks
How many action-based crossover games are there?
4,x2,z3,zx1.
The Zero/ZX series is my favorite of the bunch. Tight gameplay, great spritework, and fantastic story.
user...
Grab the classic legacy collections, and play from 1 onwards is my recommendations for 2 reasons:
1) If you can handle mm1's bs you can handle the bs from the rest of the classic series (which gets less and less as the series goes on)
2) If you can handle the classic's difficulty, you'll breeze through X no problem
X to zero
zero to zx
etc etc
tl;dr: Start from 1 and go onward. if you only want the good games then skip 2 it's the worst nes game
No, Castlevania and Dragon Quest are much more consistent, Mega Man has plenty of dogshit games
The zero games are really great, I just wish they'd port them with widescreen support and they'd be perfect.
command mission because rpgs>platformers>3rd person shooters(legends)
>skip 2 it's the worst nes game
>Consistently good
>Castlevania
>Quality divebombs once it stops being what made it so great (hard but rewarding start to finish game where you don't get lost because every room looks the same)
I will stand by that opinion until I die.
Nothing wrong if it's your favorite, I just don't think it's all that great it's not bad, I said that to spark the is mm2 good or bad debate every mm thread seems to have atleast one of
Based taste but
What’s DoS
Megaman fully charged was okay and doesn’t deserve the hate it got because it tried to be different and new
Castlevania threads are such a shitshow because of the genre shift. Is this what it would be like if MMBN had happened and then they only made one or two regular platforming Megaman games in the next twenty years afterwards? Every thread devolves into extreme bitterness from Classicvania fans who don't like the Metroidvania titles.
The N64 games weirdly fall into a similar but far more niche position as Legends.
I want to watch it once it comes to a streaming service since I've heard positive things about it later on.
Apparently it started pretty eh but the writing gets much better as it goes on.
also I actually kind of like his design
As somebody said like a year ago, Megaman is probably the wrong franchise to be in if you don't like new takes and reinventing itself. Even BN's anime adaptation swerves in a wildly different direction to the games.
Ah, never go to cv threads much since I'm not super huge into the series (I only like the classicvanias pretty much)
Credit where credit is due, I prefer the stories of the metroidvanias, but the gameplay of the classics. If the (hopefully) next game is a mixture of the two that'd be awesome.
Also, are the n64 games any good? Never tried em/no one talks about them hardly.
May I ask why you think this way?
>Also, are the n64 games any good?
The N64 games are not for everybody. A lot of people are immediately turned off by the gameplay and clunky early 3d camera, but they offer their own unique spin and atmosphere and they're the most platformy 3d take on Castlevania. Very much love it or hate it.
While X5 is my personal favorite. I think it's based of series
Classic: 3
X: 1
Zero: 3
Battle Net: 3 or 6
Starforce: 3
Legends: 2
X is the best though
Is that the one with the boss in the lava area that will literally stand still until you attack? If so, kys please
I suck at explaining but here we go:
>Terrible weapon balancing with only one maybe two viable weapons
>Quickman's boss design (some attacks are undodgeable no matter where you are last I checked, so correct me if I'm wrong and they've found methods to do no damage)
>Level design is wonky (heat man's block puzzle, dick enemy placements like that one sniper joe at the end of wily 2 in the hallway right before the boobeam trap)
>Speaking of boobeam traps, boobeam trap
>Air man has some undodgeable patterns
>Wily's final phase only being damaged by one of the worst weapons in the game
Probably more but those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head.
This is going to sound kind of plugging and (I can't make my own opinions) but check Nico Evaluates playthrough of mm2 where he points out a lot of design problems (he has them for most of he classic series, they're pretty good background noise)
Again, nothing wrong if you love 2 just stating it isn't the god tier game everyone makes it out to be.
X4
Alright Capcom, we had OG Megaman and Megaman X Legacy Collections, where's the Zero and ZX Collections where they give us a better camera?
wasn't there a zero collection on 3ds?
DS and yes, there was.
It even had neat features like improved music
Zero Collection with better camera and optional X-aesthetic sprites
>What’s DoS
Disk Operating System, as in MS-DOS, the operating system before Windows came out. It is an incredibly shitty game that has no relation to anything else Mega Man, outside the name and I suppose general idea.
youtube.com
Here's a video of it in action, running at the intended full speed. It apparently runs incorrectly on a lot of modern systems, making it literally impossible to play.

Feels bad, he deserves it

Any of the ones where you can play as a character that's not mega man because he controls like dog shit.
The one who is has actually free will, Zero
It’s been awhile, but Model X and Model Z are still the original X and Zero, correct?
Nice.
Kind of? Ciel made them, and they are clearly based on the characters. But nothing indicates directly that they are X, Zero, and so on. Plus, There would be some troubles with Ciel recovering pieces from certain characters (Phantom, Zero, X really) in order to use anything in a biometal.
I'd hazard a guess that their "cyberelf" might be made into them, given that even Phantom was still around during MMZ3, but that's pure speculation on my part.
IIRC the game stated that she based the Biometals off of Model W. Given that Model W had Weil's soul, it could be inferred that the souls of X and Zero were used, but this is never directly confirmed. However, Model A's existence could be evidence against needing the souls of the previous heroes.
Whoever made Weil's body is the biggest genius after Light and Wily.
That thing turned an old human into an immortal who could survive a satellite laser, and even after exploding in orbit with said satellite his remains were still half-alive and became the basis for biometal.

Megaman and Bass.
Classic: 4
X: 8
Zero: 3
>I haven't seen a Robot Master pattern worse than Stone Man.
Knight Man is pretty bad.
>moderate run speed, but spends most of the fight jumping verrrryyy sllooowwwllyy
>occasionally remembers to attack, but has the slowest projectile in the game and stands solid-still while using it
I'd argue Napalm Man is at least as bad as Stone Man.
Best Mega Man song? (Official remasters or remixes are allowed)
>I haven't seen a Robot Master pattern worse than Stone Man
At the very least Knight Man's shield makes the fight a little bit trickier.
battle network >zx>x>legends>the rest
Mega Man Battle Network 3 is one of the best games ever created. A GBA classic.
X1 by a long shot. None of the other games are even close.
Zero 2
I replayed it and remembered how much a a chore the quests are.
Still, one of my favorites
It's weird that I never talk about mega man on Yea Forums considering it has always been my favorite franchise. I feel like there's nothing new going on, and so there's nothing any of you can tell me that I didn't already know.
bump
>no Mega Man love
Come on anons. Where are you?
The Zero series isn't that great. Same with ZX.
In space
What do you guys want/expect to see out of a hypothetical X9 and 12?
Good gameplay for X9. I'd say 11 shows that Capcom knows what they're doing when it comes to classic style. Maybe some more memorable music tho.
My only gripe with Megaman at this point in time, is the fact that the only series still active are Classic, and X. ZX, and Legends have the material present to make a sequel, but the chances of either getting revived is slim to none. They might as well make another sub series.
Classic: MM2 or MM3
MMX: X1
Mega Man Zero: Zero 3
Legends: 2
Battle Network: 5
ZX: 1
Starforce: Irrelevant
ZX and Legends don't sell.
The way Legends 3 was cancelled was complete BS I'll admit, but ZX is likely never getting a sequel. X9 isn't exactly a guarantee either. Even Mega Man 11 wasn't anywhere near as good as MM9 or MM10.
Is x or zx even still active to be honest
fucking boomer and yes I agree
No. Inti Creates is working on other projects, and MMX just got doomed to a mobile game.
Mega Man fans care way more about the franchise than Capcom does.
It's slow, baby steps with a Megaman revival. Capcom got enough from the Legacy Collections to do 11, and were happy with what they got from XLC and 11, so X9 is probably on its way.
After X9 would probably come 12, and then maybe a spin-off or XX.
as a kid did anyone else loved X series and hated the classic because you couldnt dash in the classic series? as older I learned to appreciate the tight and precise platforming in the classic megaman games
I prefer the X series characters, themes and music.
Robot masters are better than Mavericks though for the most part.
No gimmick stages for X9. The latter half of the X series had way too much of those.
Ride Chasers are cool but they never did implement them right.
>MMX just got doomed to a mobile game
The mobile game that was in development before 11 or the Legacy Collections were even announced?
cant explain but I hope X9 would be the same for X series what MM11 was for the classic series
keep the good old core gameplay but add some new interesting twists
Didn't know that, fair point. I'm hopeful then, but I highly doubt modern Capcom cares enough to make X9.
X got pushed pretty hard in MvC, getting Sigma and X added in even while 11 was in development.
of course, don't take it as "confirmed omfg" but Mega Man's in the best spot it's been in ever since Zero ended.
Also true. Damn, I really hope you're right. It's hard getting hyped up after being burned by Capcom so much.
Battle Network 3
It's kind of weird for me. I don't miss the dash or wall climb when I play the NES games, but I do when I play 7 or 8. It almost feels like I remember playing them with those two things in, which were then removed from the current version of the game. I've always contributed it to the 16 and 32 bit graphics reminding me of X and it playing hell with my muscle memory.
MM&B
I would say
OG: 2, 3
X: 1, 4, 5, 8
Z: 3, 4 though all of the games were great, the weapon experience was dumb, only understandable on the 1st tho...
ZX: Pretty much any of the 2, both were solid
Haven't played SF or BN.
BN 5 double team
This.
Shit man this is too tough to compare all of them to each other, so:
>Classic
9 is the best, but 3 is my favorite. All of them are at least great. This is real tough for me to rate.
>X
X4 is my favorite, but the original is probably the best. All of them besides X7 have redeeming qualities. CM is notable for maximum style.
>Zero
Zero 3 is the best of the bunch. The ranking structure blows ass and I'm not a fan of the character/weapon design. 2 had great setpieces but was stricken with absolute shit execution for stages. 4 was very easy, but not to its detriment.
>ZX
ZXA improved on the original, I feel. Too bad the transformation gimmick isn't utilized as well as I feel it should've been. ZX fans got shafted super hard, and I sympathize with them as a Legendsfag.
>Legends
1 is more immersive, but I really like how open 2 is. This answer changes daily. MoTB is also excellent. Probably my favorite series. I will always hope for Legends 3.
>BN
I haven't played much of this series, but 2 was pretty fun. I hear 3 really turns things up, but I haven't played it yet. Network Transmission is also pretty fun.
>SF
I haven't had a chance to play these yet, so I can't answer.
>Ace Combat fan
Bring the snow, brother.
I fucking love ZX
Especially the godly ost, still listen to it 5 years later
m.youtube.com
It would be cool as a new IP.
X4
Literally fucking Reddit.

Objectively the best answer.

Keep dreaming, little bro.
9 is far superior to 2. I'm not sure it's the best one but it does everything 2 does and does it much better.
If that was the plan though that would come out of order with the ancient system. Unless the flood happened twice, or they just built ruins while underwater to fuck with archeologists.
I took "Reset" and the whole Man-Machine rant Thomas as invoking the Carbon Reinitialization Program. Which would definitely be a problem because that'd just have Thomas' plan be to commit genocide and try to replace everyone with his "improved" humanoids.
Daily reminder that everything is Light's fault and would be much better if I were in charge.
>Zero and ZX Collections where they give us a better camera?
Unless they completely rewrite the games it's not gonna happen
>steampunk
Nah
This. There's a romhack of Zero Collection which gives you an expanded field of view but since the game is still programmed to spawn enemies in around the GBA FOV you see a lot of glitchy shit around the borders of the display.
2 is unbalanced as fuck, has slippery physics and some questionable level design choices at points.
Highly overrated, especially by casuals that only breezed through normal mode instead of hard mode, the original difficulty the game is supposed to be played in.
X2 is literally better in every way
ZX 1 has the best gameplay in the series
the metroidvania design is fucking garbage
It always seemed weird to me he either couldn't or didn't to regulate his unstable reactor with the Energy Equalizer he just fucking gave Megs.
I dont think you know what metroidvania means
It has an interconnected layout but once you get to a stage you are in the stage, a linear stage with a boss at the end
Yeah the stages themselves are fine
but the layout and mission system is utter trash
>that horrible map
>The horrible level design
>Faux metroidvania mechanics that bring no value to the game
No.
I think its blow out of proportion becuase it was a new element
It really doesnt take very long to get from place to place
But sure I accept it as a flaw of the game
But I still maintain it has the best gameplay in the series within the stages
>That horrible map
The only valid point in your shitty post
The level design is actually pretty good IMO.
You have to know where you're going, and the map doesn't make it easy to know that at all. It adds very little to the game - a romhack that removes it entirely would be welcome.
He's a paranoid fuck running on prototype parts and spaghetti code. Probably thinks he'll blue screen if he's shut off for repairs, so better to not take any chances.
I think getting rid of the mission stations would fix these issues
But that shit's plug 'n play.
Who's your favorite robot master?
Mine's Sparkman, because he looks unique and has a cool song. I used to draw him in kindergarten, with that twisty torso and handlebar hat.
For Rock, it is. We know very little about Blue's specs, but we know he's a very basic model with no particular job in mind. He was a proof of concept more than anything, so it's doubtful he has the ports for adapters. He's never even been seen using the variable weapon system that Rock uses, canonically speaking. His only option is to be shut down for repairs, and that seems to scare the shit out of him, so he'd rather die on his own terms.
Not a robot master or boss, but the one that CLANGCLANGCLANG behinds you.
