Do you have other characters you haven't done demonstrations, trials, story, or survival with? If so do them and maybe you can get enough FM. You only get 1,000 FM per level up now, no other bonuses.

I guess, I don't pay attention to that stuff but you get like 250 FM for "do 10 V-Reversals" or something, if that's what you mean. The requirements change each week.
