I literally did it as soon as i possibly could and only bought my switch for that sole purpose. and boy is it great. I'm also very glad that i did it, because if i had paid full price for this console (I didn't) and was forced to pay 70 cdn per game I'd feel completely robbed.

If you power off it’ll just boot into normal non cfw mode (you don’t lose anything from the cfw mode) theres this portable device called an rcm loader which makes it more convenient to switch between the two if you play alot of online

If you're using auto-rcm you'll be stuck in black screen rcm mode until you send a new payload.

If you're not using auto-rcm, your system will simply turns off and when powered again you'll have to, again, enter rcm mode manually to send the payload allowing you to enter cfw.
In short you cannot turn your console off without quitting cfw. It's currently impossible.

Forgot to say: a recent update on reinx and other cfw will allow your console to automatically resend the payload directly from your SD card if your console crash or if you turn it off. It's useful if you don't have access to your PC.

It's tedious because if you were using auto-rcm and letting your battery die by mistaking the rcm mode with the console being turned off, you could end up with a 100% depleted battery, and it's fucking ASS to recharge it in rcm mode.

I'm talking about hours letting the switch glued to a power source because rcm mode only allow a small % of power to recharge your batteries. And you can't send a payload when the battery is empty so you're stuck for hours.

Yeah, just gotta decide if you want autorcm or not.
Autorcm: Don't need the jig/paperclip to get into rcm, but if your battery dies, it'll take a long time to get it to even power on again
No autorcm: Need the paperclip/jig to get into rcm every time, but no worrying about the battery thing, plus easier to boot official firmware if you wanted to
