And aside from that, we already know Squenix ARE going to modify plot elements, insert their fanfic characters into the story and backstory of the game, and change a whole bunch of gameplay mechanics. And censor all sorts of shit. As well as dumb the game down in various ways so it's not too hard by modern standards; everyone regardless of age must be able to just "easily pick it up" and play. And the game must appeal to and be FOR everyone; it can't offend anyone at all, it can't be allowed to even in the slightest bit offend women, africans, or faggots or any other sort of "minority" group -- and you all know what that means: censorship and re-writing dialogue and changing scenes. The characters getting fucked up designs will be only a drop in the ocean of shit wrong with the remake.

Sure, but in D&D there's GROWTH at each of those 20 levels. After you cap out, you have spells, skills, and perks you didn't have previously that make you a powerhouse compared to your level 1 counterpart.
You know what you're going to get after 20 levels in Midgar? Another 200 base damage, one new limit break, and a handful of materia that may or may not have a second level spell unlocked.
