Astral Chain probably
or Link's Awakening if you haven't played it before
I've actually got three vouchers left. The ones on my wishlist are:
>BotW
>Odyssey
>Xenoblade
>MK8
>Star Allies
>DxM
>Astral Chain
>Luigi's Mansion 3
What do?
Don't have a voucher, but I have 60 bucks exact. What do I buy? Nothing comes to mind.
Breath of the Wild first
then wait for Astral Chain reviews
used one for Mario Maker, the other will probably be for Pokemon or AC.
it'd help if you at least had a certain type of game in mind
Is there a Switch game worth getting in the holiday season besides DQ11?
I already bought Fire Emblem and I ordered Astral Chain physically on Amazon.
Should I get Mario Maker 2?
you'll get more mileage out of MM2 if you're the type to actually try and make levels, but even then there's still infinite levels out there to try for yourself and it's only 3 GB. Multiplayer unfortunately suffers from too much lag but that's only a small part of the game.
I have eight
Definitely getting LM3, LAR
Maybe getting AC and DxM
Tempted on DQB2 and DQXIS
Holding on to a couple for surprises next year
I don't have Mario Maker 2 or Fire Emblem and I've never really played the latter though I heard it's praised by everyone it's just easy. The former is Mario of course, but I can't think of creating good levels. And then there's shit that I'll buy eventually, though I'll admit I'm not really excited about the first one:
>Pokémon
>Link's Awakening maybe
>Luigi's Mansion
Then a huge question mark because I'm not a Platinum guy:
>Astral Chain
How big is DQXI? I'm thinking about using my last Voucher on it, but space is an issue
Whatever it is. The length is worth it.
Just expand you space.
MM2 if you like platforming or level building
FE3H is on the easy side right now but we're getting 2 higher difficulty modes patched in for free.
Nat Dex issues aside I just haven't been impressed by anything Sword & Shield has been showing. If you've played the last 2 gens it's pretty much the same thing. Plus you know they'll just releast UltraSword and UltraShield next year.
Never played LA so I can't judge that one.
Have you played the other Luigi games? You'll probably like this one if you have.
I've played a couple of Platinum games but they all basically involve a series of graded fights per level. There's a lot of freedom in how you fight though so you can pull off some wicked combos. Even though that's the common premise for each game all Platinum games have different combat styles so they never feel repetitive.
What are these vouchers?
Yeah, what are they? Free games?
Where does one get one?
You buy 2 vouchers for 100 euros and buy 2 games that cost 60 each. Meaning, you saved 20 euros. For digital games only.
They're not on sale anymore but you could buy two vouchers for $99.99 and exchange each for a game (so in theory you buy two $59.99 games and save $20)
The eshop sells 2 vouchers for $100. A voucher gets you a free game. Yes, people are this dumb for thinking this is some kind of special deal.
What? They don't sell them in certain regions anymore?
I mean like, I could just buy Physical. I'm interested in a good solid RPG so I'll be getting it either way
Now that you mention it, maybe just America, because NoA likes to take everything away from us for no reason
Unless you are a dumbass and buy a $40 dollar game, it saves money

>Will the Nintendo Switch Game Voucher special offer return in the future?
>As of July 31, 2019, Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers are no longer available for purchase. Previously purchased Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers can be redeemed for eligible digital titles up to 12 months from the purchase date. Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers are not currently scheduled to return, but Nintendo of America is continually evaluating special offers for Nintendo Switch Online members.
rip. I wanted to get another pair since I'm a digital fag. Oh well.
It'll probably come back next year.
>Europe and Japan can still buy as many vouchers as they want
What the hell man?
I can't decide on going for astral chain or seeing if crystal chronicles will become a option.
Why waste money on these vouchers when you can get physical games for the same price or cheaper without the danger of losing everything if your switch stops working because Nintendo can't implement an account system to save their lives?
Out of curiosity, an you use a voucher between two Switches or is it on one Switch only? We can still buy them in Europe.
>MM2
I think I'll get Mario Maker eventually, I just don't know if I should get it right now because I would get bored staring at the screen, thinking of level layouts. I know you can just play others' levels, but the core is level creation.
>FE
Having never played FE before, I'm just worried about not enjoying it if I were to buy it. I would feel like I wasted my money. What should I do to avoid this issue?
>LM3
I've played both of them. Apparently with this one they listened to feedback from Dark Moon.
>Having never played FE before, I'm just worried about not enjoying it if I were to buy it. I would feel like I wasted my money. What should I do to avoid this issue?
You could play FE3 on the SNES, the peak of FE or one of the GBA games. The gameplay is somewhat different, but it's still very similar.
emulate FE7 and see if you like the style
>tfw I could have gotten a voucher weeks ago but cucked myself into the physical copy meme
Feel bad man
XC2 and Astral Chain
>Having never played FE before, I'm just worried about not enjoying it if I were to buy it.
Honestly as long as you like JRPGs 3H should be satisfying enough. Do you like the concept of tactics games where you move your 10 units on a grid and have to defeat the enemy 30 units? The game is that plus some additional life sim elements in school form. you have a lot of freedom to customize and train your guys in ways you couldn't in past games.
i have 1 left, which one should I use it on; DQXI, Zelda, or Luigi's Mansion 3?
It's not really a good deal, its just alright, for instance I plan on getting DQ XI and Astral Chain, the smart thing to do here is to buy the vouchers and save myself ~15$. I imagine people were only buying digital games on sale so Nintendo did this.
Who else is waiting to see if Animal Crossing will be put on the voucher system
One of my vouchers is reserved for Luigi's Mansion 3, and if I can't use my second one on AC I'll probably get DQ or links awakening
How do you get a voucher?
Links Awakening and Luigi's Mansion 3.
Animal Crossing I'll buy in a few years when its on sale.
>regret not buying vouchers when Fire Emblem is getting praised
>get it physical for $50 on amazon anyway
Huh. Guess i won out.
But you can transfer them between systems now? Just not certain game saves.
It looks like every Nintendo published game is getting added
That's usually the case. Vouchers only worth it if you want a digital copy day one. With discounted eshop cards, I got my voucher for around $95.
I got SMM2 for $44 from MassGenie a few days after it released. .
Already used one on MM2. The other one I'm deciding on whether to use it for FE or DQ, neither of which I've played a game in the series before. I like turn based RPGs in general so I'd probably be happy with either one.
>With discounted eshop cards, I got my voucher for around $95.
Should've used Newegg, they had $50 eshop cards for $45.
My state has 10% sales tax, I saved over $10 on cards but most of it just went to the tax.
SOON
>newegg charging tax
Where are they even located? Most online retailers don't charge sales tax without an in-state location.
Legally you have to report it and pay anyway, but no one ever does.
Happened to me a couple years back when Amazon started charging tax on PoS because of it.
>Not channeling your inner jew and using Raise sales to bring your voucher cost down to $80
It was the voucher purchase that was taxed, not the eshop cards.
I didn't realize that, my mistake. I only bought the cards for a friend who bought vouchers, so i didn't see the tax myself then. As stated, i ended up buying FE physical for $50 anyway.
>Buy vouchers on Jap eShop because better deal (some games go for ¥8000+)
>Nothing interesting to use my 2nd ticket on
>Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers are not currently scheduled to return, but Nintendo of America is continually evaluating special offers for Nintendo Switch Online members.
NoA must love being retarded.
I don't get why everyone is all over these vouchers, they're not actually a good deal at all considering the inflated prices on the eShop to begin with compared to buying elsewhere.
