Which one is your favorite character class for RPG setting?
Which one is your favorite character class for RPG setting?
Healer, too bad basically no single player game really lets you do it
White Human Male Paladin / Warrior.
Spellsword. Always spellsword.
god what is it about oblivion's artstyle that's so revolting
anyway assassin or anything that lets me stealthily pick things off from a distance
I always pick Archer. Preferably in games with great bows.
Cleric/Knight/Paladin
I like being tanky as fuck and healing.
battlemage, zap your ass and mace yo face
if you're going to stretch that hard to make up a million supposedly-distinguishable classes, why bother having classes at all? just let players pick talents.
class systems work best when there's 4-5 at most, they each have a handful of totally unique abilities that handles differently to any other, and then some customization options after that
Knight/Warrior/Spellsword
Lol assassin what a faggot, the art style is great you are just some giant cuck who probably only likes soulless jap shit
cleric
Bard if I'm playing for shits and giggles.
Acrobat/Assassin if I wanna have some sweaty tryhard fun.
Cleric/Crusader if I want to actively help my team.
>Healer
Cleric if theyre D&D style smashy tanky support
Beguiler/Illusionist if the game supports creative bullshit
Paladin/Dark Knight otherwise
Agent would be amazing if there was actually an RPG that let you do real-life agent shit
>max Disguise instead of Sneak
>max Forgery instead of Lockpicking
>bribe guards instead of killing them
>carry no weapons so that you can slip into castles dressed like a noble
A shame most RPGs boil down to either slashy slashy or talky talky.
So you either max combat skills or social skills depending on the setting/system.
>[OPPORTUNITY] "Man, Belthazarious is up in his tower working on his latest summoning, I heard he wants to summon a succbus but he told me you have to really careful because you might mix up the ingredients and summon a hellspawn that will tear you to shreads"
>"Wow, can you imagine? Luckly, no one is allowed there besides his apprentice but his new apprentice late today, probably at the tavern drinking, but it's ok becasue he has the keys AND a bag of different poisons"
What's the difference between battlemage, spellsword and sorcerer?
>ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED:
>Do The Thing We Told You To Do
thanks hitman
>heavy armor/blunt
>light armor/blade
>heavy armor/no weapon
IIRC
Nightblade. Rogue with magic is something else.
what are some games that don't name their classes regularly rpg classe? (knight thief healer/white mage etc.)
Why do all the characters look like gay models?
They do, those are just presets
Monk so I can just utterly smash people with my fists
Battlemage is basically being a warrior and a mage with light armor
Spellsword is a warrior and mage wearing heavy armor
Sorcerer your basically a complete mage with heavy armor but you utilize magic artifacts (or create your own). I like RPing as a sorcerer in Oblivion who is in search of powerful magic artifacts because I'm too much of a pleb to be a real mage.
Who is the middle one?
Mage or battlemage. Not enough games do battlemages right
It's actually very possible in Skyrim. In fact, it's downright overpowered.
never played an elder scroll game before? the point is that all the premade class suck 100x more dick than the gayest roman ever did, so you make your own
mage/wizard master race
even better if they're scholar/knowledge themed and let you carry around a tome or a book. shit is cash
You got battlemage and spellsword flipped around.
the point is healing others user, not restoration being the most powerful school of magic, has it mostly always has been
Nightblade or Witchhunter here. At least in Morrowind, Witchhunter was probably the most difficult character for me to get off the ground.
Look at OPs pic, the battlemage is clearly wearing light armor while the spellsword is wearing heavy
Spellshield.
Thief with max luck
battlemage doesn't even wear any armor in thruth.
but yeah, spellsword is heavy.
literally a warrior mage
Dragon's Dogma does this. Other games should too, but they barely even get spellswords right.
I think Grim Dawn is one of them. Not a big fan of that game, though.
Wizard first. Then spellsword. The FF-type spellsword that unleashes spells through melee attacks.
Also like to sometimes try and build a hexer, just focusing on debuffing the ever living fuck out of everything. Only works in party based rpgs, though.
wtf does that even mean?
faggot
not a faggot
ultrafaggot
not a faggot
not a faggot
not a faggot
Gigafaggot
Tripplefaggot
not a faggot
There is none, they are all humongous faggots
niggerfaggot
not a faggot
Megafaggot
Doublefaggot
not a faggot
Giganiggerfaggot
shame this game is ending.
It was sad how all these classses looked really interesting only to end up being boring and you really only played battleamage or spellsword.
Bard.
I really liked how Dragon's Dogma did classes. Sadly it's the only game with real distinction outside of turnbased snorefests.
Monk or Cleric
I can appreciate the effort to emulate the art style, I just don't understand why you'd want to
Because trannies are retarded.
Necromancer.
Dragon's Dogma.
Whatever lets me smash things with a big fucking hammer or axe, so usually warrior, barbarian or knight type classes.
If using a shield doesn't cripple your damage or force you into some kind of tanking role I'll play that a lot also. Too many games think Sword + Shield = Defense therefore shit damage while Sword + Sword = More Damage than one sword.
>that acrobats foot
>that rogue with the giant tits
Knights.
you mean you only played your own class because all the premade are shitty?
aty least it's not daggerfall though.
Beat all the Elder Scrolls games with a stock Nightblade. Would Nightblade again.
You picked the wrong pic OP.
Warrior
>I beat all the elder scrolls on easy mode
Paladin any time and always.
I'm a lawfag IRL and getting to smash (always blunt weapons) some degenerate until its pulp will always be immensely satisfying.
I'm going to mod skyrim so some janky shitty cap is that pink pussy cap and just smash the fuck out of them when I get home.
If the game lets me shield bash into the mace bashing I cum buckets.
Based cunnyseur
Big strong warriors/tanks, either neutral or chaotic evil
This is because I'm a good boy wizard irl and I don't want to play as yself
Battlemage, what magic can't handle I overcome it with pure strength.
>All those classes are either combat, magic or stealth
>no mix
I won't fall for your trick, I defeat everyone using an halberd and magic
Witch hunter or anything equivalent to monster hunting, werewolves, vampires etc but not bound by the divinity that paladins are.
I love this mindset.
>oh fuck the spell is about to fizzle
>just flex thru it man
>Armageddon successfully cast
>I was just trying to cast disarm trap
Rogue/Thief every time, preferably with a some spellcasting.
For me it's the monk.
Pray to your fickle gods whilst I palm strike you in the temple so you can meet them personally.
>I beat all the elder scrolls on gay mode
Oh what? You're welcome Dianna.
>What matters is that there is no more trap.
>And chest, or even room.
Cat pussy in an unmodded Bethesda game Bethesda offers for free since the 10th anniversary on their official website.
Stop it borus, I don't want to be a bard
Wow, you know how to use a bow efficiently, and that light armor, and those restoration spells, you must be a skilled Warrior!
>I beat all the elder scrolls on pleb mode
It means: get the fuck outta my thread, faggot.
We all hate you here.
The one that can hit locusts.
Spellsword is great.
For some reason I always got pilgrim.
Every spellsword is a fucking intellectual pussy.
>HURR DURR I CAN'T DECIDE BETTER JUST CHOOSE BOTH
They're just centrists of RPGs; mighty cowards.
I experimented with this and my results suggested that it's entirely random in what he suggests.
I only used destruction magic and I got considered an assassin class.
Dark ranger. My major skills are athletics, stealth, light armor, and marksman. My areas of magical expertise are illusion, restoration, and conjuration. I can sneak around, conjure a bound bow, turn invisible, mind control people, strike my enemies down with arrows, and summon a demon ally. If wounded I can easily escape with my speed, illusions, and summons to cover my retreat, then I can heal quickly.
Dark Hunter naturally.
It's a fucking nightblade dude
No, it's dark ranger.
You're not...
You're not retarded, are you?
What's the difference between a battlemage and a spellsword?
Nightblades use swords, not bows, and they don't have sneaking or illusion as skills in Oblivion for some reason.
Battlemages are cool, but they suck. They get blades and blunt but no blocking skills or armor. They get alchemy, alteration, conjuration, destruction, and mysticism.
Spellswords get blades, block, heavy armor, alteration, illusion, destruction, and restoration. Do you want to be a fireball wielding knight who can turn invisible, pull Jedi mind tricks, use magic to open locks, and heal yourself? Spellsword is easy and fun.
Not much difference in Oblivion, in Morrowind, Battlemage was a tank mage while Spellsword was more a purely offensive class.
Righteous Spellsword, Malicious Nightblade, and I guess an in-between “Mercenary” class that only cares about enchanting and alchemy when it comes to magic-stuff but prefers solid weapons.
The first is always an Imperial who’s devoted to the Divines, the second is usually a Khajiit whom I portray as admirers of Mephala (or Mafala), and the last is a toss-up between a Redguard or Dunmer.
Nightblades use bows, at least in Morrowind.
The more artificial vaginas someone's got, the more likely they're going to die.
The fuck?
Chad Battlemage/Spellsword
Yeah in Morrowind I would choose a nightblade, you're right. These class pictures are from Oblivion so I worked off of that.
willing to experiment with systems makes you a coward, who would have thought
