Thinking about buying ESO, I could do everything Solo? best class?
Thinking about buying ESO, I could do everything Solo? best class?
bump
At this point you should plan on playing solo.
Game is just skyrim multiplayer not a real mmo from what I've seen.
I think you can do most stuff solo but it still has some dungeons.
Is there a specific class to do Solo or every class can do it?
It really is an MMO, if you go in trying to avoid the Multiplayer aspects you're gonna be disappointed at every turn. The quests are all pretty straightforward "go location, kill enemies" style, even worse than skyrim and the damn draugr. It's very far from a traditional TES game, but if you like MMOs then it's fun
>but if you like MMOs then it's fun
I just want a big ass game with content and things to do, not another WoW
Honestly I only played 3-4h better go to /vg/ and ask there.
Look for /tesog/
Sorry dude. The bulk of the game seems to be doing dungeons in four man groups, or PvP which is a massive shitshow. Also there are a surprising amount of heavily autistic role play guilds.
How do I make my orcs look that cute?
bless of dibella body
>i want to play an MMO
>solo only tho
Well Skyrim was released in fucking 2011 and there's not going to be another Elder Scroll until 2030 so yes I want to play some Elder Scroll game but not MMO trash with their dramas, their guilds and the rest of that
I say give it a shot then. It can definitely occupy a lot of time. Your character gains skill levels for just about everything. If you can look past shallow low level combat you can enjoy the theorycrafting of wacky max level builds. I have a nightblade healer that supports with damage and speed buffs, lifesteals and goes invisible if anyone looks tries to attack me.
ESO is a good elderscrolls game that suffers from other players existing. They'll kill your mobs, snipe your bosses, and just ruin the immersion.
The base game is pretty boring, but the dlcs are rock solid (at least from what I've played in Morrowind, Summerset, and Murkmire). I'm currently waiting for the population in elsweyr to dry up before I start playing it.
Also, they implemented levelscaling, so you can just directly go wherever you want. This means you are generally a jack of all trades at the beginning. As you level up, the things you spec for will get more powerful, but the things you don't spec for will drastically lose power. For instance, if you don't put anything into health, 20 levels in that low-lvl rat at the beginning of the game will suddenly be able to 3-shot you (barring any armor). I personally like this as it allows me to essentially tune the difficulty, but I've heard alot of complaints for the system.
You can do every quest and content except dungeons solo. There are even specific dungeons that are solo or open world.
But can I mod it to be a big titty skank like other elder scrolls games?
man, i love elder scrolls and so i will say this sincerely that ESO is not an elder scrolls game and a few hours into your ESO adventure you will see what i mean
I'm getting mixes responses about this
it's a good game but if you go in expecting it to be an elder scrolls game then you will be disappointed
Yeah but what about the faces
their faces are very plain
It's a fun little MMO and a terrible TES game.
If you enjoy trading, being in a guild, managing inventory, gathering mats and crafting them, dungeoneering, raiding, and doing "bring me five bear asses" quests with an elder scrolls aesthetic, then go for it.
If you expect a typical WRPG experience you're going to be thoroughly disappointed. Hardly any quests have choices and none of them are meaningful.
Trading?
They don't even have a global marketplace. Trading is shit in this game and was the final deal breaker for me.
Beni.
>If you enjoy trading, being in a guild
I'm too old for this shit, I just want a game with a ok to nice story about Elder Scrolls where I can learn more about the lore I will enjoy it YES or NO?
Did you mean Touched by Dibella - Enhanced?
I've been playing the game off and on since launch (PS4), and I still don't really know what the hell I'm doing.
yep
Cool, just wanted to be sure.
Yes, if you're willing to wade through all the shit I just mentioned to get to it.
where can I find more orc pictures
be the one making these, just buy Skyrim
you can totally do just about everything solo, even the public dungeons (though its much tougher since it expects you to have at least one other person with you)
only exception is trials since those require 4 people
i dont think theres a "best class" unless its based on what you want to do
dragonknight is the meta tank class from what i've heard but it can still dish out good damage if you build for it
everything else is pretty okay at damage though nightblades are great at it but they lack AoE
sorcerers are the best at magic damage from what i've heard
dunno about wardens and necromancers
templars are the best at healing from what i've heard though sorcerers can heal too
also everything is scaled to you like you're playing skyrim so you wont get assblasted by a level 43 fire atronach if you go to a particular zone or something, it'll just be your level and quests will scale up to you if you dont finish them immediately
>t. sub 100 hourlet
>Fake Orc bitches looking like thot cosplayers
You can travel around kicking ass solo. You can do the vast majority of quests and the main questline solo. World bosses and world event stuff is meant to be done with a bunch of people, but those are obvious.
For dungeons you can go to them solo, you can talk to players in town to get them to join you, or you can be placed in a group automatically with the dungeon finder.
I don't know which class is the best. I haven't played necromancer or warden. Stamina and magicka variants of each class are like classes in and of themselves. Magicka characters will heavily rely on class abilities and have more role versatility. Stamina characters will enhance themselves with a few class abilities and do huge DPS with their weapons skills, but play more alike because they use the same weapon skills regardless of class.
