She dominated early on in the game and became absolutely shite not too long after the timeskip for me. The bow focused units in general seem to be shit outside of Claude.

I'm stuck and I hate that because I really love the game.

I'm on chapter 18 Black Eagle Church route and there's this mission where your party splits up, north and south, where you have to kill the Death Knight and Hubert. The problems are that artillery is nuking 50% of my healer's health (I only have 2 healers so one for each path), together with the reinforcements first coming in from north and then the south, consisting of two pegasi riders and a winged demonic beast.

My healers are underlevelled as fuck, around 30 when the rest are around 40. Halp me! I'm playing on hard, but I don't want to go down to normal because the game has been a breeze before this concrete wall.

How the fuck do you have underleveled healers when the game gives you heal spell that refill every battle?
There is no reason not to heal every bit of minor damage for big levels.

Pretty easy to do it. Regardless of what philosophy of Fire Emblem meta you subscribe to she fulfills criteria of

>does what she needs to extremely well to the point she's one of if not the functional best in her niche

Catherine is best unless you're just doing a route that doesn't let you get Catherine. You can do Leonie if you still want to pair with a girl and if you've managed to recruit both of them.

Catherine support spoiler: She outright suggests they get married in their A+ rank. It comes off as Shamir making a joke, but not really.

That's what I've been trying, but healing doesn't seem to give anywhere near as much exp as fighting. Also, when I got flayn she was already behind quite much, she was like level 23 or so when the rest were around 30.

Yeah there's a priority system people are still trying to figure out. This is probably why Byleth has the S-support system exclusive to themselves and can override that priority system, so the player doesn't have Chrom swoop in and impregnate their waifus at the last second.

What is the best FE to start?

FE7 is a really solid start. You can also just go play 3H if you want, it doesn't really matter.

Awakening and Birthright are the best FE games.
