Aigis is easily the worst character in P3.
>I hate how she comes halfway through the game and becomes the second most important character.

The only problem with her character is the last point you listed and even then she wasn't trying to "look for her soul", it was the rest of SEES trying to do that for her while she couldn't understand what they were trying to accomplish. She only "found her soul" by accident when Makoto was dying in her arms.
