Aeris

Slum drunk

Says Aerith in all the trailers.

Consensus is that it's Aeris when dealing specifically with the 1997 original, and Aerith literally anywhere else.

Aeris

>The first part of Remake will cover the game's opening events in the city of Midgar over two Blu-ray discs. Versions include a standard edition, Deluxe, and Digital Deluxe edition featuring an artbook and soundtrack. The 1st Class Edition will include a figurine of Cloud riding his motorcycle. All editions will feature a new summon for the game.
>2 discs just for the first 4 hours of the original

How much of that will be actual game and how much of it will be bloated cutscenes trying to tie the compilation shit to the game?

it's whatever you want it to be
so long as you have the money

So it's Aeris, but you can say "Aerith" for a goofy joke.

Aerith.
It's supposed to be a twist on the word "Earth".

no

>flower girl at night on the streets of midgar
>can somehow afford a house next to a goddamn waterfall

Flowers aren't the only thing she's selling

She has a complete monopoly on the flower market in the entirety of Midgar. Every plant you see in Midgar has been bought from her.

Aerith.

it's slum drunk

When I was younger I always assumed Aerith and Elmyra lived on top of one of Shinra's water tanks. Possibly filled with coolants. They would leak because Shinra had forgotten them somewhere amidst the misplaced paperwork.

But looking at the picture later there's definitely rock formations at the back as well, so it was a straight up waterfall. It's kinda disappointing and much harder to explain in-universe.

obviously

Especially because it's literally next to tin shacks in the slums. I wonder how the remake will handle that

The last time they said they're adding a river. We'll see.

*unless you're a Zoomer or live in the eastern hemisphere.

They should have just left it as Aeris. I'm 42 so I remember this shit. Even back in the late 90s, cringeworthy weebs called her Aerith and objected to America's localization. This was, of course, a time when weebs were genuinely cringy and not just anime tiddy connoisseurs. But, my point is, 99% of America knew her as Aeris. Do you realize how many copies of that game sold? You can't just take that back.

At the very least, they should make it an option in the configuration. I don't care if they have to record a few lines twice. It just looks fucking weird to us people that spent 500+ hours in the American FFVII universe.

It's a stretch, but maybe its just a natural rock formation and one of the rare places its actually exposed.

There's that mothefucking wall with impossibly high up graffiti on it you climb at one point. Perhaps the original hills are concealed behind shit like this and general fevelan antics? Though I won't deny its somewhat clear Aerwhatever is supposed to be implied she has some natural innate "grass grows where she walks" given the flowers at church and her hoeme.

Are they gonna try to put in Crisis Core stuff are just keep it to the FF7 timeline?

aeris

Why are you trying to protect the sanctity of VII when there already Watchmen of Fate?

>You can't just take that back.
Actually they can because a lot of people will also remember her as Aerith thanks to Kingdom Hearts, and to a lesser extent, Crisis Core.
