I just bought Fire Emblem awakening because I loved Three Houses so much and it was my first FE game.
We all know what I'm going to ask. What am I in for?

If you're playing a male avatar make sure you don't S rank your waifu until later in the game. You also want Chrom to build support with them for extra story kind of like the Soren Ike supports, not that you'd know if these are the only games you've played.
If you're female it's the same. The general idea is make Chrom the third wheel between you and whoever you plan to marry but do not marry until a certain part of the game. You'll know when it's safe.
>make sure you don't S rank your waifu until later in the game
How much later in the game? Not OP but I want to dick Chrom's daughter.
You don't have to worry then. Holding off on marriage is only needed for some characters but to make it simple I just said don't marry at all. You can marry his daughter asap.
You're in for light novel-tier self-insert garbage.
also the MC can solo the game very easily
going from 3H to awakening would be a disappointing experience probably.
You're in for a terrible game with atrocious story, maps and characters
He was trying to make Chrom cuck you at the timeskip, but you foiled him by being a Lucinafag.
a step down from 3H in all ways except graphics, they are about even on that point. less time wasting boring activities too
kek
A shame. I'd love to have been tricked by user. I miss the old days of rageposting here.
whatever that thing is i wanna fuck it
If you replay it a few times, you're in for mad eugenics where you start pairing people up for OP second generation units. Like marrying Cordelia for Galeforce Morgan, or Aversa for Dark Flier Morgan.
Oh yeah, with the late-game side maps, you can end up getting almost every noteable character in the game on your team. Unfortunately, a lot of late units can only support with the main unit.
If you really want to crush the game, make your main unit a Dark Knight and watch him become an unstoppable nuke on a horse.
Gregor is greatest lad.
A piece of shit, play a better game instead
shadow dragon is fucking great, much better than echoes
This. There's some unique dialogue that helps the story. I missed it first playthrough
being a bit less awful than the worst game in the series is not an accomplishement
I want to fuck this face.
Best girl
It's shit.
Emulate PoR on dolphin.
What's wrong with Thracia?
>Echoes
I had no idea this even existed. I dropped Awakening half way through and stopped paying attention to the series. Only knew Fates existed because of Smash Bros.
Echoes is kinda odd. It has absolutely god tier presentation. The art, graphics, music, dialogue, all of that is stellar. The actual gameplay is the least interesting part of it. But you can get through all of that quick once you find a Levin Sword, since there's no durability in this game.
Basically what Three Houses builds off of in regards to gameplay mechanics.
It is D-Day for Fire Emblem's renaissance but it also means a lot of mechanics which hadn't been seen in action for decades or were literally introduced aren't exactly tightly balanced, like pair up which becomes split into stances and later becomes the adjutant you see in Three Houses, as well as reclassing(functional restrictions on what classes each character can access, passively enforced in 3H by a skill check) and the slotted skill systems. The support system also is made manifest in Awakening, what with far less obtuse about what the supports are affecting, and also telling you when you're getting points/not getting points anymore.
Still I think it's worth playing. It's an easygoing good time, not too serious or overdrawn. Before Three Houses it was probably the Fire Emblem I spent the most time.

So user will be playing a Japanese video game? Got it.
