Thats literally ALL you need to know to understand 90% of the series and with that you can start anywhere.
If you are a faggot and dont start series from the beginning then the best is just to watch Fate/Zero and see if you want more of what you see.

No there's not. There's 2 VNs, the original and a fandisc. Then there's a bunch of spinoffs that don't matter at all and that are usually self contained and aren't really part of the same thing. At this point there's a difference between "Fate" and "F/SN". You could count Hollow Ataraxia, Carnival Phantasm and Zero as being part of the same series as F/SN but everything else is just separate and you might as well not even think about them if you're trying to get into F/SN. There's no need to get into "Fate" as a whole because most of it is garbage, just play the mobage or something if all you care about is the servant bullshit.
