If I want to buy an old game, let's stay Might & Magic 7 - it's not on Steam, but it is on GOG, along with other M&M games, good HoMM games, Evil Islands, etc. So I buy it there. By that point, I frequent two stores. As a pure store, Steam is generally better than GOG so if the game is present on both stores I generally go with Steam but for "good old games" GOG tends to be a better option.

gog is nice but not every dev goes drm free, so then its down to the other ones to get vidya. also you're not really supporting anything since many old game devs are no longer around and ips have long since changed hands, if they're even still active. what you're really paying for with gog is no stupid client bullshit and the minor convenience of having dosbox or a fan patch already in the game for you if you're too brainlet to apply them yourself.
