No bloat. Just your memory card and game. The focus of the console was the games.
Sixth gen came around and tried to make consoles into multimedia hubs, they focus less on the games and look at where we’re at now.

my only gripe with the blades is that there is a slight delay when switching blades. it isn't an instantaneous switch and i think they wanted to sync the audio and the animation.

PS4 was going to be online only with a UI centered around it like the XBONE but they saw the backlash Microsoft got, so they scrapped the idea and threw together the current UI to say “look guise you can play our console offfline”

they should have never killed miiverse. it was truly a fun experience, cringey and childish too, but it added to the overall charm.

The switch home feels so lonely without music. I wish nintendo continued the trend the wii started instead of trying to be all serious. Favorite ui is probably the psp though. Nice and clean while still having useful functions. The wii would be a close second if you could navigate it without double a batteries.
