they cute
Hit The Road > Season 1 > Season 3 > Season 2
I think they're never gonna get another game!
having played HtR recently, I'm contemplating on buying a Max plushy
THEY'RE GRRRRRRRRRRREAT!
hit the road is one of my favorite games of all time
still haven't played through the telltale series though
You crack me up, little buddy.
>that one time sam told max to shut the fuck up and off himself
jesus christ sam calm down, how did telltale get away with this?
Yeah that Hard Boiled sam bit kinda overstayed it welcome for me (mostly because I couldn't figure out the puzzle)

I want it so FUCKING BAD
>Steve Purcell works at Pixar
>he said that, while hes thought about making a Pixar short for Sam & Max as an idea, their sense of humor isnt meant for the young audience Pixar normally panders towards
Yet they literally made youtube.com
The fact that we live in a world where a Sam & Max Pixar short is a POSSIBILITY. Purcell works there because destiny wants this.
Season 2 is miles better than 3. They tried to innovate way too much and introduced too many mechanics, 2 perfected the formula they made with 1. The writing was 10/10 and that's the most important thing in a comedy point & click
HtR is amazing but I wouldn't categorize it with the Telltale games.
I can see a Sam and max short from Pixar, but I can see Disney saying no because compared to this, Sam and max have a more adult humor, like the picking up the soap joke in pic related
>Amazing comic
>Amazing games
>Amazing TV show
How much more based can you get?
While they are not as good, they still retain let's say 75% of the charm of HtR. It is worth it if you love HtR, really the awkward at times 3d is the main downside and some of the jokes fall flat at times.
I remember that. There was a joke that went along the lines of
>Wow, a prison shower! If these walls could talk.
>I'd think it'd be better if they kept their mouths shut.
Also the short I posted was an example of them being able to successfully integrate adult comedy while still being able to be understood by kids.
i've only played Hit the Road, what other games did they get?
3 from Telltale in the same vein, but not quite as good, though still good enough
i think i got one of the three from a bundle years back
Telltale made the rest of their games. It was actually good Telltale, even before they made the first season of Walking Dead.
They do a great job with the writing and jokes but it isn't 100% perfect
What's with the resurgence of Sam & Max, just preordered these
The cartoon hod saome godly dialogue lines.
>I Think theyre scarred for life!
>Then our work here is done.
Damn right that Hit The Road is the best, but I would rank the seasons 2>1>3. I found 3 really dull honestly and the controls were just awful. 1 was pretty boring but I was so happy to have more sam and max that I didn't really care, but I thought 2 was a genuinely fun storyline with a lot more variety than season 1.
They're entertaining. I wish they'd get another game, show, or comic.
Do i have to play in order?
I've got this. He's buried underneath a bunch of dirty clothes. There's action figures of them coming out - or already out - too.
Now that telltales dead now what?
They didn’t even own the rights to the characters. The original creator of the comics trusted the devs and let them have full access of the characters because telltale was founded by old Lucasarts employees that made hit the road.
yes
The cartoon had a fucking elaborate parody of Apocalypse Now of all things. The cartoon may be weaker than Hit The Road and the comics but it's still great.
>grab me by the ears, Sam!
>you are aware there are children watching?
>just do it!
speaking of which the big 3 cartoons of that era for me: Freakazoid, Earthworm Jim, Sam & Max
Why would you tell me about this, now I'm sorely tempted to get that max figure
I like the hat
Oh yeah, and The Tick
Steve just works at Pixar now. There's always the point I made earlier Sam & Max was very similar to Warner Bros show humor.
I had one but I traded it away years ago. I didn't really get the full value of it, but it's not like you're gonna get rich off fuckin TF2 items anyway, and jackasses kept hassling me to trade it.
>Ahh, the waterways, the artery of life
>Unless you squeal on the mob
>Yeah, that too
I feel safe at night sleeping with my homicidal rabbity thing at my bedside.
You crack me up, little buddy
I still have an original Max Head, bill hat, and earbuds. How do I cash out?
Hell if I know, I traded my Max Head in 2010 and dropped the game about a month later because F2P destroyed all my favorite servers and ruined the community.
