I picked up Crosscode because some people were talking about it in a indie game thread, no regrets, it was a nice game to go through with no bullshit.

I also played Project Warlock, which was also enjoyable, but I felt it got too easy in the end and the bosses aside from the first one were pretty lackluster.

I'm not sure if it qualifies but maybe Stronghold?

Endless Legend was okay but I just didn't really enjoy the combat.

Absolutely, it's a blast, I usually don't like platformers, but it's primarily a roguelite where you fight cool looking mobs with a great OST.
You'll go around nice looking levels, unlocking characters and items for the next runs.
There's local coop and multiplayer coop too if you want to bring a friend or three.

You should go for ion fury user, it comes out tomorrow and it's hella fun!
