So this...is the power of Dark Souls 3 gameplay

Pontiff isn't evil. He's corrupted like every other Souls boss.

>Antagonist is evil because...he's evil
>"WAAAAAH WAAAAAH WHERE IS MY SYMPATHETIC BAD GUY :((("
>"BUT HIS WHAT ARE HIS MOTIVES??? I NEED TO SYMPATHIZE WITH THEM!"
No, fuck you. I'm tired of this garbage. All media feels like they need to do this now.

he wasn't evil tho

I wonder how big his dick is

its a fucking toy dude chill

>this lanklet was almost the final boss

Too bad the average dark souls player wouldn't even know who he is lore wise

FUCKING BAAAAASED

DS2 wishes it had hitboxes like this

>figured out Gwyn was a power-fantasy addicted cuck
>dab'd on a race of literal giant retards
>convinved a crippled twink to reject the only reason for his existence and to become a shut-in neet
>fed a trap god to a guy cosplaying as 1958's "The Blob" just to see what would happen
>created multiple pleb-filter dogs
>world record long jump from a stationary position holder
>gave dancer a fat ass
Seems pretty based to me. Bravo indeed, Miyazaki.

He was supposed to be called "The Old Dark King" or something like that when he was the final boss

Most players who look a bit into the lore will have a good idea who he is

He's evil because he's power hungry and used his position to manipulate people while pretending to serve the gods (the last of whom he actually held captive,) worked to undermine the secular rulership of his city by turning its warriors and scion into monsters under his control, and pursued the power of the Abyss and the Profaned Flame purely to increase his own power and lifespan. There's plenty the Pontiff did, they just don't rub your face in it.

Wonder if he'd still have the same backstory, where he's just a power hungry asshole who ruined things for everyone. In that way he'd resemble Alant from Demon's more than a Dark Soul's final boss.

he was just gay for aldrich

Sulyvahn was acting out because he didn't want to just be some apathetic shit head who sits in one place for 10 000 years like the most of the people in the souls universe.

Probably not. He was supposed to be some sort of dark lord as were the other lords of cinder in the game. He also probably had nothing to do with Anor Londo originally as you fought him in the untended graves after ringing the bell on top of firelink shrine.

I will forever be mad we didn't get the original dark souls 3.

>the past
>that fuckhuge sun
>that supernova sun
>all those dragon-like creatures
I'm so sad bros.

The story probably would have made more sense as well. It's clear some story elements were slapped on late in development and don't make a lot of sense

>He's evil
That's somewhat unique on souls series. Most bosses are just corrupted, trying to survive, defending something or become crazy at some point. Also, he actually won, he became a ruler without going crazy or dumb and his influence is still prevalent even after you kill it

What'll make even less sense is people trying to use this stuff in lore arguments despite it being abandoned.

She should have just played PVP if he was bored
