Dragon Quest XI or Nino Kuni 2?
Dragon Quest XI or Nino Kuni 2?

Was nino kuni 2 better then 1? i dropped that half way
Dragon quest easily, but I wouldn't skip ni no Kuni either.
Both are terrible.
Haven't played Ni no Kuni 2. But I did play NNK 1. And the game was literally Dragon Quest VIII with all the good stuff removed. So just imagine what NNK 2 is. My suggestion is play Dragon Quest VIII and XI.
I liked Nino Kuni more
I bet you have a bunch of Fortnite wins, huh? I can tell you're an Epic gamer!
Play Oninaki
DQ XI is VIII but worse, Ni No Cunny is only good for Ghibli fanboys but 2 is slightly better than the first game.
They are both equally shit.
DQ but neither are that good
Odin Sphere Leifthrasir
I'm 8 hours into NnK2 and beat DQXI in about 85
DQXI was good overall but was very repetitive with bad music. super nostalgic tho
NnK2 already seems more diverse and the devs seem more respectful of your time
dragon quest if you want to fall asleep
Dragon Quest is more popular. So it sucks. Ni no Kuni because it's less known.
Dragon Quest XI.
But Ni No Kuni is good too.
Ni no Kuni is an insult of a game. It's so easy the first thing people did with cheat engine is increase the difficulty.
I actually hate Fortnite, Overwatch, PUBG, etc. Only online multiplayer games I like are 2D fighters and Korean MMOs. JRGs are my bread and butter so it says a lot when even I find these games to be shit. And yes, I actually played both for at least 15 hours each. You want a good cheap JRPG for PS4/PC go get fucking Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. I cant stand how most modern day JRPGs sacrifice gameplay and try to compensate with emphasis on shitty storytelling and archetypical cardboard cutout characters. This is one of the main reasons I will never understand how a gamer can prefer Xenoblade 2 to the vastly superior Xenoblade X.
While I prefer Dragon Quest XI, the major complaint with that game is also that it's too easy. But it has a built in hard mode if people want to turn it on. Since most people haven't played a DQ game, they can't handle the hard mode and actually need the easier mode. But if you're a veteran of the series, DQXI is the easiest game in the series by far.
ni no kuni 2 is awful and dqxi is good.
It's easy until you get to a certain point in the post game and realize you are 30 levels too low and can't farm metal slimes reliably.
nobody will remember you or your blog after this thread
Unironically, Ni no Kuni 1 for DS.
both have trash fucking COR BLIMEY localizations by euro subhumans. skip.
I liked it better, also dropped 1 but finished 2
I'm gonna get both
Dragon Quest is a good game
NNK2 is genuinely the worst RPG I've played in years. Some of the most abysmal writing ever, plot holes almost nonstop. Combat with the same 4-5 enemies repeated the entire game and the most meaningless city building microgame ever. It's completely lacking in every regard.
It's a real easy platinum though
How much of a grind do DQ games expect you to do to be on par with story encounters?
I tried to keep my grind to a minimal and the game was average difficulty, right up until the arena and the boss tunnels after, that was fucking rough.
You don't have to grind in any DQ game after DQ2. Anyone who says otherwise are idiots who don't use skills and equipment properly. Probably just spam attack and heal every battle, then get frustrated when it doesn't work. When it comes to Dragon Quest XI, it's the most linear DQ game. And you actually become overleveled if you fight everything you encounter.
Seriously within the first couple hours you decide you need to find someone who can handle the kingdoms finances. You settle on a old man who has a gambling addiction who literally had to sell his forest because he couldn't stop betting until his landmasses were being taken from him.
There's no moment of self reflection for this character- and the first thing he does after you bail him out is laugh and guffaw about how he can't wait to gamble. He's then written out of the plot for the entire rest of the game so everything you did was pointless.
It's a game where you play as the stupidest fucking protag in the world and the only good part is that the president of the united states pulls a gun on a fantasy guard with a spear and just shoots the fucker.
That's wrong on so many levels, all the DQ with job systems require grinding.
No they don't. You can play all of DQIII, VI or VII without grinding. That is, stopping to level to beat an enemy too strong for you. The only exception would be the very beginning of the game when you're level 1. You need to level a couple levels to survive. Which is the same for almost any JRPG.
I will remember it, he's right. I will screen it and post it around too, but that's just to spite you
Ni no Kuni II on Expert difficulty. The first one was still better though.
