Basically the whole game is a spork that was over advertised to hell and back which is the only reason it has a playerbase.
Furthermore its world design is overly kitsch and uninteresting. It was made for people of common tastes; the kind of drone that goes to see super hero movies with ads plastered on billboards because they don't know what else to see and don't want to do something too daring.

Gunplay feels very weak overall and the game feels more like a MOBA than an actual shooter at times. I also feel like they encourage you to get loot boxes and ranks rather than actual enjoyment from the game.

I remember I used to try and argue that Overwatch style games should replace fighting games as the go to genre for games made from creative properties. Ultimate and cool down abilities are perfect for giving a character their moveset, and the game also has character specific flare like animations after the match ends or start of the match dialogue and such.

Real talk? Why the hell is everyone either abysmally OP or super under powered?
Like, Moira and Baptiste can literally out heal anything a backline fighter like Genji can do.
Sigma can absorb bullets and has a giant fuck huge rock that blocks your screen, absorbs damage, and stuns you for like 5 seconds.
And every new character is either a Tank or has a shield, which makes fights boring as sin and slow as fuck to get going.
Plus, since everyone has a huge shield team fights are giant clusterfucks.

Why did Blizzard have to murder this game so hard? It was fun for like the first 2 years it was out, and now it's just a mess.

Movement isn't fun. The weapons aren't fun, and if they are they tend to get nerfed. There are like 40 characters and all of them feel like 1/3th of an actual design. Maps are notoriously terrible. There are only so many ways to play the game. The most popular way to play the game is competitive faggotry where everyone is a meta-worshiping passive aggressive autist. Policing in-game chatter like and overprotective mom. Blizzard is reprehensible. New content is largely limited to ugly skins.

what killed it for me was when they started removing techniques people found out because i guess they don't want any characters to have "hidden skill" or some type of shit. Stuff like being able to do the Genji ledgeboost was really cool and unique and took some effort to learn (not much admittedly but it was THERE). Blizzard just wants the game to be as sterile as possible and not allow any real innovation.

Tracer probably not for a while, Mei I am pretty sure they are avoiding at all costs because they would have to make her truly fat to please the usual crowd, Ashe is a good pick, Pharah would be great but it would alter her silhouette a lot and they still try to preserve those, Zarya and Tracer have a summer skin so not for a while.

I HATE the new queue system. I can't play every character well. What if I want to play a certain tank but the map or team needs me to pick one I'm not comfortable with. Normally I'd be able to back off being a tank and let someone else fill the role, but now I'm gonna disappoint my team.
