Not disagreeing with you, but why would he even want to overthrow Xemnas anyway? They had Roxas in the fold, so it's not like he had some sick plan to accomplish the false objective of the Organization (Making Kingdom Hearts to get their own hearts) that they couldn't attempt with Xemnas in the way. Menial tasks are already relegated to the Dusks and Demyx, so it's not like his hair will get messed up.
I don't think he really knew about the hidden objective either since the longest term members didn't know either, aside from possibly Xigbar who was totally into getting norted.
Did he really just want to sit in the big chair? While I admit, it's a pretty sweet looking chair, I don't think it was worth an attempt at mutiny.

I don't like how dumb Ven is, but him having a genuine nemesis who's really fun makes him alright. Roxas is best by his own merits.
