I doubt it. Their MO from day one has been to systematically eradicate anything they ""disapprove"" of. Blizzard is the biggest no fun allowed gaming company

God I hope they make a set for fist of the heavens or at least buff the legendaries for it. Its such a cool fucking abillity but its support from items is so weak compared to the other crusader skills.

PoE was ruined by reddit demanding rampant powercreep every single patch and GGG submitting.

Rolled Necro last season, inarius blood nova hits a wall at 90 and singularity mage is way to squishy, I didn't try thorns since I don't have 500 hours to waste. I don't have any build I want to try out. Som LoN ones seem a bit interesting but the time and gear investment isn't worth it.
Does anyone here actually play this game? There used to a /vg/ general but that's deader than dead even on season launches.

I thought patch 2.0.1 was supposed to have fixed everything.

I played Tragul Blood Mage in the RoRG Season. It was super fun to play at lower levels but really hit a wall too. I couldn't find a comfortable way to have both a mobility skill and a generator as a backup if I ran out of corpses (blood mages, consume, curse, skeleton and bone armor already took up the other slots).

Game needs a real endgame to slowly chew through rather than blitz runs

if you still want to play through the story just set it to the hardest difficulty you can handle and play through it with some bros

This season I chose WD and got really unlucky with gear, quit like a week into the season.
I will play S18 and see where it goes.

Cope harder, I have no problem finding parties to play with season and off season.

Toughness doesn't matter, dps doesn't matter. Damage values are so inflated that it's the multipliers on your set that determine everything. If you choose a build it's solved for you. There's minimal variety compared to something like Poe but I feel the gameplay is more engaging in some ways.

The new gem that gives you the Litany of the Undaunted bonus is an excellent move on their part, considering how overtuned set bonuses are.

Its not a bad game but its just inferior. D2 did so much better and PoE (used to) have so much more depth than D3. After getting to high rifts, you kinda just feel a hault in actual progression and youre stuck with extremely small progression milestones (yay I beat GR 110 now onto the same thing just a miniscule amount more difficult).
Wish there was more customization of builds and not everything be a BiS grind.

Is that HARD adding Offline?

Probably not hard at all, they just want the game to be unpirateable. Probably didn't want dataminers and hackers around since auction house was a real money thing too.

Wiz does the same thing for the umpteenth time in a row plowing through content. DH, sader and necro have nothing new. I might try Zuni DoD WD and transition to LoN since that's the only WD build I haven't played.

I hope they introduce the new sets next season otherwise it's betond stale. New content other than rifts, something like Poe's delve or some incentive to grift other than to increase a number would be nice but that's just wishful thinking at this point.

The itemization is complete dogshit, everything relies on braindead OP set bonuses, there's no opportunity for creativity, also rifts get old REALLY quick, at least with POE you have a massive amount of different areas you can grind in with different scenery, in diablo 3 its the same old shit over and over.

I played the demo and thought it was okay

Played Impale DH last season after taking a break for years. It was a lot of fun but I don't think I'll be playing this season, I played a shitload last season and solo pushed to GR 110 or so without abusing the passive LON buff.

It's okay, I'd say the story mode is probably less fun than the torchlight games but if you're into grinding gear and shit it's better.

It's more fun without friends than with friends. The power gaps between players makes POE look balanced.
The game is a 6/10 at best though.

It's actually better to power level before playing the campaign since the first reward for clearing bosses and levels is way higher than subsequent runs.
Start on Hell and then do the challenges and you will get to 50 easy in the same day.

Biggest disappointment in gaming. I wish they hadn't even bothered to make it.

I tried Poe for the first time during Legion. It is true that the game has way more content compared to diablo to the point where it overwhelms a new player.
People kept telling me that there's more build diversity and while this is technically true with the way gems work, everything is pretty much solved to the point where like 60% of builds used cyclone. Also pretty much everything revolved around a single skill and those skills were really boring thematically. While levelling I used cleave and dual strike, I didn't find a single skill that I hadn't seen somewhere else or something that I found implemented in an interesting way, maybe the casters are better.
If I have to give the game something is how visually clear it is, half the time I can't see where my character is in d3.

PoE is shit. You have to have meta knowledge of the game to make a solid build and you don't even get to play that build until level 80+ and hours of playing.
Diablo 2 is still the best almost 20 years later.
