So, to people that already own Persona 5, are you going to buy it? Why?
So, to people that already own Persona 5, are you going to buy it? Why?
Fuck no. Who buys a fucking few dozen hour rpg just to have it be completely obsolete and non-canon for another fucking $60 release of the same fucking game.
Fuck this horse shit.
Because it's a good game and I need more scenes with my waifu Haru
Hell yes. New content, improvements to the old content, including both gameplay changes and animated scenes. Nyarly.
Not on day one, but if I hear that it adds/changes enough about the game, then sure. I loved the original so I'm receptive.
I didn't like it when I pirated it, this only looks worse.
nope. will just watch the new content on youtube just like how I did for golden.
Yes because it seems to be improving on aspects I found lacking in the original and has enough content to make it a worthwhile purchase.
Also helps me wait for SMTV.
>spoiler
Don't do this to me, man. Don't give me hope.
Nope. I don't have a PS4 and I'm not going to buy an entirely new console for a game I already played. Even if I buy a PS5 and it gets backwards compatibility, by the time that console comes out I'll already be spoiled on all the new shit
For sure, day 1. The game is fucking awesome and I want more of it right now.
Because I was planning on replaying it anyway and I have money I have enough money to comfortably waste on gamed
>SMTV
Because it has a shit ton of new content, looks like at least double what P4G added. And I'm a little miffed the original release felt so incomplete.
Yes. the additional content. and after 3 years since the original an additional playthrough will be welcome
Yes. I've disliked the game, but its general gameplay loop is still pretty enjoyable and I like the changes they've made.
No, why would I buy the same game twice?
No, because the base game was shit and by far the worst Persona game of all time. Thankfully, Hashino is leaving the franchise after this shitshow and I couldn't be happier.
>few dozen
No, I'm not buying a downgrade to a game I already own.
>double what P4G added
You retarded? This is significantly less.
The fact that there's two new dungeons alone plus reworking the old ones means you're not just wrong, you're stupid.
It always turns out that people sperging about P5R don’t know shit about it or previous atlus re-releases.
Yes and why not?
Yeah I'm avoiding the spoilers pretty easily, despite atlus trying to shove them down my fucking throat.
I will stop coming to Yea Forums all together from JP launch until WW launch (seriously atlus why) because I know dekirus are dying to spoil the shit out of the game.
Yeah, it looks like it'll add in a bunch of content and retool the dungeons. Plus changes to some of the social links.
>no Mishima or arcade shota romance option
D R O P P E D
Looks like Ohya
No. I already played enough of P5 and liked it decently, but not enough to play it again. Plus these days I like to avoid ps platforms generally because of their guidelines.
Ohya's hair is straight.
Probably, I suspect it will be coming out during what will otherwise be a drought of games for me so even if I've already played 80% of the content it'll still be worth it. Also Kasumi actually has me intrigued.
I'm legitimately thinking of doing this as well
I'll probably just stick with reddit in the meantime
I would have bought if it came out for switch but to play it AGAIN on ps4 sounds like torture. Maybe when the price drops and a few years since i've played it has passed.
I think it says something that Ohya, who I'd reluctantly agree is probably the worst waifu of the bunch, is still a solid pick.
There is a whole new chapters added in, 2 whole months, new dungeons, new social links, at least 40-50 hours of new content.
People buy WoW addons/Fifa/Cod every year this game gives more content
yes, the game is a few dozen hours.... do summer fags know what green text is for?
Ehh I'll just keep going to fighting game gens on /vg/ and nothing more
Yeah, i don't have a physical copy and i loved the og game so why not?
It honestly feels like the PVs have spoiled so much, especially PV2, that it really doesn't matter if the game gets spoiled or not. It feels like all we're missing at this point is who the true villain behind it all is.
Haru, Hifumi, and Ann all still exist.
p4g was on a portable though HUGE plus, while also not being a full retail release it was more than satisfactory in value and content
This
Atlus always been doing this for years with all 4 Persona games, Devil Survivor 1 and 2, Strange Journey, Catherine along with game they published like Odin Sphere, Dragon Crown.
Hell I wouldn't be surprised if Atlus ask Nintendo to port Tokyo Mirage Sessions on Switch
I used to hang out in the Undertale general, but things got... weird after a while there
Nah I'd still rank those three above Ohya if I'm being honest
It's pretty much people who started with P5. P5R honestly seems to be their biggest expanded edition yet with the amount of stuff that they've shown off through streams and trailers.
Why though? They just barely have the personality of a cardboard cutout combined.
Probably if it goes on sale at like 80% off.
Want me to help you pick up a fighting game user? I can buy you guilty gear and teach you some good ass shit, the community is comfy too.
Yeah. Atlus is usually good when it comes to additional content in rereleases.
>put up my P5 copy on ebay for half price
>P5R announced
>welp no one's gonna buy my copy now
>someone actually bought it
Thanks to that, i'm gonna buy P5R now.
HA
So how long until she's hated and forgotten like Metis and Marie?
I'll just spoil myself about the amount of new content and the story, Loki and Kasumi might be fun to have in the party but the extra gameplay sections probably won't last very long and the rest will be 90% exposition anyway
Is this post ironic?
Why would you want the game on an underpowered gimmick machine that probably can’t even run it but suddenly not want it on the same system you already played it on?
He's a falseflagger
>probably can’t even run it
Are you trying to imply Persona 5 is some graphically intense game? Everything is cel shaded and most of the NPCs don't even have faces
yes, because the changes and additions they've made are significant enough to feel like a whole new experience. if all they did was add a couple hallways and call it a day like pokemon did with their "ultra changes," then i'd skip it, but there's been actual thought put into this.
also, it's starting to look like they might be bringing nyarly back, and i don't want to miss out on that.
Yes. People play more than one megaten game. Got a problem with that fag?
It's been some time since I last played persona. So, I'm ready for a new fresh start.
I'm sure Switch can run it since it's a PS3 game, but I don't understand why anyone would take a Switch version over the PS4 one. Loading times on Switch would surely be much longer and that's critical for a game as long as P5.
they updated all the graphics in p5r to run at 4k 60fps with better textures. the switch would melt trying to run it.
Heck yeah, honestly the thing that excited me the most was them retooling the dungeons. Also I'm hoping they add more scenes in with the cakes, plus a Sae romance
Obvious falseflag aside p5 is still a ps3 game.
Metis is literally who at this point, but Marie still shows up in spin-offs. I don't think Kasumi is going to disappear especially when you consider Atlus pushes merchandise and spin-offs even more now. Kasumi already has two figures announced before P5R is even out.
The changes are enough for the box price plus I wanted to do a second play through anyway. Also to make nintendo owners and goro haters mad.
>Loading times on Switch would surely be much longer
Eh chances are it would be a lot shorter.
>they updated all the graphics in p5r to run at 4k 60fps with better textures
They very clearly didn't given they didn't have enough time to remake those assets.
it's already been announced and confirmed months ago. cope.
The game does look far sharper now, I'm pretty sure everything is native 1080p. It's mentioned that the game has proper PS4 Pro support now, but that will probably just be the 1080p assets up-scaled to 4k and not true 4k.
Sure, but only when the price drops, certainly ain't coughing up 60$ for it.
Although I might avoid altogether if the content changes turn out terrible or simply aren't worth it.
>it's already been announced and confirmed months ago
Yeah sure, let's just ignore that P-Studio split and had to work on three games in the period between P5 and P5R.
Not to mention no source for a graphical update exists.
>are you going to buy it?
when it gets on sale.
I doubt the new content is worth a $60 purchase
I know Atlus are massive jews, but will it be possible to just purchase it as a DLC for the first game?
Owning this shit one time was a mistake.
Nope. It looks like they've remixed quite a bit of the game so they're not selling it as DLC or letting players import save data.
Despite the changes being slapped on at the end, no.
No, it's not even a "The Answer" situation where you can go straight up to the new story section since Kasumi is introduced very early on
>It looks like they've remixed quite a bit of the game
What? They confirmed a while back that the base game is going to be the same.
At this point, you might as well never buy Persona games when they first come out if Atlus is just going to release a superior version later
But they're even retooling the dungeons including Kamoshida's?
No, because I'm not paying 60 bucks to play a 80~hour long game again just for a few changes. That said, it looks really good and I wish Atlus the best results.
Not really. They're adding grappling skips but other than that they're the exact same.
it was literally one of the first details they announced about the game.
wccftech.com
The story is going to be the same, not the whole game.
Yeah fuck that, I'm not paying full price for the game again.
I'm talking in terms of gameplay. Palaces seem to have been redone in terms of enemies, bosses and level design since Joker can move around with a grappling hook now.
Dude, we already saw new puzzles in the spaceport and castle, what are you on?
>Not to mention no source for a graphical update exists.
>more obnoxious braindead puzzles
Atlus please no
Nope. I regret wasting a month on this game so no way in hell I'm buying it again for some extra content that should be DLC.
Nah, but I'll listen to the music. I ended up not really enjoying my time with it, and they're fixing a lot of my issues with the new content but I don't feel compelled to double dip.
I'll buy it cheap the day I get me a PS4, which will happen when it has at least 15 games I want.
>Moving goalposts
Cool, man
I haven't even finished the PS3 or PS4 version. Waste of time and money desu.
Not that guy, I'm just despairing about the idea of an even longer mouse section
It looks like they altered at least something about that shit with the fact that they showed off you can eat cheese from traps. I assume they heard all the complaints about that section and are going to do something about it.
No. Fool me once, shame on you. I won't get fooled again.
I liked the mouse sections, so personally I don't mind. Heck, originally they planned a mouse puzzle for Kamoshida's palace.
God I hated that dungeon.
I'm pretty sure that translation about the story being the exact same is facing a language barrier. Kasumi's existence, plus the PVs already show her interfering at the Casino, and Goro now having a manual confidant already change things. I think the idea is the main plot points will remain the same, but P5R might change how you get to those plot points slightly. I'm thinking post-casino might be when things start changing more drastically.
Yeah because I want to play it again, Kasumi is cute, and the rest of the new stuff looks cool too.
What they mean is that the story before the third semester will remain unchaged, everything about Kasumi and Goro's development will be added in the new section.
>eat cheese from mouse trap
That doesn't sound very helpful tbqh. I found these were the only fun puzzle sections in the game btw. I love how every mouse has their origianl's appearance and mannerisms.
>game
44 hours out of 90 still leaves a couple days' worth of gameplay.
nope, actually i feel deceived
>gameplay.
>he's reading High Society
Absolutely based.
>Autorushing a regular battle and not even showing the results
Wow how not compelling
>boards.fireden.net
It's legitimately sad that someone lets a game live in their head like this.
Also, suspiciously, this seems to have started right after Royal was confirmed for PS4. Hmm...
>No fucking shido, iwai or futaba's dad commu
>But you can fuck the cat, just once
Thank God I only watch the animu adaptation
Nope, fuck Fatlus kikes. I already dropped 200 hours, no way am i doing that again and buying a full price game just for some DLC.
If you support this shit kys.
Yeah, the fact he's not even showing anything after the first turn leads to many questions, like:
Is he using endgame armor on NG+
Does Joker has a Phys immunity persona equipped?
It's like he was trying to emulate this but miss the entire point
BING BING WAHOOOOO!
>left hand, battle during rush, and controller's light bar conveniently not shown
Try harder user
>get btfo
>instead of addressing it you gaslight like a kike shill
kys
I am curious about what has been with the growth of people that have to obsessively shitpost about a game.
You have the autist that will spend 12 hours samefagging a thread about CS, Bloodyroarfag who will spam any and every Tekken thread he can, the Japanese humour poster and a bunch of others that have occured.
>Nyarly
Is he actually back? I'll get it again just for him
>get btfo
user, quit being pathetic. Your parents are already disappointed enough.
I borrowed the game from a friend before they announced P5R, so I'll probably buy P5R
Imagine the smell in their rooms...
I've personally just never understood the mentality of people who do this kinda stuff. Like sure, I can understand occasionally falseflagging or pretending to be retarded for (you)s even though that's also dumb. But I don't understand the thought process behind shitposting for weeks or months on end. Those people must, without exaggeration, think about shitposting all the time then, right? Just seems like such a monumental waste of time when you could be playing games
Just because they used to fuck people in the ass back then doesn't mean they should be off the hook for it now.
Only hints so far are
>Biyarkys in the new dungeon
>weird blue tentacles appearing in Memementos
Ohya's hair is gay!
I mean, just by reading some of the threads, one could see that the majority on this board barely plays anything but the latest AAA shit.
>all he can do is gaslight
I take it you have no actual counter for the point made then.
I accept your defeat.
You're gay.
No
TAKE OVER IT'S TIME TO BRING YOU DOWN!
>all he can do is gaslight
I directly addressed the meat of the post right away, and you're still pathetic. Keep obsessing about this game for months to come.
This. I probably won’t even have access to my PS4 when it drops so I won’t be tempted, either. Atlus has already spoiled so much (a necessary evil to get people interested) I might end up making a decision when there’s a change log floating around and I can get it used cheap.
>game
You even proved it has gameplay user, of course it's a game
Have they confirmed of I can romance Ryuji yet? If not no, I already played it once
YOU'LL NEVER SEE IT COMING
i am not that cücked to pay again full price and get only 15-20 hours
No, only the Shinjuku homos will ever claim Ryuji's boypussy and Akechi is going to hog all the homobait since his confidant is not automatic anymore
Wasn’t there also a rumor about Patrick Seitz ”recording lines?” I highly doubt it since it was a single unsourced Yea Forums post months ago and I should know better than to believe anything Anons say but I can’t help but wonder.
>are you going to buy it? Why?
No.
No shiho route.
As a PS3 owner....
>Biyarkys in the new dungeon
Hey that's pretty cool, I thought the Nyarly stuff was mostly just wishful thinking. Looks like there is actual evidence.
What, with your 44/90 post? Don't make me laugh. the actual "gameplay" (fighting) consists of about 20-30 hours of repetitive mindless menuing at most. Even spiderman has more gameplay and depth than this garbage, you putrid fatlus fanboy.
Go bathe and shave your neckbeard you disgusting neet.
Forget them, what about my Yusuke?
>gameplay is only gameplay if it's based on quick paced button mashing
>I'l show you, I'll keep obsessing about this game!
Actually seething
>game
Be honest. Are you just upset because you can't beat it?
yes but when it costs like $20
I bought P5 a month ago for $12. It has literally became my favorite game I played in 2019, but I am not paying $60 for the "new" version
>me push menu option to do dmg to their weakness
>repeat 1000 times
>me push menu option to gain confidant exp
>repeat 1000 times
>me play game
You should go to bed.
Yes. Because I love the world, activities, and characters in the game. I also want to see what more Atlus can do with previous stated.
Yes. You press buttons and these inputs cause effects within the game. Gameplay. You're learning!
>44 hours
Thats bullshit, theres like 3 hours of gameplay per palace
>gameplay
>game
>time management
>security level management
Whoa why are there two gameplay mechanics here?
>time management
>security level management
Not him but come on, son. We both know security level and the time limit mean jack unless you're a literal invalid.
>Nintendorks are STILL coping
Sad
>he maxed out all Social Links on his first playthrough with ease
O-okay. Guess I'm just an invalid then. Sorry.
After they realized people were trying to do it in 3 (which was never really intended to be possible) they've made it piss easy to do a full slink run.
No, I didnt really like persona 5 enough to buy the game again for extra content.
That's smart of you
Yes. Because I want to play the royale?
>play
Was this meme ever funny? How comes I've never seen anyone try this shit in a XBC2 or octopath traveler thread?
Don't worry, I was so busy reading books and watching the DVDs I rented that I ended up maxing only Ryuji, Ann, Tae and Sojiro
ehh, I'll pick it up when it's like $20-30.
By then, I'll have forgotten by original P5 play-through.
I liked the original game a lot and was thinking of replaying it soon.
If I can spice it up with new content then sure why not. That's about my only reasoning and like, it's cool if others just want to pop the OG game in and replay it instead.
The same people who complain about yearly Western releases will try to justify buying both P5 and P5R
haha yeah just like in ultimax right
Nincels are delusional hypocrites. They praise FE Three Houses like the second coming of god when half of the game is pressing A so the next text box appears.
Yeah. I bought the game on release, but when the royal got announced i just sold it and kept the limited edition. Will buy and kept the royal when it releases, it's the best version
I sold it after i beat it lmao
I'm still on the first palace, it's so tedious and draining, do the palaces get any better?
haven't payed persona 5 again in awhile and i been looking forward to play it again with even more content
Also i wan't more haru character development
More interactions with Kawakami?
Here’s my money!
>I'm still on the first palace, it's so tedious and draining, do the palaces get any better?
some do but some are worse than the first one
Based user exposing Shitlus
is there a reason why this isn't just dlc? dark souls 2 sotfs was dlc, dragon's dogma, mhwi, almost every recent fighting game, etc
No, I just want P5 Arena already with aged up P4 characters.
I don't want to keep playing Ultimax forever.
Casino is the best, the others are various levels of slog. Madarame's is kinda creative at least but pretty bland looking.
The first dungeon is pretty much the tutorial one and slogs along explaining things and handholding you. It stops dragging along after that and you can start clearing them in 1 day.
As for quality, it's a 50/50.
I played through it once and was burnt out towards the end, so no I won't be buying this.
I loved the original, but the main issues I had with it was how constrained some parts were (specifically leading up to new dungeons) and how many of the characters weren't fleshed out/didn't get time to shine in story bits (Haru being the biggest victim). From what it seems, this version is giving more time and focus on characters, refining systems that were dull (Mementos), and adding in more content to enjoy.
I like replaying games anyway. This just gives me the opportunity to replay it, but experience entirely new gameplay/story beats. It's a win win, so long as the new additions don't degrade what made the original good.
Atlus has a history doing this shit and Atlusfags buy their shit anyway.
Despite all of that, Atlus still isn't making profit.
play bbtag bro, 2.0 soon
Because it's a much major change than in those games. Original scenarios are remade and expanded on, plus there is a Lot added in between (it's not only a new trimester)
Yeah. It's my favorite aesthetically and the implications that the trailers are giving are wild. Its reminding me of the snow queen route in the first game and it's exciting.
I'll but it but I'm keeping my expectations low.
well so did capcom but they've joined modern times now with mh and sf, probably dmc soon
so it's not like golden was to vanilla 4 in terms of content? it didn't really change anything from what I remember, just added a bunch of stuff and fluff
no playable Hifumi = no buy
not mentioned in your image macro: divinity 1 and 2 are both overpriced garbage to begin with.
>half of the game is pressing A so the next text box appears.
Just like nuPersona.
yeah, atlus
>*buys pokemon red, blue and yellow*
fans
>*buys mega man battle network 3: blue and white*
are
>*buys fire emblem fates: birthright and conquest*
such
>*buys yo-kai watch blasters: red cat corps and white dog squad*
suckers!
>Persona 5 has shit gamepla-
According to the trailers so far it seems to be retooling the dungeons as well as some aspects of the overall story. Akechi isn't an automatic S-Link anyone for example
Dude that was his point
>divinity 1 and 2 are both overpriced garbage to begin with.
Cringe
>going to be in Tokyo for a few days in late October
Wonder if there's going to be any P5R events going on leading up to the Japanese release.
y
I'm going to buy it used in a couple of years.
wrpgs aren't even worth one cent, let alone $40.
It's in a weird situation where it's effectively a sequel but the content is probably not enough for a brand new game
Kasumi stole my heart otherwise I would've agreed with you
P5R pretty much sounds like P4G on steroids. It sounds like the new semester is going to be a full on playable semester while P4G just started jumping from events to events in January.
Said the VN shitter.
You're going to want to die if you get far enough along to reach the space station
Imagine being such a drone that you can’t understand the basic concept of development costs and somehow think an updated version of an old game is worth straight up 60 dollars just because it has a new waifu in it
Too much gameplay for you?
I went there about a week before smt4a came out and they had a pop-up store, got the OST and a few merch before the game even came out
just be on the lookout
>hasn't watched the trailers
>hasn't seen that the story is outright different
I only ever played on my old roommate's copy, and not very far in, so why not? Playing the full game with new content on top sounds perfect
I dont think I will because I basically have Persona combat solved.
Use Debilitate, use Matakakuja, use Marakukaja, voila youve beaten literally everything.
why do wrpgfags pretend like their "games" don't revolve around hours of reading reddit-tier text boxes?
while we're on the subject of divinity, larian also did their cash grabs on kickstarter in advance before the games came out. at least atlus doesn't ask for money until their games are finished.
I don't know. The new endgame that could be 20 to 30 hours makes it worth it to me.
was P4G's winter semester not fully playable? you could still increase stats, go to dungeons and social link from what I remember
Wow how did you do that on Kamoshida
Refer to
Divinity has ten times the gameplay depth of Persona.
Sell core Persona 5 and buy Royal. You should save about half of the game price.
Also, I don't buy it in the first place only because the game seems to have no finished game save state import option, so I wouldn't have to worry much about maxing stats and confidants I already know. I don't feel like playing from literal 0 again, even if there is some extra story, party member, level design and such.
>Posts cutscenes
>Calls it gameplay
Yikes
>Larian also did their cash grabs on kickstarter in advance before the games came out.
And because of that they're very successful and have 3 more projects in works, which are gonna come earlier than RE;Fantasy and SMTV and those were announced ages ago.
>hasn't played on anything past normal
Good luck on most bosses, they love throwing dekaja and dekunda for anything, and a lot more almighty.
I wasn't going to but if Nyarly is back, then I'm in.
Doesn't Atlus also have P5R, P5S and the fighting game in the works? Or do those not count for some reason
even wrpgfags admit that divinity is garbage, and they have low standards to begin with. they even call it "kiddinity" because there's so little depth. who are you trying to fool?
You can import data, it won't give you new game+ though, it does give you something but I'm not sure what
You really only got a extra 2 weeks of true free time and everything else was filled with story events and such. One of the marketing terms of P5R is experience the third semester and they did state that expansion is bigger than what Golden did so it'll probably be January and February as fully playable months.
Really? P4G didn't add nearly as much as what has currently been shown or announced.
>cash grabs are okay when the west does it!
what fighting game?
Is there a single other game that causes as much shitposting as Persona 5?
>switchfags shitpost against it because they didn't get the port they begged for
>console-war fags shitpost against it because it's a sony exclusive
>smashfags shitpost against it because joker got into their party game before geno/isaac/doomguy
>mainline-only fags shitpost against it because it's persona and they want attention
>p3 and p4 babbies shitpost against it because they're jealous that p5 got more mainstream attention than their games
>westaboos shitpost against it because it's a japanese game with an anime art style
>tortanicfags shitpost against it because it's a new game released this decade
>xenofags shitpost against it because of their made-up "rivalry" between p5 and xeno 2
>xv-kun shitposted against it because it was a more critically acclaimed jrpg than ffxv
>wrpg-kun shitposts against it because it's a jrpg
>acfag shitposts against it because it has a story and cutscenes
A turn the enemy spends using Dekaja or Dekunda is a turn spent not attacking, which is better than what the buffs would normally do.
Idiot.
Tarunda is fine too.
>P5S
Koei works on it.
>fighting game in the works?
Which one?
>Or do those not count for some reason
If they aren't made by Shitlus, they don't.
They're so fucking incompetent that they need all of their employees to finish a fucking dlc for p5.
Yes but only when it goes on sale for a price I think would be worth the additional cost of the extra content. I'm in no rush.
I remember doing this in Persona 4 when you got Trumpeteer which absorbs pretty much every attack, just activate rush and go afk.
gonna buy it but not at full price.
Liking P5 almost makes me feel like a troll at this point. How absolutely devilish.
probably when it goes on sale or something
does it include all the DLCs for vanilla? I wanted to grab the Raidou costume but it was kinda expensive from what I remember
meanwhile in reality, they aren't incompetent, it isn't dlc, and they don't have all of their employees working on it. p5r is a major rework of the original game with a different director.
>They're so fucking incompetent that they need all of their employees to finish a fucking dlc for p5.
Remember that Atlus is so incompetent that Persona 5, a simplistic menu-based rpg with virtually no interactivity or world simulation, had a bigger team size and a longer development time than sprawling triple-a open-world rpgs. And mind you, I don't even like Skyrim.
No wonder they keep announcing financial losses year after year:
personacentral.com
>Atlus Reports Net Loss of 904 Million Yen for Fiscal Year Ended March 2019
>Atlus reported a net loss of 686 million yen for Fiscal Year Ended March 2018,
>and net loss of 570 million for Fiscal Year Ended March 2017.
Game is so painfully easy that you don't even need to use buffs.
>p5r is a major rework
So a dlc?
worth playing thrpugh P5 again before P5R comes out in the west?
considering skyrim was yet another broken, jank-filled mess of a game from bethesda, maybe todd should stop being so cheap and hire more people.
name 3 DLCs for a game that heavily modified the base game
Sure, not like I have anything else to play on that dust gatherer called the PS4.
>I'm not sure what
Probably nothing relevant, all I want is having stats and confidants easy to max out so I won't have to look through up the guides to find out the best way to max them out on one run. And I don't want to play Royal twice either, I simply don't have that much time.
Nah, I'm holding off of playing NG+ on the original. Just going to wait till the Royal.
We should be getting the Western release date on Saturday so wait until then and then make that decision based on when it comes out.
I just hope they don't make maxing out a Persona stats such a pain this one. I spent so much time making an almighty trumpeter build, it'll suck if I had to do that again.
Lord of Destruction
Tribunal and Bloodmoon
Night of the Raven
:)
my original plan was to replay it not too long ago and then they announced the game. The wait is killing me but I guess it is better this way
sweet, hopefully a bit more news too but mystique is fine.
I wonder how the old DLC is going to work. Will it be in the base game, will it work with both versions if you have it, or do they expect people to buy it again?
Umm, yeah, these don't count...
It literally doesn’t matter what’s in it, the point is you’re being charged full price for a game that didn’t take anywhere near the same amount of money to develop and which could’ve been a downloadable expansion by all means. Only apologism makes this okay.
>According to Atlus, this is not an indication of deteriorating business, but it is due to the amortization of business rights with repayments taking place every fiscal period. This is because of the transfer from Index to Sega Dream (now Atlus), which took place in November 2013.
>Atlus states that their sales target for the previous fiscal year were pleasantly exceeded, and that the company greatly contributed to the performance of the Sega Sammy Group.
Good job being dishonest about this, faggot
JP solution is that you have to buy an activation pass for about 500 yen to get access to any old DLC that you own in P5R.
I can't believe an underclassmen wins again. Seniors really rarely win. Last winner that I've witnessed was from fucking Shuffle! and that was a decade or more ago.
>for a game that didn’t take anywhere near the same amount of money to develop
Source?
I see no reason I should take development costs into play, only how much enjoyment it's going to bring me for the price. If I would enjoy P5R for 80 hours, that's a better choice than a game developed "from scratch" that I'd enjoy for 10. Of course I wish it were a downloadable expansion but if I was trying to dodge money-grubbing tricks from video game devs, I'd be into birdwatching instead
>pay for the DLC and then pay more for it to actually work
Is this what it's like being an American and having to tip?
most, if not all, of these are glorified balance patches with a little bit of extra content that the publishers had the nerve to charge $30+ for. p5r is a total reimagining of the game.
Nah, the game's already long enough and it looks like serious story changes are made and usually these types of changes end up being for the worst.
Wow, what an absolute scumfuck move. Thanks Atlus.
>All those hours I spent exploiting the confuse cash drops on mementos bosses only to immediately spend everything in the velvet room on fusion autism
There better be some kind of save data carryover on Royal
Nope. You will get some kind of starting bonus, but you're starting over from scratch. The game has apparently been rebalanced so much that they want people to start over from zero instead of steamrolling it.
Or you could stop supporting shitty industry practices and try to communicate to Atlus that you’d rather have an actual sequel or even just a spinoff than an actual cashgrab.
>glorified balance patches
Two new character classes: the Assassin and the Druid.
A fifth act taking place in and around Mount Arreat in the northern Barbarian Highlands, with an additional act boss, Baal.
Many new items, including new weapons and new pieces of armor:
33 different Runes, which can be placed into sockets and provide different bonuses from gems.
Runewords are specific sequences of runes which grant a specific set of additional bonuses (similar to the preselected bonuses of unique quality items) when socketed into an appropriate item.
Hundreds of additional Horadric Cube recipes.
Crafted items are very similar to rare quality items but they cannot be found in chests or dropped by monsters. They can be created with the Horadric Cube and the right ingredients. They have 3-4 predetermined properties determined by the recipe and up to 4 additional randomly selected from the same pool as rare item properties.
Jewels gain the same random bonuses that items can. These can be placed into sockets. They have the same effect no matter what the base item is. Unique jewels are Rainbow Facets which have different bonuses to a certain element.
Ethereal items that are normally more powerful than their standard counterparts, but they have lowered durability and cannot be repaired. However, if equipped by an NPC companion they do not lose durability. (There are different Ethereal items which have bonus stats that make them repair durability on their own)
Charms that can be kept in the inventory and provide passive bonuses.
Class-specific items that can only be used by a certain character, e.g. Claws for an Assassin.
Additional unique and set items, including class-specific sets.
Hirelings can now follow the player through all the Acts. They can also be equipped with armor and a weapon, can gain their own experience, when before they leveled up with the player, can be healed by potions, and can be resurrected when killed.
.
I'm sure it will make it to PC in 7-8 years. I'll deal with it then. I'd still like to buy a copy of the original for PC. Played the emu version, which was fine. But I want achievements and trading cards and shit.
yeah, so like i said, a glorified overpriced patch that adds a little extra content.
I JUST BOUGHT PERSONA V AAAAAGGHHHHHHHH
haha wtf
yeah just like Catherine Fullbody and Deep Strange Journey are total ground up remakes am I right
Well, this isn't a remake.
>How about these unrelated games then
Those are at the very least ports of pretty old games, unlike Royal where it’s the exact same fucking system.
>Pretty old games
>8 years
I mean, they're not that old. It was the literal next console gen for both.
>unlike Royal where it’s the exact same fucking system.
Royal is on the PS3?!
>8 years
>not old
Physical production of both games and the systems they came out on ceased long ago and neither were available digitally until they were ported, as far as I know. Again, it’s not an amazing excuse, but at least it’s something.
Fuck off retard.
I think you're the one who's retarded for not remembering that it was on the PS3
At this rate Persona 6 will have gacha mechanics
>it’s coming out in two more months
felt like this just got announced yesterday what the fuck
nah better leave that shit in xbc2
Don't worry it'll probably be like Summer 2019 for the EoPs out there like myself
No one cares about your gimped version of the game that no one bought.
They were probably already working on the addtional materials not long after P5 was released. Fuck I wouldn't be surprised if a chunk of it was already being worked on during P5's development and was cut out to avoid delaying things even longer. After how drawn out the original game's development was they probably wanted to play things safe this time around and only make an announcement when a release window was definitively decided upon.
Yeah they do, and it invalidated your criticism. Sorry you forgot it existed.
>Fuck I wouldn't be surprised if a chunk of it was already being worked on during P5's development and was cut out to avoid delaying things even longer.
Interesting thing to point out is that on the original P5 Japanese site there was 3 blank slots for confidant characters which were filled by Goro, Kasumi and Takuto on the P5R site.
>non canon
Don't you mean the canon version? It's an improvement and has new charactets, just look how fucking prominent Kasumi's head is, gotta make sure not to confuse people so of course she's gonna be covering 90% of the art box. But to each its own.
Yeah, it's another reason to replay through the whole thing. Hope there isnt a fucking long tutorial tho
For one, the cafeteria and dialogue related to it were already in the game files. They basically prepare the assets, intentionally cut content and then wait for the rerelease
Yeah. Wanted to replay it anyways, and it seems to have enough new shit.
To be honest I'd rather have persona 4 re-released on PS4, but that doesn't seem to be in the cards.
I'm so fucking glad I didn't break on the DLC in the original, this is exorbitantly scummy
>make a big deal about the 20th anniversary
>don't release a PS4 legacy pack of Persona 1-4
really?
>He doesn't have 1-4 on his Vita already
>He doesn't kinda sorta regret buying a Vita
lawl
>he thinks people would actually play p1 and p2
lmao
nubabs don't deserve to even have it offered to them
Better video

I still have no idea why this isn't being ported to the Switch. Literally everyone would buy it in a heartbeat.
No, im going to wait until the price drops it isn't worth buying in the slightest if you've already played the vanilla version
i mean, p3fes launched pretty cheap (like 30 bucks iirc) back in the day, as did p3p and p4g, don't know why this game would launch at full price.
i might pick this up. i never finished p5.
I still have no idea why SMTV isn't being ported to the PS4. Literally everyone would buy it in a heartbeat.
Because in this era we have new "standards"
Not on release. If it gets cheap I'll pick it up used at some point like 5 years later.
the difference is that P5 is a game that exists, and SMTV is 100% vaporware.
>still literally no info several years after announcement
expect it to launch on nintendo's NEXT console and to be extremely underwhelming. picture #FE all over again.
>Royal is on the PS3?!
How does that justify treating people who bought it on the PS4 the same as the ones that bought it on the PS3?
wow that's pretty egregious
I have both parts of 2 on my vita, haven't gotten around to playing them yet though
This
Lookin cool joker t b h
Sure it's overall better combat but i don't think most people enjoy persona because of its combat, mostly for all the character interactions, style, music, and atmosphere. I mean you can enjoy games for different reasons you have to be pretty retarded to not understand that
