Is it worth going TM into Continuum Ripple Specialization just to spam TC?

>occupied dog box is basically a unusable quest item

wtf Styg I just want a pet worm, is that too much to ask?

you might find a way to "release" them in the DLC
you might not like how it goes though

20 ST gigachads already know this feel.

Jack Quicksilver's quests in the Core City dominate, goddamn. I can hardly believe you can miss out on all this if you make one wrong choice in the first 10 hours of the game.

how do i get the torch

Surprised this doesn't happen more often in RPGs. The amount of times a hobomurderer will immediately don their kills gear and then go straight back to the quest giver must at least be over 50%

I don't know about you but I'd shit my pants if after calling for someone's death I see someone in their uniform coming towards me going "I GOT HIM user"

the ferryman gives you a quest involving a story from the time he fought a big native. gotta talk through his dialogue options, its not obvious.

can i still come back to the destroy shadowlith with it or am i fucked?

Which jet ski should I pick as unamed chad so I don't get instagibbed by turrets, sea creatures and crossbows from afar?

The organic processor had that option for years.

Nope, only one. If you throw another it replaces the previous caltrops.

No, but caltrops and bear traps stack.

PSI males this game so much easier. Even on my psibridnwith shitty will/int scores.

>cage yourself in to lure out crawlers so you can destealth them all with a single flare
>lets you wait for 2 turns for cooldowns
>force enemies down a narrow path into your traps

Traps and caltrops are similarly cheesy in the sense that they don't miss. Enemies should get reflex saves on those, and more enemies should have metal boots or sure step, especially on DOMINATING.

I think there is a good unique shotgun.

>block path so you can run away and restealth in combat

How the fuck do you manage to restealth in combat, every time I try it the enemies know exactly where to come after me. I take a corner so I won't be in their FoV, stealth, take a totally different direction and end up in a closet in some random room and yet even then I get found a turn or two later. What am I doing wrong? No I'm not making any noise.

How does expertise feat work with shotguns?

it doesnt at all

I forgot the exact number, I think it's around 4 turns of breaking line of sight until they stop having the red icon

So is there no way to lose your enemies through juking then? I don't just expect them to pretend I stopped existing but the way it works is they come straight for you no matter what you do as if they had wallhax, if they found me through a spread & search tactic I would accept it as a valid move and would even be impressed.

I guess I will try running the fuck away right after I drop down my force field cause I got Force User so I can buy 4 turns but not sure how you could do that without an improved force field, can't really outrun them in stealth.

Why Tichrome? What do you even do with 8 leftover AP?

That's just how the detection system works bre.
You can also thow a flashbang or use other means to cause the incapacitated status effect which allows you to restealth instantly.

How to stop/slow down dorks when I running away 101
>pre placed bear traps
>caltrops, lots of em
>cryo gas grenades
>close the doors behind them to make it harder to run to you
>pop a bean/adrenaline for the extra mileage

16 ap per swing with tabi and lifting belt = 3 swings per normal turn
19 ap normal hammers can only fit two swings

Holy fuck that sound when crabs spawn from the ground. Fuck you styg.

Tried the bear traps but it doesn't work if you're getting chased by a horde, you end up trapping all of them until there is no space left on the field, creating a choke of bodies and leaving visible the only spot that's not trapped. If you trap every square then you can't leave the area yourself. Far as nades go, I'm a craftlet so I don't have cryo nades and I'm always low on caltrops cause I'm a STRlet and can't carry too many with me.

Didn't think incapacitating would work though as pointed out, never tried it cause I figured they would just know where I am through the same wall hax mechanic after the incapacitating effect ended. Thanks for the tips, will try it the first time I'm in a pinch.

What enhancement should I be putting on my shotguns? Just forward grips?

Probably be able to swing 3 times with Heavy lifting belt

forward grips for pumps and ammo tube for combat shotguns

How do I play a Psychic properly?
I just want to be a god inhabiting a mortal's body, is that so much to ask?

Combat shotguns are ones like sovereigns that burst fire?

decide foremost on your specialization
psychosis = enourmous, on-demand crits that obliterate the world. take PK, TC and TD
tranquility = casting so many spells until your balls fall off, pairs very well with the new time magic school from the DLC. Take TM, TC and PK

and then
10 Will, 10 Con, 9 Int, 3 in everything else become UNSTOPPABLE
take mechanics, biology electronics and tailoring, craft wizard armour
win the game

I would honestly invest in all 4 trees for MAXIMUM psi god. No, its not optimal, but its FUN. Past that, just pick the right skills for the job. thermo destabilization is insane for killing groups if you can get them to group up and burst one down (tele proxy plus punch for example).

Once you get LoC, you can win fights just by enraging everyone until they kill each other.

Why in god's name?

Having 75%+ crit chance coupled with 4 AP per attack which has at the same time buffs your damage up to +50% while debuffing the enemy to recieve more damage from all sources and having a chance to stun AND incapacitate while also applying a DoT bleeding effect but also giving you 8 movement point per stike and also being able to cast a free psi ability every 4 turns kinda makes getting hit a very far fetched concept.

passive 30% crit chance from survival instincts

Attached: depot A revisited.webm (1280x720, 2.86M)

survival instinct builds everyone

You don't want to skip metathermics on psychosis build on dominating. Nothing can compete with the aoe of destab or orb and they make so many fights much more enjoyable.

that was actually a typo lol, i forgot what metathermics was actually called and thought it was called thermodynamics, hence the mystery "TD" in the psychosis recommendations
and because thermodynamics is literally the best part of the skill

this is a hilarious webm, but what level are you and what difficulty is this

Hard, lvl 18 I think.

too bad you can only get it all the way at the end of the dlc

I did it lads
Black Sea here I come, fuck Aegis

I stole an jet ski

Attached: stolen freighter.jpg (1437x897, 357K)

did you turn core city hostile?

They are still neutral but if I come too close with the jet they turn hostile, so Im heading to the Rig next to get another one

Core city docks will be shoot on site btw, as long as you ride in on the freighter, hope you can steal another.

So is a 'pure' sniper just going to pump per, stealth and traps? Most builds seem to use sniper as a secondary weapon whereas I'd rather use it 95%+ of the time. How realistic is this, or is this just not a game for pure sniping?

Why the fuck is everything so dark? Even the UI. I feel like i have wear a head lamp or some shit just to click the right buttons

Pure sniper is one of the harder builds but doable.

Any quick tips? I've restarted a few times, but never made it to Core City because I keep wanting to make a new build.

You look at all the feats you want to take and then set the attributes accordingly.
Personally I used psi as backup because it offers some crowd control and AoE cleanup for tons of smaller enemies.

You should consider crossbow as they are silent, not sure what happens when you snipe with a rifle but it might bring everyone to investigate cause of the noise

Should I get vile weaponry or bone breaker before cheap shots? I've got taste for blood on me right now.

What am I supposed to do in Crimson Meadows? Already cleared out cryostorage and inner cultivation areas. Looted all the containers etc.

I wish you could make a fat BBW in this game and they had a big thicc sprite to represent her

Am I going to hate myself if I do heavy armor and shotguns instead of AR? I have a sneaking feeling that AR is just a lot stronger than shotgun

bone breaker > cheap shots > vile weaponry > a stinking pile of shit >>>>> taste for blood

>a weapon good at all ranges versus a weapon good at short range

Ultra DOMINATING difficulty

shotguns do WAY more damage than assault rifles and actually have pretty decent AoE capacity
and thanks to how the game is set up, if you have some form of movement increase (sprint, psychotemporal contraction etc.) you'll almost never run into a scenario where you are to far away from an enemy for shotgun damage

>passing on 50% bonus melee damage
lol

>when the battle is already over

Attached: tired.jpg (904x864, 84K)

Everytime a jetski comes through its laggy as fuck wtf

Just make your character 1 con 1 int and 1 will and youll have a similar enough experience

Pick a back up weapon. Probably SMG or assault and burn one feat for commando. Your best weapon is either 12.7 corsair with bipod and smart module. That weapon costs 50 AP to fire. So you ever only fire once, but God help anything you hit. Alternatively, use a 7.62 spearhead with reloader and smart module. The reloader lowers the AP cost to 23, so you can get two shots a turn.

Get aimed shot and snipe. Approach in stealth, do snipe, run, and do aimed shot on your next turn. If you use a spearhead with reloader, you can do snipe and then aimed shot in the same turn. You can sprinkle some caltrops in front of your sniping spot to slow down melees.

heavy armor is a meme, don't fall for it

>tfw getting a bit frustrated with the DLC because I'm finding it kinda hard
>go back to the mainland
>spend the last 6 hours just wandering around caverns, discovering how the maps link up, slaughtering helpless lunatics/lurkers/ironheads
Feels good man, this is surprisingly relaxing

i use my barehands, pussy

Is it known how shotgun cones are calculated in terms of hit %?

Bro, I've got 6 Agi and I've never had any trouble with shotgun range. Get Temporal, Sprint and a good Boot Spring and you're set for life.

pretty sure it literally says in weapon info, it should be 50 degrees to 60 degrees

For unamed/glove build it's
cheap shots > taste for blood > vile weaponry

Bone breaker needs 7 STR which is utterly wasted on that kind of build and also only triggers after crits.
Why do you dislike taste for blood this much though?
It's up to 50% bonus damage that carries over across all tragets, which gets fucking insane in group fights.
The lunatic mall was hilarious for me, dropped them in like 2-3 hits.

Right but, does each pellet then calculate a chance to hit vs your target and then if it misses the target calculate vs another eligible target in the cone? Or does the attack randomly assign pellets to everyone in the cone?

don't you mock, 50% damage from mechanical sources boi

>throw a grenade at emporium mall in real time mode
>entire game slows to a crawl as all 30 lunatic gangsters come to investigate

>not going with AOE fear on everything but the guy with a hammer, then enraging the hammer guy with contraction

Never realized you can find energy shield inside Depot A.

If you're with aegis tec you're supposed to get a tablet for them to decode. Use your intercom to chat with the professor if you have it.

If not, have you tried throwing pesticide grenade at the entangled console?

Is it actually good tho

no idea but that would make sense

it could work like a cryo orb, just with the pellets spread in that 50 degree cone, but then train shot wouldn't make any sense and would never hit

The entire game slows down processing real time AI, I cant even move my character properly. It runs fine if I enter combat mode though.

Does speedhack help?

that's worse than what i said. He's gonna spend more time chasing feared retards than killing people. Also the others can kill eachother also and you don't even need to use force field if you are far away.

no but the idea of all of them running in fear as the hammer guy rushes after them like a horror movie villain is hilarious

>sneaking around

Aahh why bonding agent has to be so low supply on vendors.

Lurkers are supposed to be hard?

Attached: 21523.jpg (1024x512, 53K)

How's that going? I thought of running one but I figured pure spear melee with grenadier was the best way for me to play.

Well its kind of a meme build where I took literally all the feats for blocking so Im pretty much invincible against melee but bullets still hurts until I can get a good shield

tincan and shotgun don't mix well, I had an AR build and after the DLC I tried to mix it up with shotguns and it was a mess, they're still super effective defensively but you should always the the initiative with the AR and swap to the shotgun during CQC.

Spear guardian was literally all you needed.

>Protectorate Shock Trooper pops out of cornee

To become a true master of blocking you must study all the ways of blocking

afaik there's nothing you can do with scrap jets, the only ones you can sell, or at least try are the aegis jetski they gift you or the lemurian one, the lemurian one can be sold for 30 grand (with 140 effective mercantile)

Bre, you can block up to 40 damage with a regular 150 quality spear. Fend is completely unnecessary and pretty much useless

>Must be nice to play psi
It is, you should try it sometime, brainlet.

literally ever doctor along with Quinton in sgs has it

>40 dmg
Yeah and that's not enough and require a high quality spear and Im going to use the psi-staves eventually anyway

Psi staves deal absolute shit damage and can't block for shit, bre.

Breakdown is better. At least they'll stay in place for the hammerbre to run up and stun them.

Spears are for looking cool user, I stab people with my mind mostly

Positioning matters a lot more for shotguns so it can be a pain in the ass to close the distance, but throwing molotovs and hiding behind corners can solve a lot of your problems. take sprint and bring an AR secondary and you'll do just fine.

Whatever you say, crazy conspiracy theorist

What are the requirements to go to Expedition? Someone mentioned you're not allowed unless you've comitted "a great deed" or something. I'm level 15 and haven't even started Rail Crossing. Does it have something to do with The Beast at Foundry?

Nobody

gamer

fucking how?

Fucked around the three major hubs and explored both upper and lower Underrail extensively.

Just be the Invictus I think.

Yeah, the reason is math.
25% is 1/4, 33% is 1/3. Every third instance now has a guaranteed chance to 3d roll every enemy in close vicinity for new stacks, and those instances spawned have the same chance themselves. And that's the reason it got nerfed. It still kicks ass without the bonus.

There's a bunch of shit you can do.

So how detrimental to life is that -25% health with psi empathy if I go full mad scientist with chem pistols? I really like temporal manipulation. I'd likely be using light armor to keep ap costs low. I'm assuming I'd need stealth to live anyway, right? And my int will already be high.

>Ezra is probably the one that'll best put it to use.
weird i dont have an option to show it to him

Yep. Look up noises on wiki.

I was mainly going temporal, but I just realized that force field would be super good for chem builds too.

ALso, I'm a huge retard and thought that armor penalty affected light weapon AP cost for some reason.

Not gonna lie, I dislike this dlc. I don't even feel like finishing it.

Honestly i think that mad scientist benefits a fuck ton from being a full TC caster with a bit of TM and Psychokinetics since it all ensures that your energy pistols actually hit their target.

spoken like a pussy

chem/TM/PK build here, it is extremely fun. I even took grenadier for maximum carnage but in hindsight it was overkill.

Is telekinetic punch stun chance linked to skill level? I can't land a single stun with 25 skill.

Feels like the sort of thing that will be more fun on a second run when you know what you're doing, I found it a bit tedious at times too

Yes. Same for all other psi schools.

Theres a computer with some coords. You wont complete mission until you get them. Same area as overgrown console.

youtube.com/watch?v=qzVexHHhh4A&list=LL5sIDFRVhEmIZqT7zsf4sOg

How close to the original fallouts is this game gameplay wise ?

west underrail sounds so based

A lot less useless skills and a lot more tactical thinking. Your also not required to have ag 10

far better and less reliant on crits

Anything specific to know before diving in ? Am I supposed to get some amount of speech and lockpick to not get meme'd out of some quests ?

Should I go balls in into LoC?

Attached: tranq.png (1920x1080, 349K)

Will this psi build carry me through a no death run? I want to minimize RNG as much as possible

Attached: 115151515.png (1366x768, 199K)

What does he say? I dont want to reroll juet to see what he says. I didint even have the persuasionion.

You are going to die a lot, and your going to restart a lot. You dont necessarily need either of those skills, but it is very nice to have them.

It's just jet ski combat is horrendous, driving them around for hours through empty tiles is also boring as fuck. Some enemies literally can't be killed with melee and fuck throwing nades at them for 10 turns.

There's plenty of situations that can be resolved only through persuasion, yeah. Lockpicking is more about extra loot than anything else, though.

Can I make a charisma slut like in arcanum or is this more action focused ?

Pretty similar, but not super similar. It's not an ATOM-tier Fallout clone, and the similarities is more mood and atmosphere than gameplay (aside from both being 2D isometric RPGs with an AP system)

Yeah, with a psibeetle carapace.

Absolutely not, you NEED combat skills.

No. Max Tranquility, then max Psycho-temporal Acceleration. On Tranquility you want to cast as much as you can but a single LoC per battle is more than enough.

You're going to be by yourself most of the time.
Traps/throwing are fantastic support skills in this game.

At its core its much more combat focused. I guess you could try and stealth/fear and run away from every enemy but you really shouldnt

Tons better. Combat itself is more tactical and character builds have have heavy influence on your playstyle. Blows good old Fallout out of the water combat wise 100-0.

you are like little babbies

Attached: dome banger.png (373x738, 235K)

No, not at all. Persuasion is a good skill to have, and unlike in most RPGs, mercantile is actually somewhat useful and worth putting a few points into (esp. if you're an INT character where you don't need a lot of investment to get a lot out of it)

But you don't have any companions and 99% of fights you're completely alone, so you need good combat

>kill tchort
He doesn't believe you

Attached: 1564132153217.png (500x500, 12K)

>enjoy killing the enemy for just 10 AP
wow, so awful

Is this why I win all the hard fights?

Attached: b-but machetes are too risky.png (1105x738, 1.01M)

>some
you mean one? because that's how many quest you get after joining them

>dodge is bad

you are all pathetic

call me back when you get one shot by natives, 3 CONnner

is there a weapon with a higher innate hit chance than a LS neo luger?

I'll let you know.

Attached: if only they had studied the blade.png (1113x948, 1.8M)

This is strictly a murderhobo game, you can't diplomat your way through everything. Persuasion mostly exists to give you alternate (not always necessarily better) solutions to some situations and quests.

The armor system is not shit, so no 400+ crits with a 5.56 minigun vs a suit of power armor.
Stats matter, no dumbass requirements like having 6 perception to even get the quest to rescue the kid in Modoc, which is how you get the best early game armor.
You can't just go into an area at lvl 1 and get what you need, or spam spacebar and get through every enemy.
So no, it's a lot better, for many reasons beside those mentioned. I despise Fallout 2 but love Underrail. I'd say they're very different aside from stemming from GURPS and having the same style dialogue screen.

Are shotgun builds viable? Worth it?

Attached: 1499080307611.jpg (1024x768, 68K)

Okay cheers m8s gonna give it a try, throwing is usually garbage in these games and it's a goddamn shame, if it's cool in this one I'll try to make a character focused on that

lol, useless junkie fuck

Where exactly in the west wing is Six? I want to show him my massive acorn

>useless
as useless as that big pile of corpses?
lol ok

keep trying

Its much more worth it to have throwing as a secondary

I bought all the vendor mines for this, even the shitty mk I's. I don't have anything else left, if I attack directly the entirety of SGS turns hostile. WHAT THE FUCK DO I DO

Attached: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.png (690x350, 143K)

What's a good low commitment primary that leaves my options open as I figure shit out ?

Alright, tell me all the possible ways to make my crit chance as high as possible.

they're very powerful one shot, one kill weapons

No Marcus to hide behind in this game. Well, Marcus is gonna be your enemy while you have nothing but a shitty pea shooter. This is how it usually goes.

drink soda, win initiative

It's not worth putting points into throwing because it's fucking hilarious when you throw a grenade straight ahead and it flies off 90 degrees to your left and lands 2 tiles away

Really nothing, you need to commit to a build to succeed otherwise youll just get fucked later on. just keep trying builds at first until you find one that works well for you

Why even kill him

a scoped sniper rifle for one

kukri, infused rathound leather armor, recklessness and its specialization, hardcore chips

Attached: great victory for justice.png (575x1123, 629K)

Is this enough nades to genocide the natives? I'm thinking about making about 10 more gas grenades and some more napalm.

Attached: file.png (685x288, 54K)

You save so many skill, Feat and stat points with shotties that it'd be stupid to make a shotgun-only build.

Better shield emitter than mine by a lot and better sniper rifle (sure I won't be using it over the Dragunov because high AP cost but it has twice the high-end damage, I'll probably need it later to one shot beefier targets with snipe) since I'm a craftlet that is 100% reliant on drops / finds.

Besides I hate niggers.

you can get over 100% crit chance with some weapons

knives for example

I want to make sure that every corpse I leave behind are burned to a crisp beyond all recognition, which build should I go for?

Save stat points how?

Guys the game is asking me if I want to gain experience by collecting bobbleheads or by killing shit
which is the halal option that won't get me shunned from valhalla ?

Psi pyro and get a specialized psi band as soon as possible.

You don't need to go past 9 PER at all with shotties. Hell you could stop at 7 too. If you don't want to burst, you can keep your STR at 5, and since shotties literally only require mechanics to be crafted, you could save on INT and all the other crafting options if you're not interested.

Oddity for the first run, then decide.

How the FUCK do I get more Napalm C? I need more napalm to burn these tribals

classic

This wasn't worth checking six gorillion seashells.

Attached: 1.jpg (1366x768, 271K)

What about Sturdy + Super Steel Sheet + Psicrab Carapace + Blast Cloth?
Can make a disgusting piece with great stats, but that 95% penalty might be brutal.
Seems like the psicrab/crab carapaces aren't nearly as useful as they should be by the time you can get them.

pick either and dont talk like that

Isn't magnesium enough? They're mostly hobos individually.

Why are the PER breakpoints 9 and 7?
Fragmented Chaos at 9 but I don't see what's at 7

>hoppers can drop dragon tail oddity
>Dude says that when they die they turn into acid-breathing monsters

so acid-spitting hopper dragons when?

They are, if you know armor-fu.

Should I just go solo after making the professor talk? kinda tired of everyones bullshit and I would rather kill everyone except the ferryman

Kneecap Shot.

Psi crab carapce is just too heavy, it's never worth losing all your MP. And the electrical protection is shit, I got the Tesla armor almost right away and it gives me 100% electrical resistance with some galvanic boots.

Oculus/Protectorate, rarely some Core City merchants. Once in a god damn century, Harold at SGS has Napalm.

11 or 12 dex for unarmed build?

Anyone know where the shard is in the DLC? I have been looking for it ever since the ferryman mentioned it but I have had no luck.

how the fuck do I destroy the shadowlith I have the torch but it's not doing shit.

Just b urself

Same tbqhwyf, it feels preety fucking bad compared to the base(d) game, it also feels extremely fucking long just due to all the fucking travelling on that stupid jetski, and also the ending is quite fucking underwhelming imo, especially if you didnt do the torch quest, the abyss station is quite fucking amazing in its design but feels quite crap like no unique enemies or anything just Todd and the crystal

Quick pockets is always tempting because I love grenades and it's nice being able to toss an offensive, defensive, and emp on with belts that don't have utility slots. But it always feels like a waste of a feat since it doesn't directly enhance your abilities. Should I skip or get it?

You need to find it on the big guy's corpse in the native graveyard, the boneyard.
Bring night vision and don't touch anything but the bone lifts

>mantra and advaced psi empathy
mantra seems like utter garbage same with advanced psi empathy in the late game you have so many reduced psi costs and +max psi it doesnt seem necessary and also psi potion costs like 2 ap with the doc belt

If I want the Faceless to be friendly to me in the DC, do I NEED to kill Eiden at the lift, the Faceless which attack the lift are hostile

>con: 3
>no death run
Enjoying dying to the first enemy to roll initiative better than you I guess

Well no shit, some builds don't benefit from that. But most do, given that psi hypo has a cooldown.

Oh yea, I went there a while ago but couldn't do anything with those lifts

Octavia in the chemistry wing of Investigation in Institute of Tchort ALWAYS sells 1 or 2 Napalm

Although magnesium grenades get the job done just as easy

Go down the middle route where the paths fork off, you'll find a bone crank. Use that on the lifts to operate them

How do I set up those mines I asked ferryman to deliver to camp?

Does anyone know what level of mercantile I need to get halfway decent crafting components? I'm trying to get a decent psi headband, but I can't seem to find anything above 100-110ish quality

>Jump in and take the elevator down whilst Eidein and the Faceless are still fighting
Lmao bye

Like, put em on the shore? I've done that without any outside incentive, seems like an obvious thing.

Coretech vendor starts selling decent psi components at 50 mercantile I believe.

But where are they? Also I thought they're naval mines. They look naval.

Youll see top tier parts regularly at good shops with 100+ merc

How much does naval combat compensate? Will a character with 0 guns actually be able to hit anything with mounted weapons?

underrail.com/wiki/index.php?title=Mercantile
50 Mercantile unlocks the first tier of special merchandize on most traders, except the one in University
I believe there's a merchant upgrade after you beat all missions in the Institute of Tchort, in a similar way traders get an upgrade after you did the drill circuit thingy quest

Also Coretech is the best at having electronic stuff

Based

Fuck, 100+ merc sounds like such a waste of points though

What the fuck is wrong with that crab sound. I almost shit myself and got a heart attack.

>Intlets
lmao

>Find steel machete early on
>Decide to farm some sweet ass cheevos on early rathounds
Man, swords are pretty fun, actually. Maybe I'll make my next character a melee guy.

styg's constant nerfing of everything fun in the game killed my enjoyment of it
if i had known that my build would get a nerf stick in a patch i would have just gone psi since its always overpowered

Rathounds are friendly when you wear the regalia. Cool!

Oh, that's different. Probably need a special ship.

what did he nerf now user

The fuck you're talking about?
What got nerfed?

The true waste is skyrocketing crafting skills then not leveling Mercantile to make use of them properly.

he nerfed quick tinkering and made crossbows even more useless as a result

>QT
Irrelevant
>Nerfed crossbows
Good

t. tin can

FUCK crossbows

When I play Xbows I don't usually need QT, I just lay Traps in Stealth beforehand. Did he actually directly nerf Xbows? For some reason they feel much weaker than how they felt a year ago.

Fucking finally. The only thing left is NPC crossbowmen cheating.

Is there anything interesting you can get from fishing in the black sea?
Only tried fising inside the crypts, absolutely nothing here.

Wait what? Mercantile affects the quality of sold components?

Yeah, I guess they are weaker, since I completed warehouse on 2nd try with 4 bear traps that I had in my inventory. It used to be literal gangrape.

YUH

The MEAN quality of sold components. You can still get a good one once in a while.

Well then maybe if you were nicer, it wouldn't be a problem.

Oh fuck. So I won't be able to get top quality stuff without mercantile?

Go back to looting mud piles in the caves, zoner

Yes, higher mercantile = better quality components

How do you think people are getting 150+ quality parts?

You could, maybe, but its less likely.

High mercantile > lockpicking
Prove me wrong.

Nice one (not really).

I plan to use agi equipment and perma Twitch and soda for 43 initiative, surely that should be enough?

Okay so the doctor says I can take a pill that'll fuck me up in exchange for making me a wizard
Is there a way to become a wizard without taking the pill or do I just suck it up ?

Luck or F9ing right before shops refilled

Take the red pill.

Lockpicking is luxury skill that's only worth taking if there is nothing else that you care about getting.

Prove me wrong.

All the pill does is take 25% of your health in exchange for Psionic powers. It's the only way to get Psi and it's absolutely worth it even if you only take temporal manipulation

>he doesn't have both over 100
get dabbed on goyim

How the fuck can you people play any RPG without putting points into lockpicking

No way, it's utility. Not having it locks you out of so much shit.

Ahh, so this is the dominating everyone's been talking about.

Attached: 7 psi beetles vs 1 door.jpg (1920x1200, 278K)

So here's something I just fucking learned. You don't need to trap or entangle the cave hoppers to capture them. You just need to manually enter combat and run up to them.

Dude open the door I'm a fairy

>Savescum and pray you make most Beetles panic from a Molotov
This shit doesn't look very fun.

Congrats on figuring out a deliberate tutorial quest

>only 1 molotov
you know Quinton sells 5 right?

How do you open vents without at least some investment into lockpicking?

I just assumed you had to throw the nets and entangle them first.

Like what?

no, stealthed enemies undetected get +100

yeah me too

Like Abram's stuff. And many oddities, which means precious XP.

Welcome to pain town
Population: You

Attached: 1535779026781.jpg (1000x761, 114K)

Or he'll step on a single mine

A useful trick to get around doors costing 25AP is to open the door and forcefield it shut. Then when the forcefield drops you can throw your molotov and shut the door.

If you happen to choose to kidnap a certain thicc bitch for a furfag, know that she HAS to be incapacitated in some way.

Can't I just throw flares or fireballs at suspicious places before walking into them?

enemies in stealth patrol
something is gonna get you eventually, probably a death stalker
also no, flares don't reveal invisible enemies

They do, but only once.

Odd. I threw one directly on where a death stalker showed up and it didn't do anything, fucker just ran up and stung me. Never killed that guy.

Will stealthing around with Paranoia and detection goggles be enough to detect them before they detect me?

d-do I show tanner the acorn?

no, they get a flat +100 bonus on top of their normal initiative

>3 PER
You know what, just go for it and report back.

It showed up, means it got revealed. Stealthed enemies are invisible.

You follow a guide to one of the viable builds or you get stuck with an underpowered character. Alternatively, if your time is worthless, you arrive at one of the viable builds by trial and error.
There's nothing unique or even worthwhile to be gained by exploration, hacking or lockpicking, all the useful shit you buy in stores or get in combat.

its been weeks... I only have 15K charons....how am I ever supposed to afford the Devastator bros...

Attached: 1542227058079.jpg (1722x1722, 1.91M)

Why the fuck would you do that?

NO, for the love of God

He spills as much knowledge about it as a fucking Azif, all while pulling the "lalala i was just interested in this subject :^)" bullshit.

I meant it showed up after it initiated combat and smacked me

oh no no no look at this dude

With 500 charons I'm the happiest man in Underrail

Ok fuck it, I bought the base game (without this new DLC), but I'm still on the fence about playing since I don't really like pixelshit.
First post telling me to either play it or not decides what I do.

Load the Reef Glider with the highest quality details and sell it for 40k

Play it. It might cure your terminal shit taste.

I'm one good quality High Efficiency converter away from joining the 2k shield club. The one I have right now is 125 quality and only get me to a little over 1500. I already checked the coretech guys inventory with the Mercantile check, that's as good as he seems to sell. Anyone else that might sell a really high quality one?

Is there any way to improve acid tangle chance?

Someone posted Ezra's dialogue about it, but are there collages of their respective speeches?

shit does it really sell for that much?
I haven't done that much in the Black Sea yet since I'm still prepping my genocide

Attached: swords.webm (960x540, 1.07M)

Alright, so it's decided.

That Six guy is rude.

You're not disproving anything he posted, clamped to hit means you will always eventually have fights where you whiff your first flurry swing. You can mitigate it with psi, but swords are hardly unique in that psi can cover many of your weaknesses.

Ok, what about replacing soda with a stuffed bat and adding in third eye drug for bonus 45% detection in top of the goggles and Paranoia? Still unplausible?

base parts and low merc will drop it to 15k at rays

Are psi gods that go all-in in the 4 psi disciplines viable on dominating?

Kill him. What are you, a pussy?

He bitches like a bitch ass autistic bitch when you are equally an ass to him.

>when you get in motion

Attached: 1.jpg (2560x1514, 1012K)

hit chance capping at 95% is retarded fuck this shit can the cap be removed somehow?

yes

>Is the build which gives me access to AOE enrage and the proxy-implosion-kinetic punch combo viable
You tell me

Yuuuuup.

It's a pain in the ass to spot crawlers even with max perception, and they only have ~150 stealth. Death crawlers have about 300 stealth and over 300 perception. Probably like 400 on dominating due to the 30% buff. They see through massive stealth, and move too fast through your site range to reveal before they reach you even if you could reach the stats needed to spot them. You've also got a few places where they're going to be on you like 2 seconds after exiting a vent with the only way to deal with them being having prior knowledge. Underrail no death runs are literal autism.

Tried finding it, still no luck, looked through every area in the graveyard. Could it be locked behind the story mission? I have been just exploring mostly.

Attached: 2019-08-14_2024_1.png (2560x1440, 1.64M)

Play expedition
Get filtered at Depot A
Then neck yourself

What's the best strategy to get the Immortal arena nickname?

last stand

thats rough
Does he actually have a seperate infinite charon stash for buying jetskis though?
Everyone capping at like ~400 charons for 90 minutes is what fucks me over, still have 1000s of KG of shit to sell but nobody ever has enough goddamn money

Heavy armor seems to be the way to go, just tank their hits, it's possible to prevent all of it from piercing DT

Is it worth making an armor with black cloth if I have 0 points in stealth anyway? I really would like to sneak at least a little bit, but fuck putting points into it.

why the fuck you can't open energy shield for yourself on jetski

Just savescum

Post your hotbars

Attached: 20190813223006_1.jpg (834x70, 35K)

no, not really
like 20-30 stealth won't do much for you by itself

Do you mean the bone crank? It should be in the very first area after the fork. Check your inventory also
You ARE holding tab, right user?

Is there something I'm missing with this music puzzle? Other than the fact I don't understand half of the words, but I just see random numbers where's the music part?

I'd love to, but the items I put there always reset.

Eventually. You can get to a serviceable level of stealth just off gear alone with a balaclava, leather armor, black tabi, and a cloaking field. Not enough to play like a stealth character but enough to get past people or steal shit.

it's not like he runs off with it, right?

Yeah I'm based

Attached: hatbor.jpg (756x129, 64K)

Well looks like I'm abusing merchant refresh

Lmao, didn't recognize it at first.

I actually set a macro to toggle tab so that's always on. The fork is supposed to be in the graveyard, right?

The crank is random, it can either be on the floor in the boneyard, or in any of the hoists, so you need to check everywhere and every single hoist until you find it, then remove it if it wasn't on the floor and take it to the correct hoist

Is there a way to craft more than one item at a time I dont know about? Like holding down shift to do 5 at a time?

Fuck I really want to do a no death run, it makes death and careful planning much more meaningful and fun. Is it really hopeless? No way to detect them relatively fast or wear armor that completely nullifies their damage?

>enough to get past people
Good enough then. I should be able to get away with carrying a bunch of other sneaking gear with me in case of emergency.

>It can spawn in any of the 100 bone cranks
Here in the biz, we call this getting CRANK'D

And that's fine because that's what makes swords balanced, certainly not "too broken to be used properly". Unlike knives and fists you can 100-0 industrial bots and nagas without Expose Weakness, the trade off is that if you get unlucky you slow down. That's it. You still one shot almost everything on crit without flurry. Even leaving PSI out of the question, popping an adrenaline when you miss means you'll get 2 more strikes to work with in your current turn, 5 more strikes on your second turn, and by the third turn flurry is up again.

Not as much detection as Gray Army officers tho. These motherfuckers see you a screen away regardless of your stats.

Just make it as light as possible, no need for protection.

Is it possible to sneak into that warehouse that the black eels have on the south side of the docks?

He does

that was a pretty shit move and my biggest gripe with the whole quest, the crank being random is unnecessary, not explained at all and completely retarded, i literally had to go through every single hoist to find it, it was in the fucking last one i checked, all the while being raped by unkillable ghosts

Oof, yea found it, it was on the farthest possible hoist. Don't think I would have ever thought to touch every mechanism in the hopes of finding it on my own. Thanks!

Please I just want to buy BONDING AGENTS I have the money please sell them!

stealth gear is pretty lightweight too, early you can make due with the rathound regalia as stealth armor + balaclava and black cloth tabis, later you can add a proper stealth suit + cloaking device

Attached: cloackingdevice.jpg (301x525, 63K)

Look for medical and chemist traders, Quinton or Pascale in SGS got your back

Yeees but they have so little I'm running out of chem ammo all the time.

you wouldn't have because there is nothing telling you that might be the case, that's why its retarded, if i haven't been told i had to find it on the graveyard, i would have spend forever looking it outside the graveyard since it would make sense for whoever lowers the fucking bodies to have the crank on himself

Pascale stocks five iirc.

fixer?

Pay fixer a visit then.

By not putting any points in lockpicking duh

Go start murdering mutants then

I wish the map showed exits on each square. I want to explore every square inch, but sometimes I forget where I haven't been and knowing there's an exit to an undiscovered map would be kinda handy

By not being an autistic lootwhore

He says as he pumps up Mercantile skill

use the CE table to force a refresh of vendor stocks and get yourself a full stack of agents so you don't have to worry about ammo for a while

This. Right now i'm forced to make notes about the other exits.

Their OCD isn't as bad as yours

Attached: download.jpg (190x266, 7K)

so how does Six react to that?

>can click your character portrait to cast things on self
HOW DID I NOT KNOW THIS

Is it possible to change the font ingame? I find it it difficult to read.

What's the best build/focus to
a) steamroll the game.
b) have the most enjoyable combat.
c) access the most content on a single playthrough.

STYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYG I DONT UNDERSTAND HALF OF THE WORDS IN THE EXPLANATION WHAT THE FUCK IS EVEN AN OCTAVE

Attached: file.png (983x289, 138K)

He teleports to his dungeon where you are subject to cock n ball torture for all of eternity

They're made up titles of music that the staff liked.

charons don't take up weight, bitch boi

also, mercantile has dialogue options

Psimonk.

psi fits all 3

>fight through bunch of crawlers/death stalkers
>climb down spoopy hole
>fight the black crawler
>it doesn't drop any unique oddities
I feel cheated

Just learn music jack. You're not a grug build right?

In music an octave is a higher/lower pitch of then ote, but fuck that, music is for faggots. All you need to know is
It's the same notes
But the letter correlating to that note shifts up/down the alphabet depending on the octave.
Remember it's 12 notes, repeated THREE times, that is the same as 36 (36 = the numbers 0-9+all the letters in the alphabet.)

kek

Attached: ss.png (1920x1080, 1.44M)

Oh shit there is a 3 exp oddity there?
Fuck man, I decided to being lazy and took the easy way through the crawlers, and ignored the mutants

Now I need to go back there

See now it makes fucking sense. Was it so fucking hard to explain it this way.

autism, autism

i want to write my music sheet, i want to write it now

Are biology and chem worth taking past 50 or so?

>anything with crawlers
>easy way

why the hell would you make that your name

just sneak past them jack

nope

depends on your build and what kind of drugs you love

The explanation for how the keys work is worded in the most confusing manner possible. Maybe it was intentional cause it's supposed to be written by a scientist who is clearly sexually aroused by codebreaking.

If you're going melee, stop leveling bio when your at 135 in effective bio

Max chem out only if you're going chem pistol, 60 effective chem is enough to make napalm molotovs

quick before the thread dies
should I buy low frequency shield emitter or medium frequency emitter before depot A?

I know exactly where you're talking about and now I'm glad I didn't bother struggling through that yesterday.

low

L O W

O

W

thanks jacks

I thought that's what the transposition and modulation did, xmod12 would shift the starting note xmods12 units right

When should I stop pumping Persuasion? I feel like having 113 in it by lvl 14 is kind of an overkill.

What in Depot A does low speed damage?

what is traces of dangerous substance?

pretty sure the highest check is 115 or maybe 120, and only once

don't the dogs??

Everything? And anything that isn't would still be stopped. Only pipeworkers don't use low-low.

I'm a tin can with psychokinesis

So, did devs mentioned if they working on other expansion or underrail2?

I thought their unarmed attacks would bypass shields

Oh fugg

the interview said they would probably say more in september after their break

It does, but only within the octave.
I don't have the image saved but picture 12 notes, repeated 3 times. They're separate
You use the octave key to find out which octave your note is on
Then you apply the offset, but if it would theoretically take you OUT of the octave your key is, it instead loops back to the start of that same octave, or rather, to the start of those 12 letters.

>3 str
