Why, are you retarded?

Noel, that kid in 2nd grade that accidentally crapped his pants and tried to sneakily empty his shit into the teacher's trash can but got caught

11037? Maybe it corresponds to the letter of the alphabet or something.

Happy Holidays. :^)

Do a barrel-roll

>tfw recognized it was a name immediately
>ruined the whole case for me and made all the students look retarded

Lois look! It's SNEED!

They're japanese what can you do

holy fuck

Yeah thats for everyone who isn't Japanese and doesn't know english alphabet. This case would need to be remade entirely for localization purposes
I had no idea it was upside down until they mentioned it in the trial
>if he had somehow erased or covered the message he could have gotten away with it and graduated in case 1

user, you have been hired to localize this case! What changes do you make so that it doesn't seem absolutely retarded to all the impressionable young EoP retards that will be playing this game?

Attached: 1560925309140.jpg (720x900, 38K)

they made the connecting line too obvious
but I get that it was meant for Japanese players who wouldn't be as familiar with english letters, especially written upside-down

not to mention the extra step of taking Leon's name in Japanese and figuring out how it would be spelled in English

it's obvious to us because we've seen him calle LEON over and over, but they would have had it in kanji

Make the blood a drawing of a cat

why wouldn't Sayaka, a japanese person, write it in fucking japanese?

I mean even if the letters weren't obvious, its a fucking common sense that a victim always write killers name. What else would she wrote with her dying breath?? Secrets of Da Vinci code?

>Makoto asks Chihiro if it could be some kind of super-secret programming code

Remove entire drawing beside reversed L. There are already enough hints as it is.

It's NOEL upside down dumbass.

ON THE MEAT BONE

Because that would be too easy. It's gameplay above all else, though in the west it kind of got wrecked

Somewhat ok attempt attempt.

NO THAT'S WRONG!

Attached: MEAT.png (1280x720, 760K)

GRAVEL SWIMSUIT

Woudn't the case be better if translation team completely removed the dying message entirely as a hint?

But then what would be used as an epic password in DR2?

Time to solve this mystery together anons!

Attached: 1563327937880.gif (245x325, 1.09M)

it's NO 37

Because she's trying to out Leon. Knowing Leon is an idiot and would think she was writing out numbers, Sayaka wrote her killer's name in English hoping he doesn't know enough to erase it.

SEE

>Ruined a tutorial case already spoiled in the opening

That's a fair point, that would explain why Leon didn't erase or cover it

>numbers? who gives a shit

Why didn't she write it in japanese?

Japanese numbers are same as ours bro

I felt so stupid for not figuring this one out lmao

>Tfw thought they were numbers at first and nothing of it because it's a common cliché
>Flipped screen on a whim and noticed the name
>Checked glossary and saw the twist
I thought it was an elaborate ruse like the one in Chapter 2 since it was too easy but nah. It's like that one part in Rise from the Ashes from Ace Attorney 1 where you reveal the name on the broken jar but made for stupid people.

Attached: maxresdefault-2.jpg (1280x720, 115K)

only elder boomers use this anymore

It's so obvious I could see your brain just kind of glossing over it, because it seems like it MUST have a deeper meaning and the game keeps hammering that into you

>took the game far more seriously than you were meant to as an investigative/mystery/detective thing
>memorized the details of the bios of each individual student
>in the final case when you get Mukuro's measurements I immediately noticed that they were the same as Junko's ruining the entire twist. I started paying special attention to anything Junko related and noticed that the only person who could have "died from multiple wounds several days old" was Junko, who was clearly either a twin/doppelganger/etc. of Mukura and solved the whole fucking thing before the final trial even started.

also noticed that Junko's face was blocked in the group photo, and all the other group photos, simply cementing that I was right

had to sit through at least an hour of the game catching up to what I already knew

But Sneed appears two episodes before that

You should apply to the FBI.

We are always looking for more people.

I would hope that the FBI and other actual investigative organizations view shit like DR as kindergarten level, though recent events have proven that even at the top you've got some real retards

All I did was memorize things that the game implies are important. Why WOULDN'T you go through everybody's bio and commit it to memory?

you could also just check the handbook after hearing the measurements

Junko is the only one who's even the same HEIGHT as Mukuro

Oh yeah, the infamous Sayaka killer juuichi zero san nana, how could anyone forget
Thats not how it fucking works

It's still a first trial, it's not supposed to be super obtuse. Upside down letters isn't the first thing that would pop into a Japanese kid's head but once they caught that it was in fact upside down they'd probably get it. The second hurdle would be remembering the name Leon when all the characters have been calling him by his last name this whole time. They opted not to keep that particular bit of Japanese culture for the sake of proper English and it hurt that trial further.

Leon also seems to be the type that wouldn't do well in English at school
He straight up says the only thing he likes about Baseball is that it lets him coast through school without studying

>remembering the name Leon when all the characters have been calling him by his last name this whole time. They opted not to keep that particular bit of Japanese culture for the sake of proper English and it hurt that trial further.
And yet the key clue in 3-3 is that Hifumi has an "odd habit" of always calling people their last name, so when he says Yasuhiro he's actually referring to Celeste whose real name is Taeko Yasuhiro

>Watching Simpsons past Season 9

*1-3 obviously

This shit made me drop Danganronpa. The entire class just seemed like a group of bumbling retards, and I had to sit through an extended investigation/trial sequence discovering what was already blindingly obvious.

It gets better, the cases obviously progress in complexity

Though if you are a considerably smart person you might run into the problem of being ahead of the game several times, because it isn't particularly difficult

Did you at least set the logic difficulty to Mean?

I'd be interested to see your reaction if you went from case 1-1 to 2-4 and had to solve Strawberry/Grape house

>I dropped the game at the tutorial case am I cool guise??

Wait, this thread isn't about some Resident Evil game i've never heard of...?

This must have been so fucking awkward for the translators

I can only imagine they realized "this is too obvious but we have no fucking choice but to present it as is"

dangitronpaul

op's picture is legendary because in japanese the twist makes more sense, as it looks like numbers but turns out to be english, but in english it's literally just somebody's name written backwards

Why? Its a tutorial case, its fine if its easy

It's fucking 1-1. Also, read the thread. There are multiple issues with localization that made this way easy for english speakers.

backwards AND upside down

imagine if it was made for English speakers and was backwards upside-down katakana and you get more of a sense of how difficult it was intended to be for japanese audiences

>Sayaka sneedposts

Fucking glow in the dark nigger

Attached: 7555346E31314671BC02.jpg (2800x1594, 1001K)

I could be wrong since it's been a while since I played it in japanese, but doesn't he say "dono" too or something? Isn't that really weird and formal?

but it wasn't supposed to be THAT easy

this is why people view 2-1 as superior for an opening case because it didn't suffer localization issues like this

dudes
it says LEON
LEON is LION in spanish

What are the devs like? Thinking about pirating since I don't want this shit to appear in my Steam Library, but I don't like fucking over good devs either.

I'm not sure how it's handled in japanese, that might be it. Because they make a point of him saying "Mr. Naegi" and nobody else uses a formal title like that

But it still hinges on the last-name part, because people mistake Celeste's real last name Yasuhiro for Hagakure's first name Yasuhiro

>sequel's opening case is "better" even though its still really bad
WOOOOOOOOOOOOW, WHO WOULD'VE THOUGHT

He was clearly mocking me for thinking I was such a smart cookie
if you've been watching the news recently you know that law enforcement all the way up to the highest levels doesn't even know how to pronounce 'Yea Forums'

dono is weird and formal, but in fiction it's generally used as "the honorific that otaku characters use for some reason."

>sequels are automatically better
since the fuck when?
2-1 has its own problems

Attached: meatbone.jpg (1280x720, 124K)

>tfw Danganronpa was your first murder mystery so you actually didn't get it until Kyoko explained it to you in the trial
h-haha

Yeah, I know, the guy from Prison School does it too.

What did you think it was, then? It's clear the 'numbers' can't possibly mean anything, and the way they're written doesn't look like how a personally would traditionally write numbers anyway.

Isn't that for samurai stuff too?

Attached: 3562405.jpg (940x626, 144K)

>sequels are automatically better
>since the fuck when?
Since the dawn of time? Whenever you create something, and then try to create a sequel to that, your first thought is how to make it better than the last one
Just because there are exceptions to this rule, it doesnt make it any less true

yeah.

let's just consult the library of alexandria

Dono/tono
Tono (殿【との】), pronounced -dono (どの) when attached to a name, roughly means "lord" or "master". It does not equate noble status; rather it is a term akin to "milord" or French "monseigneur", and lies below -sama in level of respect. This title is not commonly used in daily conversation, but it is still used in some types of written business correspondence, as well as on certificates and awards, and in written correspondence in tea ceremonies. It is also used to indicate that the person referred to has the same (high) rank as the referrer, yet commands respect from the speaker.

4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42

But there are thousands of examples of sequels that aren't as good as the original

What are you talking about
that's so wrong
>sequels are always better
NO
NO THEY AREN'T

everybody reading this right now can think of a case where the original is better than the sequel

just because you try to "make it better than the last one" doesn't mean you succeed

>sequels are always better
think for yourself for once in your life, i'm fucking begging you

not that there's a problem with it either

Was thinking of getting red striped rims just because they're pretty and shit.

Junko's my wife, that's why. Trying to figure out what kind of an itasha I want to slap on with her.
What transmission are you using?

You're confusing the idea of what sequel is supposed to be and the actual execution of it
Nobody, and I mean literally not a single soul, goes into development of a sequel to anything with the idea to make it equal or worse than the previous thing, which you even correctly managed to asses in the last sentence, so why are you willingly making this mistake?

And you're just a fucking retard who should take his own advice first

I can confirm they look pretty good
you're clearly not afraid to look flashy so I'd say go for it

Manual, but I didn't really do any other special features or options it's very stock

FUCK MY SISTER

Attached: chris.jpg (600x300, 151K)

>You're confusing the idea of what sequel is supposed to be and the actual execution of it
Yeah I know but that's not what you said

You said sequels were automatically better and that's just not the case
We're not talking about the fucking conceptual phase of what could have been, we're talking about the finished product

Some sequels are better
Some aren't

but to say a 2nd installment in a series is automatically better just on the merit that somebody thought to make a 2nd one is retarded

That just means you're playing the game right. It's very generous of the DR games to give you all the evidence before the class trial starts, unlike AA games that deliberately withhold crucial stuff to keep you guessing longer.

Well the Sport performs really well, but features are simplistic to keep the price down. The Civic Sport Touring has all the fun gay features like heated seats, automatic windshield wipers, electric seat adjustments, etc.

Here's a better photo I just took. I'm fucking serious about Junko

The balls on you to just do this
What are you like as an actual human being?
What do people think of you for doing this?

They give me a weird look and then I never see them again. I really couldn't care less what unironic normalfags think about what I'm doing with my own god damn car.

But, if a person you've killed wrote down a message with their blood, wouldn't your first instinct be to erase it regardless of what it says?

No I mean like coworkers or family
You would have to be retarded to be driving a recent-year model on NEETbux so I assume you work

If they ask, do you explain to them who Junko is, the game she's from, and what she represents?

>"They're not numbers, they're letters!"
>"You can read it if you turn it upside down!"
>"So what does it say Makoto?"
They don't even give you a chance to figure it out on your own in the class trail. Even if you were Japanese, you would get it right away.

He may have thought actively trying to cover it up would be even more suspicious
Remember, the first thing he did was dispose of his shirt with blood on it, because he was very afraid of that being tied to him

He may also not have wanted to linger too long - I bet he forgot about Monokuma saying the rooms were sound-proof

a more intelligent person in less of a rush would have covered up the message, but Leon probably thought it wasn't important enough to risk it

despite the rule about staying in your room he could have thought he had very limited time before somebody could have spotted/heard him

Prior to the first murder, THEY DIDN'T EVEN KNOW A TRIAL WOULD OCCUR

Leon didn't know he would have to defend himself against evidence

This explains literally everything about how sloppy 1-1 was

He didn't know there'd be a trial, you just had to "get away with it" which he thought he did when nobody saw him

What the fuck do you mean you can't read it? Parts of each number are clearly visible.
There are captchas worse than this

Attached: rrrr.jpg (1920x1080, 384K)

Well, same thing kind of applies to people I know. I kind of condescendingly tell them "well why don't you buy my $25g car yourself and then I'll put whatever YOU want on it."

And, well, yeah, I have the money. I work 48+ hours a week at $25 p/hour. I've also thrown a cold-air intake with a shroud under the hood, too.

When people ask about the Junko pillow in the passenger seat, though, I jokingly tell them that it's so I can use the carpool lane.

Something that bugs the everlasting shit out of me is that sometimes I walk up and people have clearly been touching my car (fingerprints in places other than the driver door, and the shit sticks out like a sore thumb on the black paint, even walked up to my car to find the windshield wipers raised as well one time)

I also assume that Sayaka was also still dying as leon left

The comic summary at the end of the case has Leon watching her bleed out to confirm it

>tfw got the ending spoiled by a doujin

How do you deal with the fact that she would bring ultimate despair onto you by trashing your car in the most nonchalant way possible

do you love Junko enough to let her do that?

Well yeah, that too of course.

PLAY MY GAME

Attached: Mishima.png (310x334, 93K)

Why do people think that V3 making it a seasonal reality show where people are brainwashed and thrown into a death game cheapens it? It doesn't change anything. The game is still real, it still unfolds. The people don't know they're in a game. It would be awesome entertainment. I want to actually see season 7, season 23, etc etc.

to say that V3's ending ruined the series is missing the point entirely

the very existence of "Your Turn to Die" which I have not played and don't care about still proves that a hunger for Death Games is out there, and V3 leaves you wanting more and alludes to the fact that cheap imitators will try to fill the gap WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED IN OUR OWN REALITY

What's the point of Junko covering her face in the photos again? It feels forced using it as evidence to prove she's still alive. That makes no sense.

speak of the devil

I like to consider V3 just a fucking spinoff and filler.

I do feel like the ending was a massive fuck you, though. They acted like they've made 15 CODs every single fucking year well over the last decade.

She 100% wanted to be exposed
That wasn't the end of the trial anyway, she didn't foresee what would happen when she was found out

She has a habit of dangling clues and leaving herself vulnverable

Makoto and Hina could have gone into her secret hatch during the investigation, she was vulnerable sometimes

It was definitely a "fuck you" which either landed with you because you think DR had run out of steam, or felt like a jab because you wanted more and didn't think it was anywhere near done

Kodaka just didn't want to do it anymore so he transferred that into the game

They're both a kilogram

I mean, sure, but Kodaka could've done this thing called *concluding a series*, on a better note than he did.

>Makoto and Hina could have gone into her secret hatch during the investigation
NO THAT'S WRONG

MONOKUMA/JUNKO CLEARLY STATES THAT THE HATCH COULD ONLY BE OPENED FROM THE INSIDE ANYWAY, SO THEY'D HAVE JUST WASTED THEIR TIME

Attached: makoto1.png (348x374, 66K)

The guy whose entire thing is jerking you left when you think he's going right would give you a proper satisfying conclusion in the 3rd installment?

"lol, it's a prank bro" isn't really an impressive left turn

That's a gross simplification of the ending though

how I see it is that DR1 and 2 really did happen, the world was devastated by despair and the Future Foundation managed to restore things to normality. But people still craved death games, so they became a fictional thing. They became games, movies, manga, etc. until the thirst for a real-life version arose and in a dystopian future people actually willingly sign up for it and that's what V3 is - a reality-show death game that is legally justifiable and incredibly popular

This explains everything Tsumugi said and perfectly explains almost all of V3

I did but the screamer scared me away from finishing it

Ahem, are there any seesaw enthusiasts present?
