where does their unlimited money come from?
What gave you the idea that THQ Nordic has money?
Darksiders III flopped super fucking hard.
I doubt it cost much to buy them.
Friendly reminder that THQ held an AMA on 8ch (now defunct website known for being delisted off Google because of all the child abuse material), and at least one THQ executive felt perfectly comfortable responding to posts that contained drawn underage girls being groped and homophobic slurs~
they have an archive? this should be fun
>What gave you the idea that THQ Nordic has money
Nigga THQ has been acquiring studios and announcing games left and right non stop.
>implying that was wrong
>Darksiders III flopped
No it didn't. It sold more than well enough to cover 3's costs, secured Darksiders 4's development and let them make Genesis on the side.

Read up losers
sounds based
>flopped
these are not AAA games or massive studios
Darksiders 3 was made on a reasonable budget, with a small team in Texas, over a short amount of time
it made more than enough to continue their business,
not every game has to be held up to EA/Activision sales standards
they will telltale themselves
Damn, now I love them even more now. Looking forward to Destroy All Humans.
doubt it
TellTale was a single studio in one of the most expensive cities in the world, renting expensive licenses for properties that weren't as valuable as they thought
they had zero variety in the games they made, and burnt out their niche market
THQ Nordic are in a tax haven, buying complete ownership of abandoned properties for cheap
the variety of games they control means they can appeal to many different niche fanbases that have been ignored without the worry of overloading one genre
So THQ is quickly becoming the only worthwhile publisher. As long as they don't over extend and don't try to get into the AAA space with MTX than they're golden
>Bringing back Battle for Bikini Bottom and Destroy All Humans
>And post on 8ch
Thanks for letting me know how fucking based they are famborghini
I thought THQ Nordic already acquired this series? Did they sell it off and re-buy it again?
They acquired the studio
So they already had the IP, allowed a different studio to develop it and then acquired the studio? Got it.
they are only a publisher
they bought Darksiders, and hired this third party dev to make D3
they did well enough and decided to buy the studio
So?

Looks like a top tier publisher. Would solicit.
Telltale went nuts on getting licenses for big budget shit yet kept using total garbage tech to make the games. Bloated themselves due to their initial success and had absolutely no sense of scope.
Nordic is scraping the bottom of the barrel for cheap stuff to acquire and make stuff on not-retarded budgets.
The guy running it is a financial genius. At 13 he started a company making 300,000 kr ($30k) a year.

>defunct
>he doesn't know
nooo why is a rightwing nazi studio better at managing their finances than our woke studio bros!?
So much for that 8ch boycott, Resetera
Extensive catalog which is probably why they're on such acquiring spree and getting out a lot of games. You don't need heavy hitting AAAs every year if you have a backlog of games you get steady, if slowly dropping off, income from. Focus Home Interactive is also seemingly doing the same for medium sized titles, for example.
Are these fagera retards so stupid they think it won't come back?
is Mutant Year Zero any good Yea Forums?
It doesn't need to. It's still up. You just can't access it if you didn't used to use it.
Company of Heroes 1's success, many years ago.
Hell CoH1 still has half of CoH2's player base.
The ultimate newfag filter.
