My guess is next year. I think they’ll only go halfway for a return to form to the dismay of everybody, making the game feel like missed potential as it had some good qualities but they couldn’t give up the sticker shit entirely for whatever reason.

I'm not as attached to PM as I was before, the series has been going downhill since its inception. 64 is a timeless classic, TTYD and SPM are enjoyable but marred with a bunch of flaws, and you know about SS/CS already

Paper Mario sucks. Give me a Mario RPG that get this has MARIO looking like his regular self. Fuck man. I don't want Square Enix to make it. I'm not talking about Mario RPG sequel or anything like that. I mean a whole new fresh experience of a Mario RPG game. You could hire the people who made Xenoblade for Nintendo since Nintendo owns them. Or hire Camelot who made Golden Sun. The point is hire someone competent to make a decent Mario RPG game.
