Not only does Edelgard not end Crest proliferation, but she actually supports it's continued existence by discovering a new way to create artificial Crests, which she hands out to her lackeys and individuals she thinks are worthy to rule and maintain her ideals. Remember, this is a route where Edelgard doesn't kill civilians, actively lets anyone who surrenders go free, and doesn't wind up having to resort to fake crests for extra monster support or power to try and deal with the arms race that is the main character.

To add, the hibernation is not a one time thing. After the events of the game she does to sleep again in most of her endings, and only wakes up an indeterminate number of years later. Seteth settles his affairs, and then watches over her until she awakens again. Basically, she is awake for roughly a decade or two at a time, and then forced to go into centuries long hibernation once again.

Rhea in Edelgard's route gets forced into the 'bad guy' role so she goes way off the deep end, way fast.

Anyway, nemesis and crew proceed to kill all the dragons except for four survivors that became the saints in the church of seiros. Then Seiros gains enough power to kill them and save the rest of her family, at the cost of going mad because dragon+power.

She and her followers are literal gods. It's not like rl churches/etc where all you worship are false idols.

If anything, Edelgard attacking the church should've solidified that Rhea/Seiros is an actual goddess meant to be worshipped.

Edelgard isn't the bloodthirsty crazy monster woman she becomes in every other route, and instead is basically doing the standard hero-lord thing - Talking about saving as many lives as possible, letting enemies surrender, bitching about the slither boys being evil, etc. She's even got a bunch of adorable scenes trying to humanize her, which is really fucking jarring coming out of every other route but it's adorable so I'm OK with it.

Dimitri goes nuts having to carry Rhea on his back everywhere and convinces all his friends that you need to be murdered on sight because of your offenses against God despite the fact you didn't actually do all that much

Rhea literally burns down a city with all the civilians inside it because it would minorly inconvenience you while constantly talking to herself in that one hot crazy voice about traitors and kidnapping mom and stupid humans not deserving the life she grants them

Only Claude doesn't go full villain, he's basically based in every route and is the only character not to have massive fucking character changes each time.

Hell yeah I'll defend the church. They act as checks and balances to keep everyone else from going full retard. Edelgard's plan for taking over Fodlan only worked with the church out of the picture. The monastery itself also provided a neutral grounds for everyone to meet and amenities for the students to learn. The church is a good thing and should be reformed if something is wrong with it, not discarded entirely.

I feel like she has a pretty good reason in basically every instance, though. Lonato is about the only time she's sending you out for the explicit purpose of stopping "heretics" and it's because a dude who has openly opposed the church for years (without the church silencing him during that time) stepped it up to full on declaring war against the church and trying to raise an army against them. Byleth is part of the rear guard. Not being used as a weapon, just legitimately some extra tagging along for experience.

Byleth's name will be cleared and be given the moniker 'The Ending' for finally ending the animosity on Fodlan as they finally decided to become the new united Fodlan nation along with the ex-Slitherers.

Because given how the church route is literally 99% of the same missions as GD and deals with the Slitherers, Edelgard's route was most likely taken apart and split into two to make Rhea less evil so she can tell her side of the story.

I used gauntlets because they were fucking broken. Aside from that, each character's growths obviously predisposes them towards a particular class and their strengths go along with that. Assassin petra is fucked and using a lance on her is dumb.

Academy and War are the ingame terms for pre and post timeskip. I know what it does, it switches the models out for the older/younger versions of characters.
