Any of these worthwhile?
Gas the Drones
Gorsky a shit
Gimme a Roy Batty build.
I was thinking:
8 STR
8 CON
8 DEX
low-ish everything else
focus:
melee
intimidation
...
no armor
Body horror is so shit for a psi user. Which is a bummer because it feels like the best way to resolve the quest.
>want to deconstruct an item for some parts
>only get back 90% of its item level
GEE THANKS
HEY BROS is there any way to join the Free Drones if i return the train to RAIL CROSSING?
clothier because leathers usually are low quality, not sure how it works with infused leather
Dilate
why is it shit for a psi user? Why do you keep pushing this nonsense? With LoC psi users don't give a fuck about it.
So, how hard is it to genocide ALL slavs on dominating?
philosophy negates it right
Because it provides no upside. It can only provide downsides. What if LoC is on cooldown?
exactly, it's only good for attachments as far as I can tell, maybe midgame when you don't have good shit and your build is relying on crafting
why are you in a situation where you need second LoC? you're pretty retarded if you find yourself in situation like that.
Reminder;
If you haven't changed the expedition theme in the main menu back to the OG theme you are a tasteless faggot.
So I'm stuck in Evelyn's bunker and cannot find any way to escape. I don't have hacking, I'm not an unarmed character, and my lockpicking is 5 points too low to unlock the weapons locker. How in the fuck do I get out? Am I just trapped down here forever?
depends on your build, there are plenty of builds that don't have much of a problem because the place is full of chokepoints
ok nevermind i got her with the zappy floor.
I found it pretty fuckin tough, and I've just only cleared the upper level, took at least 2-3 resets. The main level with all the spec ops and doberman would be fucking hellish
I like how basically the entire Dude's quest, all the dialogs, all the cinematics/shortcuts are basically a cartoon comedy
>Player brings back the mineral oil to Dude
>Magic potion is finished and both drink with giving an outloud 'Cheer!'
>Bottoms up
>It tastes beyond fucking shit, hard to drink it
'...'
>'Feeling anything?'
'I don't feel my face, Dude'
>'Then it's working!'
>Then out the sudden, 10 soviet-nazis bust open the door screaming intelligible bastardized slavic language
>About to turn both Dude and Player into Swiss Cheese
>Cue both Player and Dude screaming in panic, Player jumping on Dude's arms Scooby Doo style (bonus points if Player is a tin can)
>They get teleported right before a storm of bullets reach them
iirc the brainlet failsafe solution to that quest if all else fails is to get near that fenced off power grid place with an electrified floor, open the fence to it, turn off the power with the switch right next to it, wait for evelyn to enter it and then flip the switch back on to zap her. you *might* need lockpicking for this but i'm 99% sure you don't because i usually did this when i absolutely couldn't do anything else.
>Mars
Now I finally know
Nice name and portrait by the way
Stop using Though Control
>not being a time control god
>Beetle could just close his brain case and bite me to death because I don't actually do much damage to him
>Lets me whittle him down
I guess they aren't THAT smart.
Is a crossbow/trapper build viable on dominating? If so, is this a good stat distribution
>STR: 3
>DEX 7
>AGI 7
>PER 10 -> 16 + 2
>CON 3
>WILL 3
>INT 7
Based
janny tranny janny you can never have a fanny oh no no no no no
bingo bongo mongo you can mutilate your dongo but you ain't a ho
don't want your fake tits, man hands, adam's apple, open wound, let me be clear
that no matter how you slice it
you're a man, queer
are you taking crafting feats? if you are not then 7 int might not be necessary
Psycho-temporal dilate
not him but you absolutely want the xbow crafting feat (bowyer)
>tj combo
respectable larp
>are you taking crafting feats?
Yeah, although only Bowyer. I don't know how worth the other ones are
i've heard that hypertoxicity is very useful for crossbow builds when it comes to fighting heavily armoured enemies. doubly so when considering the hyper-inflated boss hp on dominating.
If you use Kneecap Shot with a shotgun does the debuff apply to every enemy it hits?
Is it normal behavior for pirate jet skis to just keep respawning every couple minutes in H1? It's especially weird cause I've killed every single pirate in the camp where they're supposedly coming from.
okay i'm done. So many quests are absolutelly unfullfilling. The game is so fucking cool and could have so much more content than it has. The leveling and weapons and crafting is perfect in this game. It's just idk. There could be so many more quests. FUCK i want to make my own game like this. FOCUS on rpg and larp elements but have crafting and stuff like underrail. damn i just wish Styg hired me to do quests or whatever ..... TOO bad he's in Serbia and will only hire Serbians cuz noone would move to Serbia just to make Indie game FUCK. Okay i gotta steal ideas from him then i guess. And make my own game ...
Where do you get plasma turrets for the base defense?
the scene with the cats is also comedy gold
can already imagine it
>Player goes in
>expects something dangerous
>gets startled by a sudden noise
oh, it's just a cat, you scared me for a sec little fella
>bunch of other cats show up
>stare at Player, suddenly their eyes grow red
>fade to black as you hear a loud angry meow and laser sounds
>Player emerges from door, completely singed and holes all over his armor
Laser Cats
that's probably a bug
>larp elements
bro are you okay?
i was able to enable the turrets (which are already there, just dormant) by going into the lemurian building on the aegis sec island and hacking a terminal.
Same with the mutants in his one house
>fade to black as you hear a loud angry meow and laser sounds
A hard cut to Dude just chilling outside the door would be better.
>FOCUS on rpg and larp elements
Okay is this some new thing where people act retarded on purpose or are you the same guy who insists on calling roleplaying larping?
Don't give a fuck about why you're retarded just trying to make sure there's only one of you.
Also you type like a bitch.
that door open and close is some genuine Scooby-doo shit
actually laughed irl at that scene, fuck i love the dude
tfw i killed the lady at his first house in my recent playthrough and he got all sad and dissapointed in me
i just wanted to save the charons dude i'm sorry
doesn't work with infused leathers
what? People regularly use larping as in roleplaying. It's the first time i used it but i see it all over Yea Forums. Why are you so butthurt about it clown?
This
No, only the one you target.
>Try the music puzzle
>Start copying down everything I think I need into notepad
>Takes so long spiders respawn and kill me
>Turns out I didn't need any of that shit
Because you used it very incorrectly.
that said it's still worth it as the damage is calculated from the entire hit, all pellets included so it becomes quite significant
How did you enable the 2 of them? only 1 is active on my game
larp stands for LIVE ACTION role playing
as in, in real life
you can't larp in a video game
There any way to repair the naga protector? Thing got chunked for about 75% of its health in one invasion.
>u mad cuz i dumb
Stop misusing words. Stop abusing ellipsis. Stop posting in general.
nope, it dies it's gone
avenge the naga, genocide the natives
how about you kys nigger. I do what i want. I poopoo on yo head wheneva i feel like it.
This seems to happen a lot which is odd considering most of them hit it for 0 damage.
Fucken sword dudes.
FUCK.... i should make my own language wheare I can larp however I want............................................................
the funniest part was telling dude
>so, whats next plasma dogs?
>NOOOOOOO YOU CAN'T DOOOO WAHT I DON'T LIKEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>SOMEBODY CALL JANNIES QUICK THIS GUY IS DOING THE BIG NONO
i bet you report people who disagree with you you dumb redditor
It's because the naga's plasma attack can damage itself, so if it gets surrounded then it'll just fry itself
How can parents still leave their children unattended on computers in 2019?
some of the melee dudes can hit it for 70+ easily
oh and if one of the acid spitters show up they can deal 300 in one blow which is a third of it's total health, from range
kill those fuckers
and last but not least: it can and will hit itself with it's plasma bolt attack and it will deal significant damage
Damn, I was hoping to shit on whole groups of enemies and get their MP down to nothing but I guess that's what caltrops are for.
FUCK .... I don't GIVE A FUCK you larper .....
what does apply to all hit instead of just primary target is the daze/stun from tungsten rounds
works best with burst shotguns
*laughs out of time*
Impales from spear users, sledgehammer guys and the rare crit from crossbow men add up fast. And yeah, it hitting itself is dumb.
Can you apply a ton of stacks, then stasis them, then apply more while they are in stasis?
is it wise to max throwing for netting bitches?
how do I get in to nexus of technology?
Alright. Should I play dex spear, strength hoplite spear, or shotguns? I need you kids to decide.
yup
some sword dudes can do a lot of damage, but it doesn't matter, the naga will kill itself if it has enemies in melee range it will shoot at his feets and do a lot of damage to himself
where the fuck is my jet ski, I went to negotiate with the pirates and now it's gone.
there's a route through the Basalt caves I believe
Shotguns. That's what I'm gonna be doing next I think.
how does this game compare to say icewind dale or diablo? qrd?
that's how you apply a ton of stacks in the first place, if you want max stacks without too much preparation the combo should go, mental breakdown + stasis + contraction + all the distorsions you can place for 2 turns, then adrenaline + all the distortions you can stack for other 2 turns, i think i was able to get to 22 distortions, but with some preparation you might be able to get more
Thanks, I'll try that
>tfw my sniper rifle does pitiful damage against psi crabs and strongmen and my TC/psychokinesis is basically useless as well
This expansion is going to be great
this is nothing like diablo, diablo is an arpg, this is a rpg, its something like icewind dale but it doesn't follow dnd rules
fallout with more enemies weapon types and ways to approach combat, basically fallout with a bigger toolbox, more math, cooldowns
acid blob pistol, he doesn't have a burst ar loling
thank you sir, i couldnt get a feel for how the game played, gonna grab it now.
how is it possible for your sniper to not deal adequate damage with W2C rounds
and no quests that require some useless item that you don't really carry with you all the time. Also not as much dicksucking to non combat skill. Underrail is a tough place, you need combat skills to survive.
flashbang can incapacitate like 10 people at once, yea throwing is pretty good
>Since both Dude and Player shared a few drinks together, the papers have turn over
>Now Dude is the voice of reason while Player is the drunk comic relief
>Reach second Dude's home at Core City
>Dude's, focused as a lazer, inspects the whole house
>Player enters the house with a wobbly walk, cue a 'drunk' trumpet as background musical instrument
>Turns out they need to crack a code to reach whatever Dude needs
>Player tries to solve the puzzle, he ceases pressing random buttons, realizing it's useless
>A spark of determination appears on Player's face
>Downs the remaining of the brew in a single chug, throws it aside
>*Angry cat noises*
'O-open the doooor Dude, I can taek on dhem' Player says as he swings his fists like a cartoon
>Dude tries to reason with the inebriated man, but to no avail
>'Fine dude, but you're getting yourself killed, I will be waiting outside if you need me'
'Yeeeeessshhhh I'm... ready, let them cooome'
>Player assuming a battle stance, holding his hammer upside down
>Dude opens the door and quickly books it to the exit, and closes it
'Raaaaaaaaaah!'
>The terrifying yells of the 3 mutants could be heard, intimidating Dude
*Thud*
*Bam*
*Pow*
*Whap*
*Cue glass objects breaking and tables violently turning*
*Bang*
*Thud*
*Crack*
>...
>Silence for several seconds
*Random glass object shattering*
>Silence again
>'Hey man, you okay?' Dude says as he slowly opens the door
>To surprise his, he finds Player good and sound, over a dead mutant, repeatedly slapping it, shaking it by it's collar
'W-where'sh my money! My lunsh money! Gib it back you bully!'
>'And I though I saw it all' Dude said to himself
lol
if you plan on using throwing nets into the late game yeah, otherwise you'll only be able to reliably net low evasion targets toward end game. flashbang/taser before netting is an option too though if you don't.
So what shady shit is Ezra doing while you're running the caves?
>classic
dumping other new SGS recruits into the mushroom cave lakes
>hobomode
I'll be using them once I finish up at the West Storage Depot. I didn't know what to expect going into it so I only have normal rounds.
Putting the saying 'How many rookies does it take to kill a psi bettle' to the test
ezra a good boy, he dindu nothin
He literally made Depot A the hellhole it is today.
Consider the following: If the mutagen canisters were made to look like batteries with psionic illusions, how do you know the seller looking like Ezra was not also an illusion?
That was a doppelganger.
"thank you for the free loot and oddity xp mr. ezra"
he already said it wasn't him, what more do you want?
you can just as easily say that Volvin did it and Ezra just went along with it.
Volvin was associated with approving awful experiments, Ezra was associated with horrible self-experimentation.
Bull-fucking-shit.
How did the psyker know his appearance? Why did he have mutagens? Why use his appearance specifically?
So I'm running a Hard - Energy Pistol build rn, should I take Rapid Fire to use with a .44 Hammerer or is it not worth the feat?
>In addition to being often accused of running unconsented human experiments
It was all in the name of science, completely justified
lies and slander
Does anything even survive 10 stacks of distortion? Why 22?
do rapid fire and point shot not work with energy pistols?
an example must be made.
do lockpick and hacking checks get higher on dominating?
Ezra tries to warp you to a psi beetle island without asking if you so much as ask him to teach you psi.
I think it used to but Styg nerfs everything that isn't Psi so it doesn't anymore.
only the strong survive bre
and he doesn't try, he succeeds
he does that if you try to overpower him, otherwise you just get your free power
point shot works and has always worked with energy and chemical pistols
rapid fire doesn't and has never worked with energy and chemical pistols
No, he warps you if your will isn't strong enough to temporarily break his control, or if you try to control him fully after breaking his initial control after passing the will check.
>How did the psyker know his appearance?
The technocrats were pretty famous.
Unrelated but it's pretty fucking stupid that everyone uses 40k terminology for this game.
technocrat isn't a word coined by 40k you mong bean
eh, on dominating some bosses can survive around 10 but its very rare, but if you can then why wouldn't you, i don't just want to distort them, i want to erase them from fucking existence
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technocracy
dumbass
I'm referring to psyker you stupid fucks.
at this point only 1 needed to go through
Can't a man take a leak in peace around here?!
>laugh track
Who's saying that? Is it you, or is it Ezra saying it?
psyker isn't used once in this game you fucking idiot, the lore-appropriate term is psion or psionic. people just call them psykers on Yea Forums because the term fits.
Tin can or light armor?
aren't the only ones called psyker's psychopaths?
Sell me on this game. Looks interesting.
lunatic psychopath =/= psyker
its fallout 1/2 but with less social shit and more combat and set entirely underground
shit, you're right.
coulda sworn there was a Lunatic Psyker
That's my whole fucking point you absolute retard. Jesus Christ.
Trying to genocide these savages, just got netted 10 turns in a row.
Couldn't take a single fucking step.
So I ran out of juice and I forgot where the fuck dude's cave house is, someone please tell me.
you said psyker you mong, and besides, psion and psionic aren't from 40k either
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psionics_(role-playing_games)
yeah, it sucks
you have to keep your distance or have a reliable means of ranged damage
or be evasive and have escape artist
east of foundry, go north to powerfist dungeon
down into the caves, one map south
you LITERALLY said in your post that you were talking about the word psyker. psyker is not used in underrail at any point.
psion is not a word invented by 40k, before you try to move the goalposts and pretend you wern't talking about that
you are an absolute fucking retard
I've been telling people on here that 120 effective throwing is max accuracy at max distance with grenades, but I think darkness is a factor because I keep getting less than 90%
Do you want to become a cave wizard?
>these quiproquos
Ezra, stops shitposting over TCP/IP.
Psyker originates from 40k. Go back and actually read it this time, slowly if you need to.
>it's pretty fucking stupid that everyone uses 40k terminology for this game.
This isn't just a failure at understanding basic grammar, this is pure grade A retardation.
you can punch things with your mind and become a mighty muscle wizzard
>first time playing through
>didnt know what mentors were and sold the ones I came across
>invested in TM later on
>just now learned what they are
How fucked am I? Are the TM mentors all in expedition? Do merchants sell them?
They don't though, they use psionic or psi. It's only on Yea Forums that psker gets thrown in interchangeably with those.
Instead of getting butthurt and screeching about 40k, maybe you should just play the game. Then you could see what they actually say.
room temperature iq attempt at moving the goal posts, please stop
honestly embarrassing, its an anonymous forum you can just stop responding when you get btfo its ok
I'M IN
What kind of shotgun should I be using to maximum murder?
>It's only on Yea Forums that psker gets thrown in interchangeably with those.
Literally what I complained about. Why is that so hard to understand?
>tfw your a hordelet
go back to the vendors you sold them to, pretty sure they can be random loot as well
I actually just realized I could tell which grid it is by the little rift in it. Interesting.
did you buy out all the metal in foundary? what the fuck
You complained about technocrat, then switched to bitching about psker. and besides that, who fucking cares if people call them psykers?
just stop responding to it you fucking kids goddamn
how do I enter joint security hq, I have c4 clearance.
did you implant the chip into your hand?
Planning a BIG DICK hammer build, is there any point to YELL if I'm going to have no dodge/evasion? Would the reduction in their skill coupled with my HEAVY ARMOR negate their damage?
I have the implanter device, but where do I get the chip?
>I have the implanter device
You're carrying the furniture around with you?
nope, just my SGS locker :^)
it's the chip in Phil's hand. you can remove it from him in the health center I think
Was the MRI machine in the health center used for anything? I remember fixing some power box to turn it on, but I never found a use for it.
>UNRELATED but it's pretty fucking stupid that everyone uses 40k terminology for this game.
I put the part you missed in caps for your dummy brain to understand better. :)
it would lower their damage, but probably not by any worthwhile amount
It slows you down if you're wearing metal, and it perma stuns any strongman that walk in front of it
It can fuck up robots.
are you larping as a retard right now or is this the real you (both user and IRL you)?
it stops the robots in the area, so if you killed everything is pretty useless
Which of the following shield emitters is the best for my tincan
>Shield 1
925 capacity, 10 conversion, 10% depletion
shielding: 11/35/66/96/128 (Vlow/low/med/high/Vhigh)
>Shield 2
660 capacity, 10 conversion, 10% depletion
shielding: 6/18/75/111/146
>Shield 3
425 capacity, 5 conversion, 10% depletion
shielding: 7/21/88/130/166
Basically it boils down to whether it is best to have a shield with high capacity or with high shielding (Being a tincan i don't care much for low-speed attacks, which are either weak or already bypass shields)
What's the game plan if I go pure throwing? Get as many poison stacks on an enemy as I can in one turn and then stealth and run away while the dot kills them?
oooooohhhhh fuck, thats pretty neat. I'd wiped out the strongmen before fucking with it so i never realised.
shield 1
The answer is always double low efficient.
1
Very high frecuency shield to absorb asswhopping amounts of plasma damage and sniper shots
Low caliber gunshots and melee are absorbed by your mechanical resistances and completely bypasses shields
Disregard low frecuency retards
t. tin can
just go hammer dodge evasion, bodyweight training, nimble, heavy leather like bison, temporal, sprint
best of both worlds then intimidate and yell would actually synergies with your build
infused bison is 24 armor penalty with 41 DR +1 constitution, with morphine aegis dodge, yell, evasion, that's like 100 percent resist, just get a good energy shield
so tired of all these basic bitch tin cans, you can have the best of both worlds, and you actually have movement points
War 2 craft rounds?
i love the detail in this game. can you interract with all that stuff on the shelves, or those computers? that would be so cool
>handholddity
Is it a bitch move to fight things even if you don't gain much from it? I've looted everything of worth in the big mutant dog pack area of Depot A and don't particularly want to fight them.
meant to say "to not fight things"
pool's closed
fuck off
imagine cucking yourself with oddity
no, that's why oddity mode exists, you don't need to fight almost anything if you want, enemies do drop some oddities but once you get them you can just avoid them if you want
rapid hornet with a huzar 9mm for commando porccs :^))
I forgot to mention temporal also has an ability that adds a flat percentage to your chance to dodge, like 20 percent at 200
be creative
>enemies do drop some oddities
>TFW 70 hours into the game and only just discovered that cave hoppers drop one.
Yell is useful is you dont plan to go for Psychokinesis, besides reducing the abilities of all enemies on the whole fucking screen, it will also unstealth hidden enemies intimidated by your yell, useful against knifefags and crawlers
>just go hammer dodge evasion
Unwise.
underrail.com
Armor penalty is an important property of all armors. It reduces your Dodge, Evasion, Stealth skills and Movement Points by a percentage.
>It reduces your Dodge, Evasion, Stealth
anybody have that psi monk build picture? something about using the claw and it had an example armor as well.
Borers as well
Power Fist is better if you dont plan to rely on 'Taste for Blood' and 'Vile weaponry'
nimble bodyweight training, armor sloping, you can negative upwards of 40 percent of your armor penalty if you actually read what the feats did you would know that
you would also know that yell synergizes with dodge, evasion, high strength synergizes with bodyweight training, use your brain
Who could be behind this one
This might be it I dunno, I have a bunch of pics of builds saved.
Seems a little strange to plan a build incorporating a feat you can't get until level 26. I mean the game is basically over by the time you can fully negate your armor penalty?
You dont have a problem with crossbows?
40% AP is still rather a conciderable penalty still even after all AP reducing feats.
I personally see no point of it, 40% reduction of your dodge/evasion/MP is still quite significant.
With a metal armor you sacrifice mobility for protection, Sprint existest for added mobility, going Dodge is a waste of useful points.
how the fuck do i enter the western room beneath port crag?
what's up with all these stuns man
get mindpunched into a stun
then kicked in the balls for two turn stun
and then hit with a tazer bolt for a stun
i can't even fucking move what the fuck
>Tin can in dominating
>Craft myself a +100 quality Tungsten metal set
>10 CON, Conditioning, Stoicism, heavy lifting belt, Juggernauth
>Every Crossbow bolt deals 10 damage out of my 500 HP
>Thick skull for electro bolts
>Fast metabolism
Yeah, not really.
The only real issue are critical sniper shots and plasma, which thankfully high frecuency shields excells at covering
it doesn't need to be at exactly 0, yell can make up for that, it lowers combat skills making dodge and evasion more effective, it also lowers damage
temporal gives you haste and a flat additive increase to your dodge and evasion, 6 percent at 60 points up to 20 at 200, combine that with nimble siphoners you're essentially unhittable
it's viable but no one is creative enough to try it
I'm doing that exact thing on a burst ar build minus bodyweight training, and armor sloping
with bodyweight training and armor sloping you could take heavier armors which synergizes with your high strength from sledgehammer build
>No evasion and very little dodge
Are those skills noob traps? I'm a bit of a brainlet. Not the user that orginally asked, just for the record.
stun them before they stun you
Is stoicism actually useful at all? It seems worthless.
>DOMINATING
>doing dudes quest
>have the oil
>just need to get from one side of the first map back to dude
>already aggrod everyone on the fucking planet
you're my hero jack
>force field goes down at the end of your turn instead of the start of it
god i fucking hate it when that happens
In normal, very helpful
In DOMINATING, debatable at best, I'd not blame you for not taking it.
Stoicism is useful when you're slowly getting chipped away by for example armor piercing rounds, plasma or big melee damage
You cast Force Field right before you end your turn, get the attention of the enemy first, by initiating first
t. hammer wizard
you don't understand what I said, those feats will reduce your armor penalty by up to 40 percent, you can run unreinforced super steel at 2 percent armor penalty and still have dodge and evasion, with the yell buff, with the temporal buff, meaning you can wear good armor and have good dodge
you can run infused bison with 41 dr with 0 armor penalty and still have a fuckton of movement and action points with temporal, this all synergizes with yell which lowers your opponents combat skills effectively buffing your dodge and evasion higher, and even if someone hits you you have morphine, aegis, high constitution, and a fuckton more action and movement points, while having near unhittable dodge and evasion, and almost 100 percent mech resistance, energy shield takes care of plasma and electricity
>95% to land Flurry
>MISS
Don't worry, I'm the guy who posted the original question and I got what you are saying, it sounds like a really interesting way to play a hammer guy. Dunno what's wrong with user's head.
it took me like three full hours, but i finally beat the gray army segment of the Dudes quest on DOMINATING
fucking hell, that was something else
and i didn't even fully clear out the main section of the base
In retrospect, I don't know why I assumed bear traps and throwing nets wouldn't work on robots.
because they don't have legs presumably
Fair enough, I guess, but still I'm unconvinced.
>you can run unreinforced super steel
Super steel still has some 'meh' mechanical resistances compared to Tungsten, besides having to burn 3000 charons for it.
You can try, certainly, but personally I don't see much of a point.
Worth noticing I have played as a tin can for 3 gamethroughs and I supposed I'm used to it, so whatever.
I went back to Grey Army Base to collect loot and the juice ran out and I don't have more, am I stuck here forever?
so uh
what happens if you dont have any juice and youre second sight debuff runs out while you're in the gray army base?
ASKING FOR A FRIEND
with lower armor penalty you get more movement points, you can get temporal, sprint, adrenaline
adrenaline, low armor penalty, yell, high dodge and nimble, temporal dodge, bodyweight training means you can wear 40 plus DR armor, with morphine you get to 100 percent resist, you're almost unhittable, and you have a fuckton of movement and action points on top of it
You're typically better off investing those points into crafting and making awesome armor and shields instead of hoping for dodge and evasion to proc.
answer me
unless you actually use things that buff dodge and evasion
>61 points to go from lvl 25 to 26
where the fuck am i supposed to get all those oddities
Hm.
There's one hard point, however, that I will concede defeat to you.
With such low AP, you can get 7 dexterity and get 'Escape artist', which is a huge boon for any tin can
Getting 'nam flashbacks of all these mutant dog and Tchort acid entanglements
plz respond
Why poison them when you can blow them up or set them on fire? Unless for some reason you're omitting grenades from your build.
>eat shit in depot a
>think about just running away with the armadillo parts
>go get a siphoner suit despite being a tac vest build
>use fences and other obstacles to my advantage
>killed the big mutants to stop them from opening the gate
>i actually survived
>mfw i actually got good
You have much to learn in the ways of the rails, zoner.
gotta reload a save
grenades are good, get forcefield and force user, grenades are like psi, op aoe
I haven't beaten the game yet, but at level 24 many problems have been solved by grenades
Good job Jack
Where you headin' now?
literally me but
>that quest were you have to save the girl from the fucking bug nest
please send help why the fuck are these shits so fast fucking bulky and ranged
yeah, once you figure out molotovs you'll truly be an elite gamer
molotov, and then when you think you're good, throw another molotov, bring 20 molotovs, I carried 30 molotovs early game, now I carry 25
I always found it weird that people just say to use molotovs in reference to depot A, when the most dangerous things there are the mutants, plasma turrets, and plasma sentries. All of which are immune to fear.
>hard fought slog of a native invasion
>mopping up the last few
>spearman near an aegis soldier
>without thinking put a 20p in his direction
>single pellet hits the the soldier
>aegis goes hostile
Styg you slav fuck
Mutants aren't immune to fear, also there's no plasma turrets or plasma sentries in depot A. The fuck you talking about?
>also there's no plasma turrets or plasma sentries in depot A. The fuck you talking about?
>he doesn't know
ooohhh ho ho ho ho
molotovs are exceptionally useful in depot A, even on DOM, due to how many of the enemies are melee.
Not omitting, but is there a proper way to do things with throwing knives as more of a main weapon for when grenades are on cooldown ot just when you don't want to use them because knives have some fun feats? They don't pack enough of a punch without hypertoxicity, but then they just seem kind of slow to actually deal damage since it's all dot. All I can really think of is coupling it with sure step and caltops and just running around in circles after popping a few poison stacks on.
POST YOUR MUSIC PUZZLES HERE AND I'LL SOLVE THEM NIGGERS
I forgot that shit is different on normal, but I am 100% certain that mutants are immune to fear.
Gonna rove around and murder bandits in the Underpassage so I can get a quick way to Core City.
>Food is more expensive than grenades
Bros.. I just want my sandwiches..
Have you done some dumpster diving at Foundry and Core City? Loads of free Oddities laying around
Also Borers drop oddities
>you hear a faint sobbing...
yep fucking retarded game design, yet I murder my arena teammates in cold blood and get no reaction from them
I fucking shot an smg burst and one bullet hit that stupid turret, did no damage, yet everyone turned on me
You're 100% wrong.
no idea, I would probably avoid that as much as possible and focus on forcefields and grenades
I've honestly never used throwing knives so I don't know how they work
>friendly fire not good?!?!
who let the retard cage unlocked?
I'll probably raid the ones at Core City when I go to dump all my guns at the merchant but after that and the underpassage I'll just do the entirety of Foundry in one go just to get it over with and make the Faceless love me.
The wiki even backs me up.
What's the mercantile check for the store at the Aegis camp?
an accident makes it perfectly reasonable to kill the most productive member of your expedition, sounds retarded to me
the little mutants with guns and weapons and shit aren't immune to fear, but the big ones that smacc you with their hands and spray acid are.
Yeah, I confused muties and mutants. My bad.
nice edit
you're the one stupid enough to shoot your allies first
>single pellet that doesnt even get past an aegis soldier's armor causes the entire faction to go hostile
Who did leave it unlocked
Where's your octave keys?
I didn't shoot my allies they got in the way of my bursts
maybe help me kill the tribals and I'll spare your life aegis shill
Well what about stealth? I haven't used it much. How reliable is restealthing in combat?
Like 10-15. I was able to pass it with zero base points and just the effective skill boost from Will.
you would have to create a lot of distance , I generally just wipe everything I possibly can, but I'm sure it can be viable
could work well with throwing knives but I never use them, all of my weapons are loud
>bursting without any regard of allies
yep you deserve a bullet to the head
Does Alfa Squad have any function in the DLC?
What's this music puzzle shit
I'm not sure now. Hypertoxicity seems like fun, but it's starting to sound like just going full SMG commando with spec ops sounds like a better throwing build.
bursting at an enemy and one round hits a turret for 0 damage, I don't think you understand the meaning of harm
there is no justifying being a retard and accidentally shooting your teammates. whine like a bitch all you want but styg will never cave to retards like you.
so my only experience with psi is the free adrenaline
but throwing
throwing seems to carry every single one of my builds
is throwing as good as psi if not better
Throwing is alright but you only really need like 50 points in it
it would be but it seems almost anything is possible in this game if you prepare for it
I killed the entire tribal village in the expansion with 20 gas grenades 20 molotovs, and forcefields, my ar broke before the most difficult sections, and I essentially killed 40 dudes with only grenades and force fields
grenades are great, yeah
but psi has such an absurd variety of things it can do that comparing the two directly is a bit unfair.
throwing certainly requires less investment though, palming a mk3 plasma grenade into a pack of natives only requires that you have that grenade and some small amount of skill to ensure you dont drop it on your head
a turret is not a teammate it's an inanimate object, learn what a being is before you speak again swine
Meanwhile any ally with an smg will gladly try to burst an enemy while standing right behind you. At least styg could make a visual cone for burst firing and shotguns so I dont have to reload a 15 minute fight because I clipped some ally who's better off dead to make repair kits from anyway
If you show the acorn to Ezra can you just ask him about it and *not* hand it over?
Is the Telekinetic Proxy trait that makes it daze when moving worth it? My standard turn is spear stab 2x and move the proxy.
>suddenly it's a turret instead of a soldier
look at this fucking RETARD try to backpedal lol!
keep bitching i won't read it
thoughts on this chart fellow underrail chads?
yea throwing does alot of what psi does for 90 points into it, it also does alot of things psi can't do, even psi uses throwing
>even psi uses throwing
No we don't.
>shotguns get added
>no one-handed sawed off shotgun that has minimal range but counts as a light weapon
styg let me be max you slav fuck
I did that just to pissed you off, I'm the user that had a stray smg bullet hit a turret for no damage, the other user had a shotgun pellet hit a teammate for 0 damage, learn reading comprehension, aegis shill
good psi does* my mistake
my thoughts are that the person who made it got filtered hard
A good psi build will never put points into throwing, ever. There's no need.
you get dicked by robots then huh
what happens when your big boy powers are on cooldown, throwing does alot of shit psi can do for less ap and no psi cost, if you aren't using them you're playing inefficiently, but I guess that's the reason people play psi, they don't have to play well
I mostly agree that you don't need to actually put points into it, but good psi players will still use EMP grenades. I absolutely would've been fucked in that University robot hell quest on dominating without a stack of Mk3 emp grenades.
Thankfully even with 0 skill in throwing, if you target the square an enemy is standing on with a grenade, they will always be hit by it (even if its just the very tail end.)
>tfw DT is high enough to deflect crawler stings
Underrail should be right where Super Meat Boy is. Also "not fun" is a retarded category since the Y value being "playability" doesn't mean if it a game is fun or not. A game about standing in a gray room could have the most fluid controls and stable framerate there is and therefore be highly "playable" but still be as fun as burning yourself with hot wax.
I've never really used chemical pistols before. How fun are they? On paper, they seem a bit weak. Do the normal pistol feats work with them?
>Get jet ski
>holocaust the natives
Fuck those spear chuckers
There is one but you'd have to be pretty dumb to think it'd count as a light weapon.
TIN CAN CHADS RISE UP
yea cooked shot is an aoe shot like a grenade that can entangle everyone, acid is only resisted by like 3 enemies in the whole game, really consistent damage type, synergizes really well with incendiary grenades, and guess what you can entangle people in the fire, add gas grenades and you'll kill armies of non resistant enemies
>throwing does alot of shit psi can do for less ap
Demonstrably false.
With the addition of time fuckery I've been able to ignore EMP grenades entirely.
Caltrops are so fucking good holy shit
they are very strong and a lot of fun
if you get a good incendiary one you can deal a shit ton of dot damage and just walk away while they die trying to run back to you
freeze ones can be good for just taking people out of fights for a couple turns if you have to deal with a lot of guys
acid is just really good in general and you will end up using it a lot at the end of the game so bring a lot of vials
read the feats if they say firearms explicitly they do not work with chem pistols
plz respond
So I have two questions as a totally new player.
First, is a sniper a good and viable choice for a first playthrough? Second, I didn't put anything in Psi, do I take the pill, or am I a heretic for not going with any Psi?
emps are a useful tool, you are playing suboptimally if you never use them, gas grenades, flashbangs, your powers will be on cooldown at some point
whats alfa squad? doesn't ring a bell
im gun-psi
But they aren't. LTE sees to that, and Electrokinesis doesn't have a CD.
Sounds to me like you play poorly and rely on grenades to make up for your mistakes which a good psi player never has to do.
psi has useful abilities for any playstyle, snipers are good and psi works well with them
if you're playing on normal it's fine to not use psi, but you'll probably want throwing as a backup
sniper is fine but it's going to take quite a while until you can find one
>massive 44 magnum handgun counts as one
>equivalent of kyle katarn's blaster counts as one
>massive war crime pistol counts as one
>3 to 4 lb sawned off double barrel wouldn't count as one
Well that sounds delightful. I'm assuming mad chemist is a must since they're harder to buy and find?
And at that point since that's 7 int anyway, would doubling up with energy pistols with high-technicalities be fun too?
Pistols and shotguns aren't the same. Shocking.
I'm on a first playthrough and play gun psi, throwing one emp and stunning 5 robots for 15 ap is more efficient than any other method, it also completely eliminates their shields
I haven't even played on higher difficulties but I can bet anything on the fact that it would be thousands of times more true on hard and dominating
8166
It was fucking me up because of the asterisks. Are you playing on hard?
thanks bro
yes Hard
Nope. Haven't seen or heard them do anything. They were also on standby.
>for 15 ap
This is the problem with throwing around words like optimal: no one is going to agree on what it means.
Obviously what you're doing has little bearing anyway since I'm strictly talking pure psi characters.
It could be a unique that would take advantage of being a one handed weapon. Its like how no AR can be 5mm but the N16 is since its a unique. Styg has even put in uniques with their own special attacks so it probably wouldn't be difficult.
Unarmed fighter, what's my option for dealing with high threshold enemies? Shock/Pneumatic gloves?
yea chem energy pistols is really strong, if you want to min max it go ahead
yes get all the chem pistol feats you can
point shot can be useful at times as well
you should be crafting them too they get extremely strong with good components
I went with energy pistols and chem pistols for my first run through the game on normal and it was fine
people in these threads told me it was bad after i posted about it though
Expose Weakness.
expose weakness
expose weakness and pneumatic/shock gloves yeah.
if you're STR based or even just have more than 3 STR the power fist is a really good option because it has both
what psi ability stuns and disables robots for 2 turns while taking out their shields, and only costs 15 ap, from my understanding their isn't one, it's the most efficient method psi has for dealing with groups of robots with energy shields
Shouldn't Ezra always be able to attack before you do since he can read your mind and know if you're about to attack him?
Alright, I'll fuck around a bit with the build, but I think that's what I'll do then. Mad scientist type with chem/energy pistols and grenades seems like a blast. Gonna be tight on feats though. I'll have to see how I actually end up playing.
thought control isn't literally mind reading
It doesn't matter. I could easily argue that throwing a grenade is inefficient because it uses a finite resource and takes unnecessary skill investment.
I've never once had an issue with robots as pure psi and don't even bother to carry around flashbangs and EMP anymore.
this is not a pistol
based on combat effectiveness it's the most efficient method you have for dealing with a group of robots, I'm sure you don't absolutely need it, but it's still your strongest move in an opening turn, and it's only a few pounds in your inventory
>based on combat effectiveness it's the most efficient method
Again, everyone is going to have their own interpretation of what it means to be efficient or optimal.
>finite resource
Stores restock you know
Trying to genocide these natives, but damn its burning a hole in my wallet.
They give no loot to sell and I gotta spend a bunch on shells and repair kits.
And what do you use at stores user?
What the fuck do I do?
My Current Numbers are:
76 - 89 - 25 (190)
79 - 55 - 11 (145)
67 - 33 - 82 (182)
I understand from the very vague hints from the forum posts that just addition is involved, but which way am I supposed to add it? Does the order which you pick the choices matter or is it just the end result? Is it just the totals from each row or add down the columns (ex. 76+79+77).
The pic has one number 182 at the end of the dialogue so I can only assume it referring to 67+33+82 and none of the combos work. Is it a red herring? So far that's all I've gotten.
The fucking insane amount of Charons you earn from quests.
Arena, killing Balor, and helping Abram in Foundry will net you enough Charons to pay for the materials to craft more grenades than you will ever need
>get the ACONR
>suddenly shitstorm
Fug, do these things infinitely spawn, or do I just hold out?
>The fucking insane amount of Charons you earn from quests.
Are worthless when the DLC introduces massive charon dumps, along with the massive charon dump that establishing your house is. Unless you're a mega merchant.
You just need to add all the numbers in a line together and see if they correspond with one of the codes around the area. It's obtuse but really easy once you understand what you're supposed to do.
>merchants are selling shields after depot a
>but not shield emitter bases
?????????????????????????
Roy Batty was extremely intelligent. You would have to max most stats to get a close resemblance.
Money is a finite resource. Therefore, wasting it needlessly on grenades that you don't need is inefficient and suboptimal.
See how this works?
Why is every fight infinitely easier if you just gank the crossbow shitter immediately?
Money is infinite, you can turn a profit off merchant inventories with crafting
What else are you spending that money on if you're a full psy fag?
Yeah SGS doesn't have a reliable shield base merchant for some reason. Sometimes Harold has one.
>I'm a pysker main who doesnt use any other combat skill
Absolutely derailed
money's only value is in use as currency, if you have 100000 Charon at the end of the game you can afford to spend it, as it has no use to you otherwise, it ceases being a resource if you don't use it
Leather armor shotgunner RPing Ash?
Sound good?
I want her to suck my dick.
>money is a finite resource
Just go kill the entire map then hock their shit at the vendor, I'm on Hard with 0 Mercantile and have 11k Stygians with no idea what to do with them
because Styg is about 95 percent retard
Based
So now you need money and a ton of skill points. That doesn't sound very efficient to me.
Jet skis and housing.
Good thing everything has a set value, and using resources that add up to 2000 in a fight would be objectively worse than doing the same fight while spending 0.
sounds groovy
yea, don't forget temporal, if you want to go really spicy go dodge evasion yell
It worked!
based retard
money ceases to have value if you don't use it
2000 out of an infinite supply means nothing
why spend in your psi beetle carapace tactical armor, or psionic headband, it has a cost
because you can afford it and it makes the game easier
just like you don't need any gear to beat the game, you also don't need that 2000 Charon out of that scrooge mcduck stack as there won't be enough situations to get even close to depleting it
in real terms you still have infinite money either way
Ezrael.
Help
All I'm hearing is "my arbitrary definition is right and everything else is wrong."
I stand by my original statement: no one will be able to adequately define efficiency in a game like this without a scoring system.
You don't have infinite money, and any excess money left over at the end of the game can be used to judge how well you did. More money left over naturally means less resources were used, which means you performed better (or more efficiently) than someone with less money.
I don't know why you're stuck on this money thing when it was just an example of another arbitrary way to measure efficiency.
Either get high and torch the obelisk or run
But.... How, the puzzle is randomly generated
but the goal isn't about less resources used, this is about efficiency in combat, not the Sims
Bre nobody is stopping you from playing with just psi schools and nothing else just dont be surprised when people use items that cost a whopping 40 charons to make
just kill all mutants and save yourself some time
Just confirming the solution worked. I couldnt use the solution earlier because I was somewhere else in the game.
The amount of money used in a fight can be used to measure efficiency.
Three players complete the same fight. One of them uses items equivalent to 5600, the other 2700, and the last one only 800. You could very easily use this information to judge who was the most efficient.
I'm not. This is about a couple of autists insisting that their way is the most optimal when no one will agree on what that means.
Use grenades I don't give a shit. Just don't suggest their necessary or even comparable to what psi offers,
but no one else is rating on charons, they're rating how efficient the actual combat was, if you have a way to offset the costs and still be more efficient in COMBAT, not in money saving I consider that the win
this game is focused on combat, you can't beat the game with mercantile as it isn't a combat skill
Torch the obelisk?
>they're rating how efficient the actual combat was
Which you can judge based on the amount of money spent on the encounter.
Or the amount of turns spent.
Or the number of raw actions you take.
Or the raw number of AP and MP you use.
Or the percentage of AP and MP you use.
Or the amount of real world time it takes.
Until Styg adds in some form of rating system (which he'll never do) you'll just have to accept that your way of judging things aren't universal or objectively true.
Nooooo I don't wanna go I just want to stay home and play Underrail.
so how many categories do emp grenades make psi builds more efficient, everyone, you already have infinite money due to being psi so it's a moot point
>you already have infinite money
You still don't get it. You're truly an imbecile.
Not going to argue with you anymore. I've made my case, and any reasonable person reading will understand that I'm right and you're wrong.
your whole argument was centered around efficiency based on money use, but as pure psi you have infinite money with nothing to spend it on
now you don't want to talk about money
using emp grenades to augment your psi skills is the most efficient way to play psi
being that the game is based on combat, and not counting charons
you have no shortage of charons
>Not going to argue with you anymore. I've made my case, and any reasonable person reading will understand that I'm right and you're wrong.
Third party here, you came across as the retard in this discussion.
nice samefag
actualy third party here, you came across as a genius based "i don't throw EMP's because they're inefficient" man
Does the AP cost reduction from rapid reload round up? AP 13 weapon with rapid reloader, does it get reduced to 11 (13-2.6) or 10 with rounding?
>More money left over naturally means less resources were used, which means you performed better
Just means you were hoarding more. Nothing good about it - money is there to be spent, like any resource.
it will always round up
it's on the wiki
you realize like 4 people replied to him right
>30 mechanical damage threshhold against melee
>spiders still cut through me like butter
>Assault on scrappers
>attack through old junkyard on accident
>Sound of several dozen corpses dropping at once, game crashes as soon as I spawn in
haunted underrail
SOME OF YOU MAY DIE
BUT THATS A SACRIFICE
I'M WILLING TO MAKE
Bio damage
If it rounds up why does the 13 AP -> 11 AP? 2.6 should round up to 3 for 13-> 10?
I have 100% bio resist, the shooting ones aren't the problem.
>jumped into the creeper lair
>nexus doors dont open from the inside
Tell me this isnt grey army base all over again
Hope you enjoy getting violated by the naga
Does that happen before or after I can open the main doors
Turning on the power activates him
After you can open them, before you open them.
shemaleizationnnnnnnnnnnn, I'll stay right hereeeeeeeeeee
>ap used is the only thing that matters
>nope i've never done a fight and thought 'shit that went bad i bet i could do it better and use less items"
damn retards
how viable is a crit smg build on dominating
I'm worried about high DT shit like robots where I think i'll be relying exclusively on crits
Anyone got suggestions what to do after getting the drill parts? i think i'm a bit underleveled since i was a bit underleveled when i went to depot A
When do shotguns get scary? I only have the shoddy right now, admittedly, but its taking at least 2 shots per enemy, which isn't very impressive when I only get two shots a turn.
Camp hathor if you have some molotovs and a shield.
Go around killing any bandits you can to build up a cash reserve selling their equipment. After that I'd recommend going Railroad Crossing -> Foundry - > Core City
The starter shotgun is ludicrously shitty, the moment you get any decent upgrade and use proper ammo you'll start making red mist.
Right around junkyard when you can make one that isn't literal trash and afford more hoppershot
What should I keep an eye out for? I can craft one if I get parts?
Also, what ammo is good to use? I've just been using the red stuff since its cheapest.
Welp, this is it Yea Forums, i'm just gonna end it here.
>epstien shit has made me lose all hope

Since you guys have always been my favorite board, and kept me entertained. I'll return the favor. I'll be streaming my suicide in about 10 minutes. In the mean time, I shall answer any questions, suggestions, etc

i suppose i could always buy those. what awaits, burrowers?
thanks
2 plans to go on
Shotgun build pasta :
20p - Unarmored
6p - Armored
12p usually isn't the right choice. 3p is rare as fuck, but good for heavy armor encounters.
Sixth Shell - Mandatory, get the spec too
Leading Shot - ALSO mandatory, gives so much accuracy its insane
Fragmented Chaos - Better than first thought since you'll be using 6p so often it means 41% crit damage. Doesn't interact with crit power.
Full Auto + Suppressive Fire + Opportunist is a good time, but you might go lower STR, and free up points for Grenadier and traps as your short range is a hassle. You might also want to go hybrid with another gun like a sniper + aimed shot, even Snipe if you go lighter armor and dodge. You're basically melee with a shotgun, so be ready for asshurt if you have no way to defend yourself. Also Kneecap Shot works with Sixth Shell.
crits are pretty good with crit power and fragmented chaos you can get 200% with the 6p it depends on ammo.
Vindicator is the best frame also the despot is the only that needs 6 strength of all the shotguns so all you really need is 5 strength
Vindicators for single shot, tyranny or the unique Rancor for burst fire.
Crit chance is amazing on shotguns because it allows them to bypass DT, crit damage is meh since they have naturally low crit damage boost so Critical Power is much less effective.
pallet mayhem is pretty bad but yeah fragmented chaos unlocks at 12 so you still are able to get 3 stat points if you want to pick it up later
20p - Unarmored

Burrowers yeah. They don't stand a chance against someone that is shielded and has fire.
Pasted from a notepad I made:
>Number sets provided around lab, no idea what order they go in:
76 - 89 - 25 = 190
79 - 55 - 11 = 145
67 - 33 - 82 = 182
>Order? No idea which of those three sets would be first and which the last. What do the numbers mean, dude?
>Numbers listed in console from top to bottom:
11 - 17 - 4 = 32
37 - 40 - 5 = 82 3
3 - 6 - 1 = 10
12 - 10 - 11 = 33 2
25 - 39 - 26 = 87
23 - 31 - 13 = 67 1
5 - 03 - 4 = 12
46 - 29 - 25 = 100
>Three of aforementioned sets from console need to be in correct order.
>How do these correspond?
>Addition? Subtraction?
>Not prime numbers. Not by factors.
>Turns out it's addition, good job, instincts.
5 20 29 = 54
15 10 9 = 34
8 16 1 = 25 3
7 8 5 = 20
2 53 34 = 89 2
2 15 2 = 19
33 33 33 = 99
39 21 16 = 76 1
5+18+19 =42
11+11+68 =90
50+1+6 =57
39+2+40 =81
1+1+2 =4
14+37+4 =55 2
4+3+4 =11 3
22+33+24 79 1
Fragmented chaos doesn't actually work with crit power
Playing Underrail makes me want to kill myself as well
>walk over a mine
>don't even dip below (regenerating)
Tin cans have their benefits.
>he let henderson die
clear the areas that were blocked by rocks with tnt charges, try your luck at some bandits outside sgs, chances are psifuckers will absolutely destroy you, try to get a tactical vest, as well as a shield emitter, one or the other is fine
looting selling aquiring currency, planning what you want to do next
You can destroy the shadowlith entirely if you found the ethereal torch beforehand
well it is a crit smg build, I would think if anything could do it that would be it
hated those fuckers when i went to some weird place south of junkyard. actually left that location because of them but i suppose i could go back with proper equipment
>tube over forward grip
Bre...
That's a bug.
Protip to shotgun users always check Blaine and Jonas for the shell belt
Disappointed I couldn't extract Todd's chip.
A current one it seemed wise to let him know
wtf
walk over mine, have a shield like a civilized human being, in dungeon spot mines while sneaking
Who the fuck sells W2C blueprints? I've been all over the underrail to every shop including the shit in Expedition and I'm level 20 and I still haven't found a fucking blueprint for those. It's pissing me off.
Its been spammed for like a week now
i was a brainlet and i threw in napalm but sometimes you get curious you know
maybe in some universe that i'm not a brainlet how would i have solved this
Are spears really crappy at damage? I heard they are really defensively focused so kill slow, outside of spear throw anyway. Is that true?
I DID NOT FIND A SINGLE FUCKING SHELL BELT. I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT. Okay I found one in the gauntlet, where I couldn't fucking take it with me.
Sold by Kevin in Foundry.
Sold by Fraser in Fort Apogee.
Sold by Constantine in Oculus.

Still in the depot, people.
>lay bear traps for junkyard muties as usual
>crossbow chick walks over and starts disarming them
What in the goddamn...
Is it 100 hard or soft mercantile? I have 100 soft and 64 hard.
look if she wants to run headfirst in to a dozen bandits on DOMINATING and miss every shot with her sniper, thats her decision
anyone know where the decontamination room in joint security hq is?
Front door, left entrance
>can crit on demand
>partially ignores Dr
>can have enetgy edge for basically unresistable damage
Sorry I brought it up cant imagine not having one
Whatever is in the parenthesis is the value
The base damage is still pretty low, especially pre-foundry when you're not getting good metal and if you're wielding it with a shield like god intended. For 20 AP a swing I could be just swinging a sledge around and killing shit so fast I don't need defense. Wish spears would go down to 15 AP.
The game uses both. Sometimes it uses the base stat and then the one inflated by stats and other skills, thus hard and soft.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed Expedition, though the ending didn't really conclude on anything. Lot of neat implications. Looking forward to a sequel or even just making the Deep Caverns not a nightmarish slog.
Why in the world would you use a shield?
Why would you make riot armor pre-Depot A at all?
But expedition made the deep caverns utterly trivial now
>confront Mordre after taking morphine AND aegis
>still left with only 1 hp after he takes the shot
Jesus christ, I thought snipers were supposed to be shit at point blank range.
A piece of tungsten from the scrappers and you are fucking set until you hit foundry
Μην αγνοείτε τις Αρχαίες Τέχνες
Good job failing that quest
Fuck, is that the thing the Ferryman killed the unga bunga with? I never really did anything with it, how do I use it?
they have bad accuracy at close range (-30%), but they'll still hit for full damage.
Get high.
Drink the juice or ask Azif
You need to drink Dude's juice and then activate it, it will become a weapon
Is the dlc out or why are you spamming these threads
Can I just chug some juice in the facility right now and do it?
Nothing wrong with killing Mordre.
The DLC has been out for almost 2 weeks now, do you fags never check Steam?
Yes
You guys think quick pockets would be good for a spear thrower? Swapping spears as I'm chucking them seems like it might be useful no?
is it any gud
I agree. Which is why I hope they change it up.
Just pick up your spear dude.
It's great, adds tons of stuff, worth the 10 bux. But it's meant to be done midgame, so you don't have to worry about doing it from the start or the end. Around level 15-20ish (ups the level cap to 30 BTW).
not him but i'm pretty sure you can't complete the quest optimally if you kill mordre, locking you out of the occulus
although i could be wrong
Check your quick invoker again dum dum
Hows does picking it up even work? Should I go for maximum mobility or could I go tin can spear thrower?
you are not wrong
Mobilty because spear throw is OP as fuck even with the nerf. You can use aluminized stuff to throw molotovs chuck spears and pick them up with zero danger to yourself
thanks man
So what, tac vests or fancy leather?
Don't tell me this whole Mordre business is just a big misunderstanding and red herring to cover the real murderer Essie.
How does that work, exactly? Do you not get to turn him in to Lenox?
Here's my current build, playing on hard. Decided to skip all crafting mostly as a challenge but I think the lack of premeditation hurts more than the no crafting.
Not sure what feats I should go for next, maybe blindsiding & shooting spree. Also considering critical power, pyromaniac and psycho-temporal acceleration.
I believe the optimal route is to just finger Mordre as the real killer and tell Lenox. You can either zone him out or let him go.
If you can prove he did it without confronting him just talk to Lenox
You can absolutely kill Modre. As long as you convince Lenox he did it with sufficient evidence, you're good to go for Occulus.
Don't know why one particular retard repeatedly insists otherwise.
You need to actually produce evidence that he is the killer, you can't just guess. So make sure you gather any clue you can.
the basic rundown of the quest to get optimal completion (optimal completion is required for all three of jacks tasks in order to join the occulus) is;
>talk to lenox to get the keycard to bros room
>go to bros room, learn about his time in praetorium security
>talk to lenox about it
>go to core city and ask Jon about it
>blah blah get food get info
>talk to the guns merchant in core city and convince him to show you the secret documents
>return to sgs
>go into the medical storage room, look at the computer logs for michael mordingtons medical history as well as the medical inventory
>ask pascale to investigate the body again
>show all of this to lenox
basically, confronting mordre about it at any stage unfortunately results in sub-optimal quest completion.
i'm honestly not sure what happens to mordre when you do the quest optimally. does tanner take him into custody? does lenox kill him? who knows
oh, apparently i'm wrong about confronting mordre failing the quest
did you pass a speech check or something? or did you just kill him without talking to him, and then turn the evidence in to lenox?
>confronting mordre about it at any stage unfortunately results in sub-optimal quest completion.
Wrong. It's time for you to shut the fuck up.
Probably because this is on the wiki:
"
You can also optionally confront Mordre directly before presenting the evidence to Lenox.
At 95 Persuasion, you can make him confess and let him leave without a fight.
90 Persuasion is enough to make him confess, but he will attack you.
Any less and he will refuse to talk to you again. If you initiate a fight against him, whole SGS will turn hostile. However, he can be assassinated with traps as Mushroom Cove is an uncontrolled zone. "
Passing the speech check gives you an option to let him go.
>everyone having a perfectly normal discussion
>prefacing posts with "i could be wrong"
>this guy spergs out
calm down
Get BTFO retard.
>confronting mordre about it at any stage unfortunately results in sub-optimal quest completion
But why? That doesn't seem right at all.
>i'm honestly not sure what happens to mordre
My first thought was that he'd just run off, especially if Tanner sends some regular security jobbers after him.
>let him go
How does THAT not fail the quest?
with psi you're basically sitting on shekels it doesn't hurt to have a few emps for robot fights
get self-btfo by acting like a sperg online, simple as
All Lenox wanted were answers.
So I was looking at all the in-game portraits for the game, including the unique ones that aren't normally available to players to see if i wanted to rip one of them and I noticed something about Ethan, the TM tutor
he has a portrait where he is an old man
how do you encounter this?
Pickpocket something from him.
I assumed this was the case with him, but I don't know.
Steal the magic trinket he uses to dilate.
Either way, the portraits with gas masks are top-tier for both sexes desu.
ahhh, thats super interesting. shame I generally don't like making pickpocketing characters, does it give him much unique dialogue?
There is unique dialogue, but not much. He's not very happy about it.
You can take it from him through normal dialog. No need to pickpocket.
From what I understand, fighting with Mordre making the entirety of SGS freak out on you was a bug in the early versions of the game. Nothing of the sort happens if you fight after getting the confession now.
Which raises the question: use the evidence so Tanner can bring him in or just kill him yourself to make sure he'll never trouble anyone ever again?
kill him for being a dumb nigger.
Turn him in. He a good boy. Just want to fish and smoke swisher sweets.
>black guy
>is a violent retard
Styg..?
>murders a citizen of the station in cold blood and acts like nothing happened
>good boy
???
yo wtf bros i put down the naval mines and im still being attack by natives
what difficulty
>cold blood
>implying the execution wasn't justified
hard
>executing a man for doing his job
>after he leaves said job behind him
>justified
Mordre, get off the SGS network.
>executing Biocorp superassassins for doing their job
Blood for blood.
it was 15 years ago. if he had a problem with anything he should have went to tanner or left the station after doing the deed.
>killing people is okay if my feelings are hurt!
LOL
Revenge is a dish best served cold. Mort did nothing wrong. Faggot gimp got what was coming to him.
t:
(spouts meme)
yikers
your buff bar right now
acting edgy is a meme
>goes off on tangent
get btfo shitter
Considering the records list his real name, did Tanner know Mordre was a superassassin? How many people like that are on this goddamn station?
Well, lets list SGS members who are notably important/dangerous people;
>Tanner
>Ezra
>Gorsky
>Mordre
>Old man Jones (if you can make it to the bottom of DC you deserve a spot on this list)
is there anyone else?
>morde's face when some faggot from core city thinks he can gank superassassins and get away with it scot free
Is Tanner really that special? or is just because he's the leader of SGS
keep playing
Umm yeah sweaty. Have to go through the storyline.
Also I think Quinton has a bit of a past with Biocorp.
can i burst once with an smg and activate supressive fire and then also activate opportunist within the same burst
Not in the same burst, no.
IMAGINE being a PERCEPTIONLET
