I forget exactly when it was. I wanna say it wasn't too long after they first introduced Shippuden maybe? I just remember the mission requirements were lowered dramatically (win 20 matches with x character became like 4 wins).

Nah they got as far as Chrysalis Stage Aizen iirc. At one point they were adding a bunch of Forgotten old characters like Ichigo’s sisters instead of relevant characters

Its literally the same game as before so you can look up old teams/strats from way back and they should still work.

Are there enough people playing nowadays that a new player won't be getting matched with several-year vets who have top-end character teams? From what I remember I think they usually tried to keep things balanced with regular updates but like says there came a time when I kept getting matched with people who seemed to have characters that outclassed mine. Maybe it was just because I didn't know how the newer characters worked so I didn't know how to face them.

By 6 years I meant 2008-2016 (it was more like 8 years). I honestly didn’t even know it was starting up again because all 3 arena games shut down, since the admin with the source code and key disappeared off the internet, and none of the other admins could update the game, so they stopped paying to host the site. But a tip for a restart: Naruto-Sasuke-Sakura is a legitimate good team for ranking up at the beginning because of high burst damage, good defense, decent healing, and stuns. Rasengan + Sharingan-Boosted Chidouin was a one shot back in the day.

Yeah some of the missions were ridiculous. For Shippuden Kakashi you needed an 8 steak with Naruto, Sakura, and Kakashi. Bleach’s Soul arena has ridiculous stuff too. For Resurrecion Szayel you needed a 4 streak with a specific character against another (very rare) character.
I always liked AOE teams. In Soul arena, my fav team was Ikkaku, Kaien Shiba, and that mosquito ex-Espada (forgot his name).

The game is relatively balanced, most characters are viable. Try to avoid using too much of a single chakra type on a team. Make sure you have a few stuns and invulnerability skills to avoid being comboed by some stun or damage chains. Make sure you know your enemies’ moves so you know about counters and other invisible skills

It’s a flash game, so it depends. IMO the reason the game failed in the first place was they never turned it into an app

I haven’t played in a while, but Tenten and Haku were good for an AOE stun team.
Kakashi had a stun that also doubled the power of Raikiri, causing it to deal 100 damage, so yeah he had a one shot. The Demon brothers did as well but they removed it if I recall.

AOE team with something like Temari and Tenten plus someone I don't remember anymore was my shit since as a kid I couldn't unlock anyone. I revisited it a few years later and got way further though, it was fun.

For me it was duel masters online, I can't remember the DBZ one I really liked, never got into naruto as much despite really loving naruto. There was a zombie survival one which was good too.

I love shit like byond and WC3 customs, giving the players a platform to make whatever they want brings so many good ideas out. So much good stuff came out of both of them.

There are YEARS worth of guides/tips online for teams you can look up. Some are in this thread.

I recommend going to the character profiles on the website and reading up on all the characters skills so you know what’s good against who
