Most exposure the series has now is Captain Falcon and thats it.
Getting a copy of GX is a pain in the ass. And emulating it can be complicated due to some stages destroying your framerate.

Wipeout Omega is a port of a remake of a PSP game, but if it ain't broke don't fix it. Also VR is glorious.
BallisticNG continues oldschool Wipeout lineage, tighter but boatier than new ones.
Redout is a new breed of hyperspeed racing and it's bloody brilliant in its own right.
GRIP is Rollcage in HD, nuff said.
F-Zero GX Unleashed is a great mod for GX that actually balances the machines and parts. Also pokes the AI a bit to be both faster and less rubberbandy.
FAST is decent, though at the end of the day it's just discount Redout, and since Switch has the real Redout now there's not much reason to pick it up.

Overall, the hyperspeed era seems to be coming back.
