Nintendo has had 1 (one) actual genuinely good console in their entire history. The rest range from absolute trash to okay.

Sure, it's still called a "Nintendo" game, but it's mostly other studios that do all the job, not Nintendo itself.
Hell, look at Smash Bros., it's made by Namco, not Nintendo despite being a celebration of Nintendo's history.

Because they are the only large developer who isn't actively consumer hostile. Though they can be woefully inept, especially with meeting their demand with adequate supply.

GCN is great but not good.

This user has it right. If you want to play through it once, it's a blast, even 100% there's not that many moons that are a chore. That said, after playing it I have little desire to go back to it and it's not a masterpiece.
