Prayer flicking lets you have nigh infinite prayer but at the risk of getting one shot in a lot of places if you opt for high dps (or because you're simply too low)
Single click pray flicking can be pretty braindead but you still have to be consistent. But then the more challenging parts of OSRS take into account the prayer mechanics and force you to change them up all the time. The game becomes more about holding your composure in stressful scenarios.

Because one prayer pot, even while praying for RS3 protections, is still worth more than almost an entire row of food.
