Sure, I can render it internally up to 6k before I start getting frame drops. The 60fps patch doubles the game speed though so it's not worth it. Hopefully someone will fix it in the future.

HOLY FUCKING SHIT! Thanks user, I had no fucking idea, I checked their progress like yesterday and I wasn't expecting anything new for months. I'm download that shit RIGHT FUCKING NOW! I hope I can at least run it at 4k 60fps but 1440p60fps is not that bad either.

Use OpenGL to get Reshade working. Demons Souls doesn't need imrpovements though it looks perfect.
The Sly Cooper games run like horseshit on PCSX2 for me but the Sly Collection runs perfectly on RPCS3. I don't know how that works but I'm just glad that I can finally play one of my favorite platformers again.

I'm convinced someone in the PCSX2 devteam is sabotaging the emulator, because I get new bugs and compatibility issues with each new build.
I think they got it to boot recently but it's still a ways off from being playable

My constant 100% CPU usage is concerning though
I just patched the game and managed to play it at 6k 60fps but I still get frame drops in certain areas like boletaria. It goes down to 50 but very rarely goes down to 45 and it's absolutely jarring. The game feels so smooth at 60fps, too bad it's not very well optmized and certain areas will tank the framerate hard but still better than the 720p30fps with drops on the PS3 that's for sure.

It doesn't stand anywhere, it's extremely different and basically its own thing, as different as Bloodborne is to the other games.
It is a transition from the older lockon based games into the "hardcore" souls genre. There are stronger themes, better atmosphere and lots of boss gimmicks.
It's nowhere near as hard as other Souls games in regards to just the raw combat, but it does punish you quite a bit more by reducing your health by half once you die and only having a single checkpoint (bonfire) at the start of the level until you kill the boss, though that does result in bigger interconnected designs

All the shit that didn't make sense in Dark Souls and got explained away with "lol time is weird" makes sense in Demons Souls because all the souls shit was designed specifically for Demons.
Easier to break though and that was half the fun. No one will ever experience the height of scraping spear again.

yup, that's pretty much the case. also, it shows how insignificant the notion of collecting anything is, since time will eventually render their collections worthless.

Try the other Souls inspired games like The Surge, Nioh, Lords of the Fallen, Immortal: Unchained, Ashen and Sinner: Sacrifice Redemption
Along with a ton of 2D games that were also greatly inspired by Souls

if you've played any of the souls games past demon you will not like demons souls. in some ways it's easier yet very stiff compared the newer one, some like it that way like me but newer people would hate it
