start from the door to RL. move along the edge of the bridge, then right before the wall do circlejump left, then strafejump, and you'll make it.

If he was being an ass then that's what he gets. If not, then that sucks. Unfortunately a lot of newbs get fucking demolished right off the bat like that and give up. I consider myself a pretty bad player (silver shitter in duel) and when I have played people new to the game I have destroyed them with no effort at all on my part.
If the devs weren't such clueless idiots we would have had proper tutorials a long fucking time ago. That would at least help a little bit. It's shameful that I have run into people who want to try the game out but have no clue at all what strafejumping is and I have to direct them to a Youtube tutorial to explain an important game mechanic.

The dynamic soundtrack was such a great idea. It's one of the best feelings to slowly fight your way to the top, and the music slowly transitions from the losing track to the winning track as you get closer to first place.
