Epic hit with class-action suit over hacked Fortnite accounts

>Epic Games is being sued over security breaches that allowed hackers to access the personal information of Epic Games accounts.
>The class-action lawsuit, filed by Franklin D. Azar & Associates in U.S. District Court in North Carolina, alleges Epic’s “failure to maintain adequate security measures and notify users of the security breach in a timely manner.” The lawsuit states that “there are more than 100 class members.”
>In January, Epic acknowledged that a bug in Fortnite may have exposed personal information for millions of user accounts.
>Epic Games acknowledged and fixed the issue, but the suit alleges that the company has failed to notify affected users.

Serious question. Does this guy have a single fucking flattering photo of himself?

Steam has just as many security holes, if not more.

It would be great if they subpoenaed Sweeney and had them show where most of the hacking attempts came from...China, in a separate office of the same Epic building.

>b-b-but Steam!
Like a clockwork.
Someone, post the pic. I've lost mine.

>steam has holes, spies 24/7, giving root access to everything
>nobody cares
>epic got some f*rtnite account hacked
>CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT

it's just that no one cares, right? that's why you never hear about that
it's not like valve helps people remove their credit card info or help them get their account back altogether either, that'd be ridiculous. after all if epic can't do it how can valve do it?

>Deflecting
All you have to do IS FIX THE FUCKING STORE SWEENEY.

epic's security is problem ass tho. there's not a lot of reason to let someone from china log into ted tedson from missouri's account after the 99th try

I'll give props to Cliffy B for jumping ship as soon as Tencent bought Epic
Too bad he's a retard that jumps ships before they get the booty

This is probably what Tim is gonna say to the court.

they'll argue they don't have standing to bring suit or some other shit
"gabe sucks too" isn't an excuse for why your gas pump filled my car up with milk

>Tencent bought
Why are steam drones sub 80iq, they get btfo everytime when they make this bullshit claim but they are still repeating it (like drones). Embarrassing.

really nigga?

>Tencent bought epic
>Now it's bought into
>How to be a subhuman the reply
Btw buying into something when the owner has more than 50% is pretty much meaningless. (It's more like a sponsorship)

I'm not that dude you were talking to dude. It's not "sponsorship". They OWN the company. They just don't have the controlling interest.

>less than 50% is meaningless
it absolutely isnt. controlling stake doesnt mean you can do what you want. a 30% stake is significant enough to give you decent leverage on all company actions.

as a cofounder of three businesses, today i learn that i was just a sponsor the entire time

Don't worry, it was the Chinese government doing the hacking.

god why are epic shills so dumb

Go on, lad! This account's on me.

NOOOO EPICBROS HOW DO WE SAVE BASED TIM?!?!?!
