Inakuni Raimon is boring and I couldn't really care about any of the team members, which is ironic because Asuto is one of my favorites in Orion now. Nosaka is boring as fuck. Haizaki is the best of all the protags and his plot line is the most interesting. It had awful pacing because Hino wanted to rush to Ares and it shows, nothing in this show feels naturally, besides Eisei's with all its development of Tatsuya and Hiroto's relationship. Heck, Hino literally says you were meant to root for them to him.
I literally can't even remember how the final match was, because I forgot about it completely. I do remember being so disappointed with how they handled the villains demise though.
There other complains I heard a lot that I really don't have to much of an issue with like the easy goals and lack of overall hissastsus being used outside of shoot hissatsus. It's bad.
I think it's great gameplay wise, it's the plot I have problems with. I find it too serious and it lacks that "Inazuma Eleven" feel to me.

I only played up to Chrono Stones, does leveling up special moves get any better in Galaxy? I still remember taking ages leveling catches because of how you have to intentionally put yourself at risk of losing an S rank or whatever to gain some uses on the techniques. Even the fucking dribbles which you can grind fast as fuck thanks to armor not consuming TP still takes ages since you have 14 team members that want at least a decent dribble.

You know how it was cool in IE3 that your team, the villains and rivals join together to make an all-star team to take on the world.
Galaxy does the exact opposite and sacks literally everyone, but the 3 main characters and the MC's sidekick for a bunch of literal whos who never even played soccer.

at least they get their asses kicked by an actual all-star team

The entire story is FUBAR. Basically Hiro decided to say "fuck the entire GO series and whatever the story was" and introduced new characers (who later would become irrelevant), introduced a very random plot (which has nothing to do with Inazuma but then again, Inazuma) and gave the middle finger to some most loved characters in the series, such as Hakuryuu, Taiyou and Kirino, as some examples. None of the new characters aside from Zanakuro and Ibuki are well liked, that's why they turned out irrelevant.

Galaxy's game is completely different since it allows you to have multiple characters from old games as soon you win the FFI qualifiers, and the story is Tenma-Tsurugi focused instead.

And the game basically blows the rest of the other Inazumas. Besides the issue about 4 players being god tier from the rest, the game is quite balanced and fun. Also the Galaxy game helps you to know what to do next, at least in the japanese version. Pic related, weeks of work and I still enjoy it upon today.

Seriously, everytime I see someone shit on Galaxy its only for this reason. I get being upset about it, but besides Zanakurou, they're all great developed characters and Matatagi is one of the best, if not the best written character in the whole franchise. I even think there are way more things you could criticize Galaxy for, like Shindou's retarded character regression being explained away with "Lmao I was just pretending", but it's always only just that. I personally was ready to give the new cast a chance instead of writing them off immediately and enjoyed the hell outta Galaxy. I find it to be the best written IE arc overall, though I prefer the overall plot of IE2.

That's the overall community opinion. The thing is that if you have really well characters (like Matatagi) and you gave them absolutely no fucking show time or not that much, they are wasted. Shindou's character was really shit, but I could understand his anger at the very start. If I know better players could do a better job rather than the shit I have, I would be also mad.

That's good, Inazuma games have such a stupid amount of grinding for what is supposed to be a child-friendly series.

>grinding 5% drops on full 20 minute matches hoping that the key item you need for a recruitment drops, since for some reason key items aren't a guaranteed drop
>grinding spirit coins is absolute bullshit since you might just need many many of them if god forbid you want to use characters that didn't originally have spirits (and armoring is locked behind a second spirit coin too)
>hey, new coaches are also unlocked as random drops on long matches!
>grinding specific stats on the training zones
>you don't just worry about your team of 15 because you also need to level up who you'll be using for miximax, so you need to make sure they all have some spirits and leveled up moves in their arsenal
>also, you need to wait until your miximx partner is level 99 because they won't gain any EXP while they're partnered :^)
Sure, you don't need a super perfect team to complete most of the postgame content, but the longer you play the postgame the more it feels so insurmountable to feel like you have "finished" your team. Even Monster Hunter feels less cruel with the amount of grinding it expects out of you.

I know that's the overall opinion and that's why it pisses me off.
Galaxy isn't like your standard IE game, by having a lot of focus on worldbuilding and the overall conflict instead of the team in its second half, but I consider none of the characters in it being wasted, for the part that is solely focused on them is handled very well.
Also feel free to consider it a stupid reason, but at least there was one for why the whole cast got replaced and it's not like they're all awful players till the end. Heck, Konoha has the highest defence in the game. Souls are still a dumb idea in my opinion though.

Oh about those, yeah it's easier in Galaxy. There is not that much freedom as like CS's retarded IMBA system of training works, and mostly every character works. Spirit coins are removed from the game as well, money is easier to get and if you want a certain hissatsu into your player, but you don't have the card skill, there is a bug in the emulator that helps you in that. The grinding for every level is still there, but it's more friendly and easier. Miximax is unlocked after the story and it's not that great anymore, and the matches are quicker since the souls use the same summon system of the normal spirits.

Well, Konoha was supposed to be the replacement for Kinako but I believe not a lot of japs liked her design...
Then again Aoi Yuuki is a literal god for voicing those two.

You can sign basically everyone in Galaxy, aside from most of the randoms in older games. You can have OG Yuuka and GO Yuuka in the same team and such. Some characters are QR locked tho, like the galaxy twins and some Layton characters.
