No new releases

JRPGs have cute anime girls which I like but the gameplay is almost always trash.

Then play SRPGs instead

There's plenty with good gameplay

ahh, flat chested girls in oni costume

this

most srpgs are just jrpgs on a grid with boring level design and repetitive gameplay

provide examples

Who are these cuties

Dungeon travelers 2
Atelier series
Ar tonelico series
Etrian Odyssey
Mary Skelter
Devil Survivor
Tales series
Valkyria Chronicles
7th Dragon
Genius of Sapphieros
Persona

I'm playing Wild Arms 3 and just discovered I could've done a bunch of Millenium Puzzles and a few sidequest already. Now I'm debating using a simple guide just to make sure I don't miss anything.

the telepath tower sidequest is missable if you don't start it before a certain point, but other than that there are no real missables in the game

Finished FETH. It was pretty mediocre.

I knew about that one but I wasn't sure if anything else important was. I am surprised I missed the millennium puzzles because I've been talking to everyone in every town as I go, but haven't received any hints about puzzle locations.

i fap enough as it is

Why do you start these threads this way? I mean its always DT2 art right? Seems like you could branch out is all. And I am playing one though. Finishing up Dragon Quest 4. And starting my yearly playthrough of this.

Fire Emblem is the definition of mediocre. They added the waifu shit in a desperate attempt to make it appealing.

Im too busy playing MHGU, only gaem I’ve played in about a month now

>desperate attempt to make it appealing.
Except that it worked better than they could have ever hoped

because I'm not a kumbrain

the only series with great gameplay here is EO and that's still love it or hate it

I'm currently playing FE Three Houses like everyone else on here, and Tales of Berseria. Berseria hasn't really hooked me though, it's kind of boring, desu.

I'm pretty sure there's no hint to puzzle or tower locations, you just need to search every where until you find them. I think you can get a radar that shows their location from gunner's heaven.

because I don't play video games

Haven't played dungeon travelers or Mary skelter but if you're putting atelier and persona on a list for good gameplay you're a fucking shiteating weaboo

Go back to Mass Effect General you tranny

Gameplay is irrelevant in video games at this point, why do brainlets keep pushing this shit asking "how's the gameplay/combat?"

Can't fault you for it. I used one for Tales of the Abyss as there are a bunch of things that have cutoff points in it.
At least spell it correctly you idiot.
I've been a Fire Emblem fan for so long and I can't get into the last few games that have come out. And I've played ever fan translation and official release I've been able to. I hope they bring something out that hits just right again.

Basically final fantasy but with moe out the ass isnt good gameplay you dipshit

I disagree with the ones I've played aside from maybe EO
Not sure if I should bother trying touhou tgos if you're putting it on the same level as shit like persona
thanks for the effort though

anyone who dislikes EO is a subhuman and that's an objective fact.

>Not sure if I should bother trying touhou tgos if you're putting it on the same level as shit like persona
Because he said "good" not 10/10 goty unforgettable classic

I'll played through Persona 4 recently as it's just always talked about and raved about, but I couldn't feel any connection or even interest in the characters.
Now that's not nice user. I just don't really do that style. I've tried and tried.

Yeah I agree, but it's the only SRPG series that survived to this day and age so there isn't much else out there for choice. Shit sucks and it's impossible to discuss actual mechanics (or lack thereof) with the waifu dickriders, but these are the cards I have to play with.

i'm sorry. i have anger issues and you have bad taste

Why are you being hostile user? Or have this sense of superiority? I'm just trying to be civil here.

mhgu is a jrpg

An actual SRPG strat discussion rarely happens. I've yet to see someone discuss mechanics, stage problems or such.
Someone tried to play Yggdra Union and seems to got problems about his morale in less than 5 BFs, and seems to quit after realizing that it will become harder from there.

>original utawarerumono/growlanser iv/FE4
What's the gameplay like in underwater ray romano? I was waiting for the remake because I was specifically told that the original's gameplay was terrible, is that not the case?
And why FE4, that game is all about soloing packs of 20+ units with your one superunit on an empty field.

Not enough Oni in games.

jrpgs are all trash

i have never played any jrpg but i want to, what is the best jrpg game to start with?

user, the game is too easy right now u til lunatic. Why discuss strategy when it’s piss easy to do. Wait for lunatic and hide the time with Bernie

shit i guess the other 100 hours I was playing it didn't count, I must have forgotten

Should i play FF6 or FF9 first?

I gave in and ordered Ni no Kuni 2 after all, hopefully i don't regret it. Also thinking about getting Tales of Vesperia desu.

They're for blue balled cucks that have watched 1000 anime series but still don't know japanese in order to graduate from his pleb status

It's shit. It's barebones as fuck just like every other porn game. The sequels aren't any better. you can find more advanced SRPGs on the fucking SNES.

Not plsying anything because it takes too long to do a jrpg and i'm tired with work all the time

inb4 discord trannies raid this thread to spam their forced meme/buzzword just like with all the other threads on Yea Forums right now

I don't have the free time i had when I was a kid, so I have to use guides if I want to experience everything in most JRPGs. Just don't have the time to replay stuff when I still have a huge backlog of JRPGs to play.

That's only if you think people exclusively play JRPGs that make their dicks hard. That makes the "buzzword" spam fair game and completely accurate.

Tried playing Breath of Fire IV
Got destroyed by crane minigame, no matter where I positioned the crane, it would simply not pick up the crates

>That makes the "buzzword" spam fair game and completely accurate.
It's used on literally anything that has a woman that isn't a monstrosity.

I don't think it works like that. If you follow a guide you don't get the same experienced condensed into less time, you get an inferior experience with the fun of the adventure taken out.

What video games are the ladies in OP pic from? How are they related to the topic? How are you not an absolute faggot? Why not take it to /e/, won't get enough attention there and mommy sure doesn't give it to you?

Atleast answer one before you shitpost all over yourself sweetie.

No, it's used when waifufaggots play shit games and shitpost about them constantly because they have sexy girls in them.

Waiting on the good version of DQ XI.

Any games with obnoxiously hidden away or super specific triggers for side content isn't worth replaying or playing without a guide anyway.

Unless they completely redid the Switch version so it is a brand new game, it won't be good.

I’m playing through TWEWY’s postgame and getting ready to take on Panthera Cantus. Fun as fuck. After that, I’m getting back into FF10.

>I’m playing through TWEWY’s postgame and getting ready to take on Panthera Cantus. Fun as fuck.
Nice
>mfw i wanna replay it but i don't want to delete my 100% file
those mingle pins were a bitch to evolve, i hate this.

That’s why I actually bought two copies. Was pretty fun to revisit the bosses and enemies on even terms.

I have a soft spot for Kemco games, and play them on my phone during downtime at work. They're easy to pick-up whenever and have a bunch of QOL features that fit around a busy person's life.

I have better games to play, like DQV, FFT, Ys Chronicles, but I end up going back to Kemco stuff even knowing it's not the best game experience I can have.

I just finished all eight characters' stories in Octopath, now what the fuck am I supposed to do

Attached: 921570_20190803000533_1.png (1600x900, 1.1M)

Now most will despise you playing Kemco RPGs on your phone but I myself got the same reason as you. I've finished 4 of those at least during my college times. Pretty nice for killing time if you got too much time in your hands.

It's okay that you're a tasteless plebeian but I think it would be better if you guys found some other forum to talk with like-minded plebeians, rather than polluting the threads for regular jrpg fans.

I need to go back to it myself. I'm still finding people but I haven't played it in fucking months.

>This 144 hour game only has 45 hours, or thirty percent cutscenes! It's so much gameplay!!

Most of those hours of "cutscenes" are dialogue prompts like any other RPG, if you dislike reading why playing RPGs?

Pretty much every JRPG is suited for a pick up and play experience, they're designed from the ground up that way unless you're playing PS1 or NES shit without save states

Yeah I don't get it either even the really famous ones like New Vegas or Deus Ex are praised almost entirely for the dialogue and not the actual action or levels.
