NEVER SHOULD OF COME HERE
Having a crackhead be your spymaster in Morrowind.
Was this the first sign the Empire was finished?
Stop worshiping that false monkey god Talos.
That's just his cover identity until he got a bit too into it
The Nords have gone against 4 merrish races.
3 no longer exist and 1 is circling the drain.
How fucked are the Altmer?
>be the fucking Nerevarine
>have to listen to some shirtless fuck in the middle of nowhere to progress the story
say what you want about Skyrim, but at least that game treated your character with respect
What even happened to him after Morrowind?
OD'd on the boat ride back.
>Why yes, Dunmers are my favorite Elder Scrolls race. How could you tell?
Not very seeing how:
>Altmer live on an island far away from Skyrim
have two large nations as allies,
>Nords are not popular with anyone more so than Altmer are masters of magic while Nords refuse to use it
>long natural lifespans give them more battle experience over the other races
>Nords need go through enemy territory to reach the Sumerser Isles
>can probably convince the Empire to fully commit fighting the Nords for more lenient terms of their peace treaty
>Skyrim will have economic and food problems due to not trading with the Empire anymore
Altmer are np pushovers. There's a reason they're a world ending threat.
About to start my first run in Daggerfall Unity. Give me ideas for a character build
Went back to Cyrodiil and probably died. I don't think he's ever mentioned or referenced in either Oblivion or Skyrim.
>logistics
>resources
>allies
>economy
Mythopeia beats everything else, Nords win cuz men > elves and Thalmor are gay while Talos is bae
Zoom zoom
kill paarthurnax
>be the fucking Nerevarine
At the point in the game you take orders from Cosades you aren't the Nerevarine though
> Nords have to go through enemy territory
They have to sail through waters near nations ( High Rock and Hammerfell) that are at the very least sympathetic to and most likely willing to join the Nords in an attack on Sumerset.
The only obstacle to the Nords raiding Sumerset is the AD navy that is currently blockading the IN to keep them trapped in the Rumare. If they pull ships away from the blockade they risk a breakout.Which is an even worse problem for the AD.
>Nords refuse to use it
elderscrolls.fandom.com
>Hammerfell
Redguards see Nords as nothing more than Barbarians with loud voices. And they're dealing with their own civil war and repairing their home.
>High Rock
Do you think backstabbing pity kingdoms are going to join together under the banner of Nords?
It didn't treat the player with any respect, though.
morrwind .... home
> Long lifespans give them more battle experience
With a few more "victories" like Hammerfell and the IC the AD problem will solve itself.
They are bad at war and have lost the element of surprise.
> Nords not popular
Nice headcanon.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend appplies.
They are a world ending threat. They are barely an Empire ending threat.
Argonians, Khajiit, Altmer, Imperials, and Dunmer all do not like Nords.
Didn't stop the Ebonheart Pact.
>inb4 ESO isn't canon
ESO contains more lore than the rest of the games put together. It is the canon.
So you think everyone will politely wait their turn for the AD to destroy them?
If you ignore the AD threat your argument is defensible. You can't ignore the ADs effect on the equation though.
Not an ES game.
Yes the AD their Puppets and the dungmer do not like Nords.
They are irrelevant to the equation though. As long as the uncucked mannish races and the Bretons are on board Skyrim will be good to go on raiding Sumerset
My C0DA says no ESO is not canon.
Can we all agree that these are the best tracks from their respective games?

Good thing that is an invention of someone who is not associated with Bethesda Game Studios.
spooky
Kirkbride's stuff still shows up in ES games. Ex: Heimskr, from Skyrim.
Zenimax Online dictating what's canon proves we live in the worst timeline possible.
I'm so sick of nords ruining everything. Why can't they go back to Atmora? Oh wait, they fucked that place up too
>Redguards ruined their ancestral islands
>Nords ruined their ancestral continent
Can men just not ruin stuff at all?
he's a double agent crackhead
The respect you get in skyrim is undeserved and therefore meaningless
To be fair the Nords really only took out the Falmer and helped with the Ayleids, (though the Dwarves finished the Falmer off), the Chimer were the ones to take out the Dwarves and then got cursed so took themselves out.
The Nords attack Morrowind and lose but weaken the dwemer enough for the dungmer to get brave enough to backstab them.
This starts a chain of events that leads to the dwemer poofing away and the dungmer homeland blowing up.
Even when they lose the Nords win.
This is what the Altmer are up against.
>you have to be an expert in alchemy to absorb nutrients from food
You can change that with MCP.
oh yeah? Well explain THIS
You're going to get speared
God when I hear the Road most Traveled I also hear NOW YOU DIE from some random dunmer bandits standing around in the wilderness
fuck the demiurge
A spellsword is always a good choice for new players
I adore Caius so you have no idea how much of a relief it was to find out that he survived the Oblivion Crisis.
I want to explore Southern Morrowind and the cities near the Black Marsh border, what would be the best game for this? ESO or Arena (or the tamriel rebuilt thing)?
Please tell me the dragon language on the Chad's shirt reads "ouch"
I think I found a new minor bug, at least, I've never seen any reports of it. If you give Calvus (the Mournhold mercenary follower) a filled soulgem, he doesn't value it at its full value; he just values it at the empty soulgem's price. For example, a grand soul gem with a golden saint's soul inside, he just considers it worth 200 gold.
I noticed it cuz I wanted to give him a filled up soulgem so I could take all his stuff without him getting mad.
He's an imperial, he's probably trying to jew you out
>game called Morrowind
>it's actually only Vvardenfell
Those regions are when ESO Friday came out and I don't think they did a good job with them. Deshaan and kind of boring and not in a comfy way, and shadowfen is kind of copy pasted. Ironically though I think they did an excellent job with stonefalls even though it was another vanilla zone, the lava streams can be gorgeous and the zone lore is more interesting.
I'll never understand why people let copyright law dictate the validity of art. It's a bit like, I dunno, saying that The Aeneid is just worthless fanfiction because it wasn't approved by Homer's estate.
Friday? I mean first.
>game called Skyrim
>its actually Skyrim
Tell me again how Todd lied again?
>game called Arena
>it's actually on Tamriel
>game called Daggerfall
>it's actually between High Rock and Hammerfell
>game called Oblivion
>it's actually on Cyrodiil
>game called Skyrim
>it's actually garbage
Name a better setting for TESVI.
Praise him.
you played Morrowind like a year ago, fag
Akavir
I really want an TES Akavir but you know it'll never happen or if it does it'll look like shit because they'll just re-use assets.
whore
>Elsweyr
>its literally a giant litter box
Skyrim again
It just fits too perfectly. The Elder Scrolls VI: AkaVIr
Validity of art and canon are different things. Good fanfic can be art, but it will never be canon.
When you're invested in the lore of a fictional world, copyright bullshit messing with your obsession can be infuriating.
A giant catbox and the home of the most nothinged of TES races.
Literally ANY other provinces.
No one actually has high hopes for the next tes game, right?
Around here? No
In the real world? More than a few.
Why wouldn't you?
i honestly don't see what the problem with this is.
You missed with your melee weapon and got hit by spells after, right?
the fuck do you mean, undeserved? you're the fucking dragonborn, it's a big deal
I never noticed the poor man had such a problem
>In the real world? More than a few.
>I can't wait for Skyrim 2!
I don't know if it's actually a good thing.
>skyrim combat
>good
Fucking hell skyrim babies are delusional.
But, again as far as I can tell, "canon" only means "blessed by the copyright holders." The entire notion of canon is just a ploy to solidify the power of copyright, to make copyright more than a legal formalism, but a basis for artistic merit.
This is why I brought up The Aeneid, which is a pseudo-sequel to The Iliad, written hundreds of years later. To make the point that canon serves to stifle innovation, by limiting who's allowed to innovate.
CHIM.
Christ he's fucking jacked
Not like the dragonborn actually does anything other than yell really loud. Alduin is still going to come back and eat the world anyway.
>game called Oblivion
>it's actually on Cyrodiil
They promised you Oblivion and gave you that AND Cyrodiil! What a bargain.
Someone give me a rundown on Alduin's power level.
Well he's more of a force of nature than anything. His whole job is to "eat" mundus so time can start all over again.
Nobody owns a copyright on Greek Mythology.
Somebody actually owns the TES IP.
Your comparison is not a valid one.
>Morrowind
>be some literal who dropped from a prisoner boat
>accomplish the rites of a prophecy that might just be bullshit from Azura because she's mad
>by the end of the game you are even asked if you are the Nerevarine, claim that you can either accept or deny it and it won't change a thing
>Skyrim
>be some jumping bean
>become friend with literally everyone, including the empire that tried to arrest you for crossing the border, even if you only learn 6 months later that you are the dragonborn
skyrims combat was dogshit, just being slightly better than other ES in comparison doesnt make it good
Numnum will come back and NO the very concept of Alduin away.
Then Jyg will come back and steal numnums battery.
Then Vivec will come back and shove jyg up his butt then zero sum thus ending all threats to the Kalpa.
bump
Didnt daggerfall use dice roll combat too?
So the presets actually work? There's no need to create a custom class?
All Caius does all day is work out.
Work out and smoke crack
guy I dabbed on the leech on firemoth legion at lvl 23 and I must say, the side quests aren't that good in this game, some of the house ones are ok
should I just do the main from now?
Each TES game in the series traded more RPG elements for action game ones.
The more action-y it gets, the more jarring it is to have your attacks be determined by dice rolls.
reminds me of Triss for some reason
This.
Happens every fucking day.
>red hair
>tiddies hanging out
I wonder why?
.t banana bogdanoff
>Start a new oblivion playthrough
>Try and go full mage
>20 hours in
>No house in cheydinhal has a door in it's interior cell
>Streets are desolate
>Can't finish any quest
>20 fucking hours
Thanks better cities. Very cool!
>playing Morrowind for the first time
>middle of the night
>recently got ambushed by one of those fucking Dark Brotherhood assassin so I'm on edge
>see book on the ground
>go to pick it up
>hear screaming
>panic and run to town
That was a fun first experience
If you go to third person view, you see that your character is the one screaming.
The most memorable NPC in Morrowind is a corpse.
No make a custom spellsword. The premise classes are garbage
I giggled out loud.
>The most memorable NPC in Morrowind
>mostly remembered for the terribly laid out city named after him
uhm sweetie, he's a creature.
The lady you have to kill in a DLC should be memorable.
Can you name one non MQ NPC?
Trinkets, odds and ends, that sorta thing...
Clagius Clanler and Dralasa Nithryon
boom
i know what odd end i'd like my trinket in.
What was their hook that made them memorable?
Well other than they were in the wiki that is.
I just finished Oblivion's main quest for the first time, so, is Nirn an oblivion plane ? was Mankar Camoran right about something ? was Lorkhan an Aedra or Daedra ?
They're just some of my favorite shopkeepers.
Dralasa is my waifu in Ranis at the mages guild rejects me.
How do i earn money. Give me money earning tips. I'm currently in Balmora and joined the Mages Guild.
How many year will it take until we get TES:6?
>He doesn't know
Dude just use magic.
I am the one that asked. The standard response is Ahnsissi or whatever its name is.
You then are supposed to declare victory and infer thegame was chock full of interesting NPCs.
We both know that is wrong but that is how it goes.
>that moody interior lighting
>Time between Morrowind and Oblivion: 4 years
>Time between Oblivion and Skyrim: 5 years
>Time between Skyrim and current year: 8 years
>The maximum magnitude cannot be less then the minimum magnitude!
What in the world is this? Is this something Bloodmoon or Tribunal added? Because I absolutely do not remember this being a thing.
also
>less then
What gives? I am pretty damn certain that you used to be able to do this. I have explicit memories of unequipping and equipping items until I good buff.
If you are in Blandmora just start opening crates.
They are chock full of magic gear you can sell.
I'm a god!
Based retard. Just swap the order of the numbers.
Maybe? Lorkhan is known a the trickster god, what he is tho is unclear, maybe he's Daedra and Nirn really is his plane, or he's Aedra and Nirn is just part of his trick, forcing Mer and those that followed him into mortality.
Top bar is the minimum, bottom bar is maximum. Just change the values.
any Skyrim 2 info yet?
What the FUCK was his problem?
Since Yokuda and Hammerfell have similar climates and biomes, does that make the Left-Handed Mer the Sand Elves?
It needs to be 1 to 47 not 47 to 1
2020 or 21 for Starfield 2025 26 for TE 6
Oh fuck. I can't believe it.
Well thanks. I'll get right on that.
n'wahs
Is it true that Secunda and Masser are just remnants of Lorkhan?
No guardrails.
>yeah yeah go kill dagoth ur for me. No I can't do it its forbidden says me
>thanks you did it. I'll sit here and do nothing until I get tired and leave existance
People only like lore Vivec. Game Vivec is just a shitty quest giver that gives you lore dumps
Joel, fuck off
1 to 47 would work, not 47 to 1.
There is a bug around this, though, in the past it was called "reverse magnitude enchanting".
For this example, you would first set the effect to 47-47. You'd press OK to close that little effect window, but don't finalize the spell.
Click on the effect to bring the window back up.
No edit the bottom bar, so it is like 47 to 46 or 47 to 1, whatever you. BUT DON'T PRESS OK!. Press "Cancel".
On the list of effects, it will still show your old 47-47 effect, but it actually is the new impossible effect you just created. You can finalize the enchantment, and the item will then accurately display the glitched 47-46 or 47-1 magnitude.
This works in the latest GOTY version, but unofficial patches might correct it, I don't know. It might not work in OpenMW, I haven't tested it.
Yes
Does it count as eight years if Skyrim came out like five times in that period?
I really want space travel in the next ES game.
Again, maybe is the best answer, we know Masser and Secunda are attendant spirits and died a long time ago, which is why we can see them, and why Masser have a rotten look. But is it part of Lorkhan?
Khajit has dick if you have coin...
Lore Viviec is just Kirkbride's donut steel self-insert.
The closest we'll get is sea travel, and then someone will mod in spaceships.
and it will sucks like Fallout 4
Game Vivec was a tragic figure who was a victim of his own hubris.
Characters in video games rarely have the depth of the tribunal.
C0DA Vivec is a mesianic zen spaceman and a travesty.
Vivecs story was near perfect in Morrowind. MK should have stopped telling it.
Consensus on the Bosmer?
>barbed cock
No thanks
Bethesda always put more soul into TES than nu-Fallout, t b h.
He wanted to be cool, but he was too lame to make it work, so he decided to take out his frustration on everyone and everything.
lol
We also have to take into consideration that Bethesda now has two MMO's to milk for those sweet microtransaction profits as well as Skyrim re-releases. Could be a while.
>shoving jyggalag up anyone's butt
If his Shivering Isles incarnation is anything to go by, it would be extremely painful
The strongest opinion I have on the Bosmer is "I am aware they exist"
bros...
The former was kirkbride under the strain of Bethseda going from independent studio into major publishing corportation. The latter was kirkbride sniffing his own farts while responding to the litany of fans complaining about cannonicity.
Both under the influence of choice narcotics and hallucinogens.
Fallout's setting is a lot more limited than TES is why. It's retofuturistic post-apocalyptic stuck in the 50s.
How can you kill a god?
Have you read any Vivec fanfics. He is GOATSE on steroids. He could get him up there without touching skin.
You elves are all the same, all flash and no fury!
F a r g o t h
That's the thing, all those studios and titles duing the great expansion of post-2011, funded by the skyrim bubble? They're collapsing. Machine games is getting shuttered/merged next year, arkane is on the chopping block right now for next quarter. Everything except id and the Todd squad is getting gutted and I think eventually Zenimax online would get merged into the Todd squad with the unholy abomination of online-only single player TES6.
Fallout was originally more narrative driven than TES.
In Fallout, the world serves as a stage for the plot, characters, various factions, etc.
In TES, the world is the whole point of the game. The plot is just there as a formality.
I want to looks like that when I grow old.
>Not like the dragonborn actually does anything other than yell really loud. Alduin is still going to come back and eat the world anyway.
This is only one possible thing that may happen
He is one of the best thing to happen to TES and one of the worst things to happen to TES.
If they keep him with adult supervision he is fine.
When left to his own devices he is shit.
unf kittydick
cannibals
Does anyone have the mod guides for Morrowind or are they all of /tesg/'s site?
I have this unresearched feeling that Todd uses Fallout to test out all the shit ideas he knows will never work but wants to try out for TES. You see the stuff with the pip-boy menus turn into the UI for Skyrim, the quest generators and vaults later used for endless draugr caves, plenty of lessons learned in Fo3 for the sole benefit of skyrim.
All the shit in Fo4 and F76 are just prototypes for the crap they're working on TES6 and Starfield, that's why we never got another announcement at e3 this year, they're back to the drawing board after feedback as to how shit these features are.
Bosmer carnivores just as retarded as vegans.
The tesgeneral one is fine but it doesn't cover graphics (trainwiz made it to go with knots' guide which is long outdated)
Thread theme
It's a woman
>YFW Khajiit would have human male fetishes for their smooth cocks
What mods?
What's a more updated graphics guide?
I don't know. I just play vanilla with MGE XE's shaders and it looks fine.
>doesn't care what race as long as you are male
>get hornier each quest
It's why khajiit made the best bedwarmer slaves.
>invites you to live with her
>gives you the robe off her back if you ask for it
Even as used goods, Ahnassi was great.
What happened to those faggots making morrowind on the skyrim engine?
Morrrowind Releveled
nexusmods.com
Morrowind Code Patch
nexusmods.com
If you want a vanilla experience, but simply have it be less shit. Then these are the only essential mods.
Morrowind Releveled because level scaling sucks ass. Even if the level scaling in Morrowind is nothing compared to Oblivion and Skyrim, it's still there. The best thing about the mod is that it doesn't punish you for doing early game exploration like say, accidentally walking into the vaults of Vivec as a low level character, having said vault now be full of low level treasure for the rest of the game. It treats you as a high level character even though you're low level and it's perfect. It makes dangerous areas dangerous and low threat level areas remain low threats.
As for the Morrowind Code Patch? Considering how the Unofficial Morrowind Patch went to shit with its updates, the Morrowind Code Patch remains great. Just uncheck everything not in the bugfix tab and you should be golden. Though the option to implement toggle-able sneaking etc can be neat but those kind of tweaks are up to you.
There are tons of other great mods but the above are the only ones I'd call essential. I'd never want to start a game without them.
Here's an example. By the end of this clip, I have a magic item that has a magnitude of 50-20, which the game usually won't let you do.
I can't remember what the benefit to this was. I think it was used to squeeze out a few more points in your enchantments.
>should of
it's "should have" dude
Same thing with all massive mods.
They realized it couldn't be done with the available talent.
I believe it is "Shall've haven"
I kinda wanted to know more about the full intention of Mankar Camoran, a guy on youtube theorized he wanted Dagon to destroy everything so Mankar can recreate Nirn for the Ayleids, that he did all of that because he hates men and wants to see mer back in its full glory
That the divines betrayed Lorkhan, but that doesn't make sense too, why would he say that Nirn was Dagon's birthright if it is Lorkhan and if Lorkhan was indeed a Daedra how did he die then if Daedra are immortal
bummer
They're still making it, but it'll never come out. You'd have to be an idiot to wait for a half finished mod on the old Skyrim engine that lacks features and has fan voice acting.
lies, it's still going, they recently made a trailer showing off some locations
>can't actually ask her
And I thought Morrowind was a RPG, WHERE THE FUCK ARE MY CHOICES?!
I drew Ahnassi but I'm not used to drawing furries so it looks bad.
Coming 2050
mainland morrowind... home...
shit taste
They should be property like the lizards and cats.
Someone give me a redpill on this guy. Why is he the least talked about Morrowind god, both in and out of the in game universe.
Not when your new "friend" has snow for brains.
The future is so bright!
>shan't
I hate to bring irl events into this, but look at WWII. Each nation was too scare to fight at first.
Most choices in Morrowind boil down to "do the quest or don't"
I need to put on my shades before I go blind.
>May 2002
>June 2003
kek
>. Why is he the least talked about Morrowind god, both in and out of the in game universe.
and thank god for that, or MK would ruin him too
AAAAAAH
Well, wouldn't you want some texture instead of smooth?
Skyrim's engine is way more restricted though. Seriously. Why would you even want to put Morrowind on it?
I fucking hate how people moved from Oblivion modding to Skyrim modding just because Skyrim released and was newer. You could do way more with Oblivion mods. With Skyrim you have to jump through twice the number of hoops for less than what you could do with Oblivion.
Just mod Oblivion to expand its memory and it's like objectively superior.
>Scratch the small of her back
>Slams pussy into your face
There are a few parallels between Skyrim and WW2.
Meade= Chamberlain
Ulfric= Churchill
Meade and Chamberlain both wanted to appease the big bad and bide their time
Ulfric Churchill both recognized the time is now.
Started to like Oblivion much more after fixing the scaling issues with mods recommended by Yea Forums anons. Now help me fix Skyrim so that I can play it after I'm done with Oblivion.
>least talked about
Not anymore
Requiem and mods for Lydia.
The only time he gets brought up is when Trainwwiz is around.
> INB4 I'm not reading this thread.
>he wanted Dagon to destroy everything so Mankar can recreate Nirn for the Ayleids, that he did all of that because he hates men and wants to see mer back in its full glory
That would be a viable motive for Mankar Camoran yes, Mer used to be immortal timeless beings and became mortal because of Lorkhan (and that's why they hate Lorkhan and Men beliefs), that's also why the Thalmor attempts to destroy the towers on Nirn.
>That the divines betrayed Lorkhan
The divines didn't betrayed Lorkhan, they got tricked by him into creating Mundus, when they realized how much it actually costed to create it, they bailed (which is why there is the sun and stars) and punished Lorkhan for what he did.
>why would he say that Nirn was Dagon's birthright if it is Lorkhan and if Lorkhan was indeed a Daedra how did he die then if Daedra are immortal
Most daedric princes want to take over Nirn for their own motives, I think that's just Dagon's excuse to claim Nirn.
Even godlike beings can kill each others, that even happened at the creation when Padomay (the primal force of change and chaos) decided to kill Nir, Anu (the concept of everything)'s lover.
Also I just realized that Nir and Anu's love is technically incest.
That's because he has far less meme potential than Vivec, who is a degenerate freak.
Because even as a god he's a basement dweller, there's no reason to talk about him and even if there was, nobody knows about it.
But you brought him up just now
Lives in the universes basement
Never finishes what he started.
Antisocial
He is a walking NEET meme.
I wasn't the one that brought him up.
Is he /ourguy/, then?
our is a strong descriptor.
>Genocides all the Snow Elves
Was he justified?
Morrowind>ESO>> Skyrim>>> Oblivion= Daggerfall
Ew
>Daggerfall is shi-
>Now help me fix Skyrim so that I can play it after I'm done with Oblivion.
Skyrim has way more problems than level scaling. Like character progression for instance. Your characters practically reach their optimal ability around level 25~ give or take depending on your build. After which point levelling up will no longer do anything other than give you some extra HP. With your offensive, and defensive, stealth, or utility growth options already being exhausted outside of alchemy/enchantment loop exploit abuse.
But even after you are level 30, you probably have more than two thirds of Skyrim left unexplored. You just won't have any character growth for your player character anymore.
What's more. The simple act movement fucking sucks in Skyrim. I still can't believe how they flat out removed Athletics and Acrobatics while severely restricting your potential influence on the Speed parameter. Fuck you can barely climb a hill in Skyrim, unless you glitch your way over it with a horse. Like don't even bother jumping from one platform to another.
Skyrim fucking blows. The way Magic doesn't scale to your ability was also fucking retarded. Fuck everything about Skyrim was awful. Its implementation of RPG mechanics are beyond awful and the game flat out does not work as an RPG. Why did they even bother making it an RPG? At that point it would have probably been better as an action game without any RPG mechanics.
lol
No, he should have done the same with every other Mer.
And Khajiits just in case, because they are probably Mer.
You'd think ESO would be doing alright. Elsweyr is by all accounts a solid expansion, they got an influx of players who were sick to the teeth of Battle for Azeroth, and they've got however many regulars shelling out monthly subs for crafting bags.
Based.
Sotha Sill would be a mass shooter irl.
> Rages over everyone knowing who Shalidor is even though he isn't even in the same class as a supreme wizard such as myself.
> Mad that the other members of the Tribunal get all the love and he is the Ringo of the Tribunal.
> So desperate for a friend builds a ton of mecha friends. They don't invite him to their parties.
Some of you re all right don't go to Mournhold tomorrow.
Daggerfall is unique and I am very happy to see how the unity port is turning out to be, cant wait to replay it
Amazing. Outside of Morrowind being on top, nothing on your list is correct.
>>game called Arena
>>it's actually on Tamriel
Because all of tamriel was basically an arena
How would everyone feel about a game set in tiber septim's rise to power ?
To that day I've never finished Arena, last time I escaped the first sewer prison dungeon I got mugged by 3 rats and a transvestite.
Sotha Sil is canonically the most chad of the Tribunal
>nerdy mechanic girls slobbering over his dick
>only one who was married out of love
>canonically friends with Fyr, the biological father of 90% of house telvanni
>gangbanged almalexia so hard she went crazy when she couldn't have that dick
Good, because we’d finally get to see what race he was.
This is very accurate from my experience
How is ESO if you only want to play it for the solo experience? Can you explore the world like in Skyrim or Fallout?
>ESO solo
You don't want that. It doesn't scale well for single characters and there's nothing to explore, only quest arrows to follow.
You can solo about 90% of the content, exploration is okay. Not as many dungeons and exploration rewards you more with resources and levels in specific skills than anything else.
Why does Kirkbride still waste his time with Elder Scrolls? I love his weird art and stories and it just seems like a shame he hasn't made his own thing.
Also why does every game series give no fucks about lore? They'll write lore as part of their product, but then contradict it and retcon it any moment it becomes inconvenient. Obviously books don't have this problem since it's a single writer, and they obviously give a shit about what they wrote, where games are made by a team of people. It's just weird that recently I noticed I can't think of a single series that has a lot a lore and has been able to keep it all consistent.
Said no one ever.
I want to play as this character, but too much work in even trying to get close
Just because you don't pay attention doesn't mean it isn't true.
Test
TES liberally uses the unreliable narrator hook.
Never take anything in game as gospel. This goes double for things from out of game.
>still waste his time
Kirkbride hasn't written anything TES in years, he's a writer for adventure games now. The person writing weird shit for TES is Leamon Tuttle now.
Man. Oblivion faces are weird. The weirdest in the franchise.
Is he the guy that took over for Schick when he up and walked away?
Schick had been there for years is why, but yes.
Turtle wrote all the Sotha Sil stuff.
>Lemon Turtle
Did his parents hate him the second they saw him?
well their last names were already Turtle, so they were filled with so much self-hate they passed it onto their son
Any other keen observations?
That explains why I love TES and just like Fallout as a friend
There was basically nothing weird about ESO Sotha. It was bog standard MMO trifle passed up as "Morrowind Original Quirk" and it was boring.
ESO Sotha was a million times better than Morrowind Sotha, and it just copied trainwiz's stuff
Morrowind Sotha is fucking dead, anything is better than a dead man.
I'm not just talking about the character. Even the city was shit.
Exactly, it copies and adds nothing relevant.
What the fuck does that even mean?
It insists upon itself.
I've gotta agree with the latter part. The clockwork city in Morrowind was bare, and even though I personally like it, SSE makes it so much better than the actual thing.
Now is the best time to jump in
It means that I got the same thing out of Sotha Sil Expanded and Wheels of Lull, only with much bigger sense of mystery and wonderment. ESO was a worse copy of a modder's work.
dayum
Wait, you are supposed to rape BEFORE killing, you stupid daedric nigger!
Yeah you may not even see another player in Cyrodil.
Now is a good time for solo play.
All I see is the money I could get from selling all this
Yeah I've only played pve. DLC is free if you buy the latest version. It's given me a lot of bang for my buck but yeah I'm looking forward to Bethesda again
thanks for the reply maybe I will try it
Percius Mercius. Can never forget his funny rhyming name and his alternate route for the fighters guild quests.
One of my favorite thing in this game was when I was getting Keening and Sunder and used various enchamentment effects to stay completely hidden so I could sneak up on the Ash Vampires and talk to them and then one of them actually had a nice pleasant conversation with me and even gave me a free bottle of ancient dagoth brandy
>that feel when seriously considering buying a cheap ESO key to play it for the story
why am I like this
Because you're a fucking retard.
That's Dagoth Endus, Ash vampires usually allow you to talk to them first (because of house Dagoth rule)
it does
just khajiits with no fur
The DLC is where it's at. There's a slight narration going on in connection to the main quest so you'll want to play it in the order they were released for full context.
Do it bro it's pretty good
I love how Dagoth Ur and many of the Ash Vampires are more polite than anyone else in Vvardenfel, and yet they're the ones you have to kill
Back to lebbit with you.
>green bar is not regenerating
what.. is this
ESO is reddit repellent.
Green bar is health, judging from it vanishing when he plummets off the stairs.
>music
Didn't Morrowind have like 3 tracks? Skyrim had the best music.
youtube.com
haha ebin upboat friend!
Both of you can shut up now.
youtube.com
god damnit tyrone
I don't know you ,and I don't care to know you.
He's right. Skyrim had the best soundtrack. Morrowind's soundtrack was too short, Oblivion's relied heavily on repetitive hooks. Skyrim's however, was thrice as big as the other two and really complex, good for listening dozens of times without getting bored.
Dungmer being cucked by their former slaves isn't anything new.
>Skyrim's however, was thrice as big as the other two and really complex, good for listening dozens of times without getting bored.
>wandering out in the wilderness
>hey this isn't so ba-
>HUH HOOAH HUH
>HUH HOOAH HUH
for me surely Wings of Kynareth
youtube.com
Are you retarded? We're talking about soundtracks, not a bad in game song algorithm. Although, even on that front, Skyrim wins by having an algorithm that blends multiple tracks for a smooth transition, which neither Oblivion nor Morrowind had. Beyond that, Skyrim's four doznen tracks came with an additional two hours of atmospheric noise to blend into the game as it plays so it never sounds the same.

Yeah, you might.
Probably not. Zoomers can’t understand its beauty.
Literally a third of Morrowind fanbase are zoomers.
This.
i dont think zoomers would know what everquest or world of warcraft is.

Imagine if TES VI it's actually Skyrim 2 holy shit what a beautiful shitshow it would be
bitch, please
the whole 'pig' silliness would be how they handwave player choice of race, and you know it
I would like to see a plot twist related to the lack of informations regarding him
>Elder Scrolls game during Tiber Septim age
>you follow an heroic looking man as you take Old Hrol'dan from the witchmen
>the man dies and you end up taking the lead
>the entire game is about how you actually are Tiber Septim
They’d have to settle on a canon ending for the civil war.
They don't. Just like we don't know who of the three men who supposedly make up Talos survived, we won't know who survived the Civil War. The most likely outcome is that a great Skyrim hero marched south and restored the Empire. Who was it, Bethesda won't say.
They literally made up some bullshit so ALL of Daggerfall's endings were canon, they'd just pull the same garbage
This needs to be included as a joke for the release for TES VI. Like how they did Skyrim for the echo.
What in the goddamn?
Zoomer here, can confirm
I decided to reinstall morrowind and give it another try...
how fucked am i?
>Argonian spearchucker
does that mean I can finally get Akaviri hoes and diamonds?
>30 personality ARGONIAN
I hope you get off on literally every single person you walk by insulting you. Hope you enjoy never talking to anybody ever. Scum.
also how did you get that little patch of map filled out on the left without a pathway to it filling out too?
>tfw the TES 6 soundtrack will probably be composed by Inon Zur
>Two armor skills as major
>Athletics as a major skill
It's not like you can't complete the game or anything, but it's far from good.
i guess I should add that i literally know almost nothing about the game so i was expecting my build to be god-awful
Don't worry about it, we will shit on whatever build you post because it's fun to do so. It's not the best designed class (in a practical sense, in your role playing sense it might be a great combination) but that just means you'll have more interesting challenges along the way. The 85 agility is great and will probably help you in combat a lot in the beginning.
>be the nerevarine
that's debatable
what does it matter if it's gentle when you're dead?
>TFW Soule still confirms that Bethesda hasn’t contracted him for TESVI
Only way to salvage Skyrim is to install wilderness survival mods and basically not even play the game as they intended it. That, or to turn it into a porn screenshot studio.
bump
I assume it ends with Ulfric winning yet fucking over Skyrim and consequently the rest of the Empire decades later?
When will blunt and axes finally be on par with long blades?
Openmw is the future of all tes games
Maybe in TESVIII. Hopefully our grandsons will enjoy it.
TESVIII will have one sword as the only weapon, and each level it assigns itself perks to make it better at stealth archery
Shortly after they add polearms back into the games, but right before you're isekai'd into the game as a cute khajiit girl.
The game hasn't even left pre-production yet, why would they contact him so early?
When TES decides to not be a shit action game on top of deciding to be a shit RPG and makes all melee weapons more distinct than number tweaked reskins of each other.
i.e, never.
When they become distinct from swords/bladed weapons - animations, mechanics, damage etc etc. Same about spears, polearms, staves, dual daggers, thrown knives, javelins etc etc - stuff that will not be in next game, or ever.
They have Arcane Studios and could easily get stuff they did for Dark Messiah into TES. They wont, because they - Beth/Zeni - are LAZY.
You're fine. Just don't go trying to stab stuff with that dagger. There's a tradehouse across the street that sells everything you need to get started. Buy the shit best suited to your skills.
Also medium and heavy armor are not bad together. Nothing wrong with wearing both, there's a lot of slots to fill and it's good to have options to keep weight down while your strength is low. How much you're carrying relative to your max carry weight directly impacts how fast you move and how quickly your fatigue drains. Even late game when you do have plenty of strength, if you want to wear the best possible equipment in each slot then the contribution will be 70% heavy and 30% medium, or possibly 60/40 if you have the official addons.
As a melee fighter you definitely want to tag endurance as an attribute to increase each level. The sooner it increases the more total health you'll get by the end. Since you'll be wielding spears and wearing medium and heavy armor you should regularly see +3 or +4 for it, which is a pretty good pace.
Enchanting this way is slightly cheaper (e.g. 50-49 is cheaper than straight 50 though they are functionally the same) and Morrowind's magnitude system is fucked up in that a spell or enchantment that has magnitude A to B can never actually have a magnitude of B, only B-1, unless you enchant this glitchy way, at which point it can.
>Skyrim let’s you take clothes off of dead enemies

Yes.
this guy looks like a creepy serial killer, wouldn't advertise with him
>People praise Skyrim
>Side with antiTalos side
>PC is the Dragon Born
>Spirit and energy of Talos inside them
>People willingly join the people against yourself
Todd Howard literally tells you everything you need to know where you should join Storm cloaks but people don't do it. That's like Jesus saying fuck God and joining the Jews.
The Imperials aren't Anti-Talos themselves.
You should join Stormcloaks because Skyrim unironically belongs to the Nords.
>Where were YOU when the dragon broke?
Open MW and Tamriel Rebuilt will just become the one singular Elder Scrolls game.
You reminded me of Pretty Kitty
I want Oblivion style random conversations back, just much a bigger line bank. I don't care if it's jank, it's so fucking soulful. The Skyrim version is too streamlined and narrow.
my favorite elder scrolls game
daggerfall fags can suck a cunny
anyone have good instructions to making the font and menus bigger on OpenMW on 1440p?
Kek
I don't want to talk about it.
>The Virgin Aedra vs The Chad Vivec

Vivec about to get METOO'd
and only one of them succeeded, make of that as you will
Imperial's arent Anti-Talos
Even Rikke and Tulius revere him in secret, but they know that the Thalmor has Eyes everywhere in the empire.
Since they are using daedric shenanigans in secret
Never played daggerfall before but i am having a blast. People complain about large dungeons but I really like those long dungeon dives.
It's a shame that the climbing mechanic is not utilized to it's full potencial in them.
It isn't all that secret.
Vivec did fuck a lot of weird shit.
What happens if I play as a nord and pick critical weakness to frost?
What the FUCK was her problem?
There is an actual Daggerfall thread upnow. You may have better luck asking our guests from the Codex in that thread.
She is wearing airplane wings as shoulder armor for one thing.
dont worry about athelitcs being major. All you need is high athletics and high spear and you are golden. Only thing i would criticize is that you should have had light instead of heavy to help you move faster. But it really doesnt matter in the long run.
None of the voices in Skyrim come close to being as memorable as just the male Imperial voice in Oblivion.
Ulfric
Was he retarded?
Wes totally had a cold for the first few days of Shivering Isles recording
>Empire lackey
Yup.
considering he was an Imperial stooge and they had to give him a ring to stop people from killing him, yeah probably
Dude got his ears cut to look more imperial, straight up n'wah shit.
>tries to get some literal who killed
>not only does it not work and every assassin ends up dead and naked
>said literal who find you and tells you to stop
>still try to get them killed
It's like the man want his last meal to be his own balls
What races are the most fun to play as, aside from Breton, Altmer, and Nord?
imperial pilgrim.
One of the few dungmer that knew his place.
That's me in the spotlight losing my religion.
You know that this is fanfiction and the Nerevarine murdered Vivec.
Which ironically is what he wanted for Killing Nerevar, since guilt and regret was killing him more than Sotha Sil in his final Years.
atleast Seht was forgiven by the Good Daedra, mainly azura in the end of tribunal.
Look at ESO's clockwork DLC epilogue, Alma lies and prides to herself about not being a murderer hence why her skin is always chimer. Vivec wants to be everyone, every gender and every hero, but in the end He's still Vivec, Divided in between the Guilt and his Lie. And Sotha Sil who regrets every day what he did and accepted the curse as a penitence.
And both Vehk and Seht Understood each other, though Vehk still Regrets and Neglects that he killed is best friend.
Also Sotha Sil is depressive as fuck, not only for he knows that he's a videogame character, but for knowing everything and never have the feeling of doubt that mortals have.
The chance to murderfy so many dungmer legends was a treat.
Name em and I killed em.
Yeah it's a doomed timeline but it is max comfy.
>*accidentally turns his penis into a spear*
nord bandits generally aren't very well-educated
There are plenty of retards in the world. I mean there are literally thousands of people playing ESO and will defend it.
Where my TES3MP chads at?
Who here /ftc/?
would an elf or beast ever worship talos?
what ever you do max speed. max speed is fuckin sick.
This guy.
what a fuckin waste. maybe it's self- or other-insert of kirkbride and thats why
> not only for he knows that he's a videogame character
Even if CHIM was realizing you're in a videogame, he doesn't have it. He lacks the individuality and drive for it, and says as much.
is there any hope for 6? its Todd's last ES game. he's gotta go big. he must have learned something rfom 76, right?
I've been hearing a lot of OpenMW and how it's gonna revolutionize modding. What the fuck is it?Just an Open source Morrowind engine? Doesn't seem like it does anything special right now.
>is there any hope for 6?
Yes.
he pretty much knows that he is a videogame character even his lines directed to you are pretty much addressing you as the PC.
He knows that Alma will kill him in the future, and he can't do nothing about it, and that his city by the time when it happens will be abandoned.
Knowing the future doesn't make him a videogame character, his discussion about the Prisoner isn't about that.
>Doesn't seem like it does anything special right now.
You know, besides seamless multiplayer.
want to extrapolate?
Isnt that a different thing entirely?
NEVAH SHOULDA CUM 'ERE BOI
no, that's specifically because of TES3MP.
I've enjoyed every Elder Scrolls game, except Arena, so there's no reason to assume I won't like the next one.
since its a n open-source engine, the modding capability is much higher. but i guess no one is really bothering with utilizing that fact until its finished. id guess because some changes to the finalized code could wipe out engine code mods' implementation
pretty much "we hope to have it done by next year"

how did you feel about fallout 4 and fallout 76?
TES3MP began as a fork of OpenMW before it was properly integrated as a full feature of it.
>with utilizing that fact until its finished
And it never will finish.
Garbage, but I've never liked Bethesda's take on Fallout to begin with. The world of Elder Scrolls is a lot more interesting to me and you're given a lot more gameplay freedom. I'll stick with 1,2, and NV for my Fallout needs.
i dont even see the appeal beyond graphics, and if you can only do so much with graphics in morrowind, then OpenMW seems like it would be the logical platform
>TES3MP
FTC-RP ROLL CALL
DoR newfags need not apply
>0.45
you could be right. it doesnt seem that bad for being 0.45 though, idk what theyre going to do with the anticipated remaining 55% of development
Do you know if any mods are being worked on beyond that?
Don't event take the versions seriously. They said on the forums that even if it reaches .99 it doesn't mean 1.0 is next. It means .991 can be next.
0.45 doesn't mean it's 45% done, it means it's the 45th release.
Most mods for OpenMW right now just get natively integrated into the engine. But I know a few that are more or less waiting for it to be finished before moving forward. I coded up a few basic combat enhancements a while back like bow zooming and controlled blocking.
>remaining 55% of development
user...I
thats true. i started with oblivion and loved it, i also loved skyrim on 360. when i got a computer and wasnt limited to what my poorfag ass could afford, the shortcomings of skyrim became apparent, and to a lesser extent, oblivion(though i havent played oblivion on computer at all because of how much i played it growing up, and the feeling of no matter how many hours i spend modding it wont change it fundamentally enough to be an experience im overly familiar with). and especiall;y after playing morrowind, you recognize a clear pattern of removal of features and freedom as time goes on, which i saw 4 and 76 being a continuation of despite being a different IP. overall, combat is my biggest gripe in oblivion and skyrim, and while morrowind doesnt have great combat, at least the system makes sense to me from an RPG standpoint. if the problems facing 4 and 76 arent present, and the combat is overhauled from TES, then i could see 6 being one of the best in the series. short of that, i dont have a lot of hope
In fact, it was pretty much unenforceable until the Nords made a stink over it, and the Dominion started pushing for their deathsquads to be allowed passage
You know what I sort of want? A demake of Oblivion and Skyrim in the Morrowind engine. Tweak the quests to be less shit too.
For what it's worth, I think Bethesda have always put in more effort to Elder Scrolls than Fallout. While I'm not expecting a masterpiece from TESVI, I think it'll be a pretty enjoyable game, unless they really drop the ball hard.
So Project Cyrodiil and Skyrim Home of the Nords.
>0.45 doesn't mean it's 45% done, it means it's the 45th release.
is it not standard practice to number your alpha/beta releases corresponding to anticipated completion levels?
though i recognize as having a high likelihood
It's more immersive having the bandit be uneducated.
Different user but aren't those in the Morrowind Era timeline? It'd be different no? and those will never release
>is it not standard practice to number your alpha/beta releases corresponding to anticipated completion levels?
No, not in any way. It's to track number of releases, when it reaches completion that number goes to 1.0
Will we ever get a Black Marsh game?
Never. Black Marsh's lore doesn't allow anything but an Argonian to really get to explore it. But if we do they'd probably do some super asspull where the Empire terraformed it with magic. Or they'll say Talos did it again.
>is it not standard practice to number your alpha/beta releases corresponding to anticipated completion levels?
As someone that writes software, no.
Semantic versioning is used to indicate major and minor version releases, the first being major releases, the next being minor and the last being patch number.
semver.org
Or it could be that the Hist willed it.
So bros what will finish first?
>OpenMw
>Beyond Skyrim (Any)
>Project Tamriel (Any)
>TES VI
Apparently the most successful Imperial governor of Black Marsh realized that the best way to run the place was to do fuckall and let it sort itself out.
shit, im pretty sure that was my intuitive understanding before something i had seen or read said otherwise. maybe it was just notes from a specific mod or game development that decided to use the system i most recently thought was standard
TESVI is honestly still four or five years away.
Im trying to play oblivion for the first time, doing the whole least used as major thing
Why the fuck is every enemy a bullet sponge? Goblins are eating between 20 and 30 arrows
Why the fuck do the Imperials even want a fucking swamp? there aint shit but Lizards, crocs, and skin flaying bugs.
The Elder Scrolls Adventures II: Argonian
OpenMW, by virtue of being the closest to completion and TES VI not coming anytime in the next decade.
Oblivion is the only game where I think it's acceptable to break the 'always play your first time through vanilla' and get some level scaling mods.
Yeah, there's something funky going on with the balance, isn't there? Like enemies are scaled based on the assumption that your levels are entirely combat-focused.
Realistically when can we expect the sixth elder scrolls bros? I can’t go back to morrowind/oblivion/skyrim anymore but i miss the elder scrolls so much
Remind me why the Empire is even interested in Black Marsh? Non Argonians can't survive in it's depth, it's full of xenophobic Argonian tribes, filled with disease, bugs, and dangerous wildlife.
I don't see any real benefit in having it.
What do you think of Daggerfall Unity?
It'll probably come out within the next few decades.
if, out of the games ive played i think morrowind>oblivion(first i played)>skyrim, do you think i would enjoy ESO?
Oblivion is infamous for having terrible level scaling. Get Galerion's Levelling, it takes the game from a 6/10 to a 9/10.
It already came out.
I'm okay with it. Looking into adding in some online multiplayer for it, provided Unet still works okayish with Unity 2018.2
It depends. I enjoyed ESO purely for the story. The Argonian storyline is pretty based if you're an Argonian for example. Game gets boring though. One major questline every few months is enough for me.
Apparently, it was their Australia for a long while - rather than waste money keeping prisoners, they'd just have them transported.
So with this could I do things normally with the skills I want as major instead of minor?
so it encourages multiple playthroughs, or how is the difference in racial starts handled? i usually just go full magic and call it a day. speaking of which, is magic handled better than in skyrim?
Yes.
What are you fucking 7? kek
>world design pleasant in daggerfall
i could see that being the case in towns, but the overworld being basically nothing of import is a big reason keeping me from trying it out. do the towns and/or dungeons make up for that, or have i misunderstood the overworld or world design in some way? ive never played it
Racials hardly matter. Some are better for specific classes but it makes a negligible difference. It'd take a special kind of autist to care in group quests.
Multiple playthroughs? Yeah I guess. Like every race gets some reactivity so if you want to see the differences you can do that. Not really worth doing that though. Just make a character for the specific questline. Argonian for Black Marsh, Khajiit for Elsweyr etc.
fuck you nigger i went over this already
>Just make a character for the specific questline
are these major questlines, or is it just something simple as a starting point? like, you'd have a main character to complete practically everything, but have a character from each race with an hour or two of playtime just to finish these unique quests?
They're all fairly large questlines. The Argonian took me about a week to finish. Though mind I only play about an hour or two a day.
>like, you'd have a main character to complete practically everything, but have a character from each race with an hour or two of playtime just to finish these unique quests?
That's what I do yeah. Only for questlines I particularly care about though. At the very least I highly recommend an Argonian for the Black Marsh quests. It's an entirely different experience.
different guy, but thats what im worried about. it doesnt handle it any better than skyrim?
Nope. Only reason to go solo is if you only care for the story. I'll grant it's better than Skyrim's writing but it's still kinda shit.
damn. doesnt sound worth the price to me, then. at least its not technically an indication of what 6 might be since its outsourced
so comfy
I hope the next game completely revamps combat. Being a Khajiit thief and running along rooftops like Assassin's Creed is the dream.
Give it the Dark Messiah treatment.
I don't like being a thief because there's usually not much worth stealing, from what I remember anyway.
>have two large nations as allies
Oh I'm sure the wood elf's with their extensive history of war and victory and the desert of skooma cats are a real force to be reckoned with
They were pretty much the only reason the Altmer weren't stomped in a heartbeat during the Three Banners War. Altmer hate each other almost as much as non-Altmer, and piddly little things like continent-wide wars aren't reason enough to stop repeatedly stabbing themselves in the back. Having allies with the slightest amount of focus keeps them from falling apart at the seams.
That'd be kinda cool. Bethesda seems pretty keen on things being just a bit more action-y these days, making the combat a little more stylish and free-flowing wouldn't be too bad.
Won't people cry about only 4 weapon types?
if they implemented mordhau combat, i dont think i would ever play any other game. of course, after installing the mod to make playing without quest markers viable
sup breastie, never found yourself a glass cuirass yet? how sad
this is the part where you fall down and bleed to death
>medium armor AND heavy armor
>spear, long blade AND hand-to-hand
Unless you're RPing as some sort of weapon master there's no reason to have more than one weapon and one armor skill because training several weapon skills is less effective than just using spears for the entire game and getting good with them.
Maybe put stuff like alchemy or mercantile to make your life easier or even restoration magic, knowing how to cast a couple of healing spells is never a bad idea.
Mathematically unlikely.
AFAIK they always make the soundtrack very early on to use it as inspiration instead of making a soundtrack that fits what they already made.
Seriously, though, how did Caius get so ripped?
>3 different weapon skills among major and minor skils
you realize you're supposed to have these stats the entire game, and choose a specialty, right?
and now i notice
>two armor-type skills
