>NPCs have different dialogue after certain events happen

>die in 1 hit
>limited continues

There are interesting dialogue that is not necessary to progress.

>NPCs have different dialogue if you are wearing a special outfit
>NPCs have different dialogue if certain people are leading the party
>NPCs with dialogue acknowledging status effects or dead party members

are you saying that botw is soulful?

>game world is filled with small, unique details, that serve no real purpose

it actually is.

>npcs have different dialects and/or speak different languages in different areas

Name one game

I played the 360 port a few months ago and was still amazed by this interactivity even if it serves no purpose haha

>NPCs have 12,000 lines of dialogue but MC has none
>You can romance party members; other party members get jealous or upset
>One of your party members is an animal (mute)
>Your party members regularly assemble around a campfire
>A travelling shopkeeper keeps up with your party
> Enemy palette-swaps always have extra graphical enhancements (additional tentacles, more eyes etc)
> The world has a god but it is not seen or battled; a church but it is not corrupt or evil
>At least two enemy factions, neither serving as comic relief

Xenoblade 2 good buddy

>in an FPS you can look down and see your body
>NPCs have lenghty dialogue between themselves
>assets aren't just copypasted carelessly and usually have small details added between the same type of objects, i.e common wooden chairs having slightly different textures
>everything is manually animated well instead of generic animations or the usual mocaps for combat
>if the game has different creatures, they act like so instead of random roaming, like prey will graze and run away at any presence, predators will hunt
>mirrors work

>you can turn on the sinks and see yourself in the mirror

are working mirrors peak SOUL in 2019?

The best part is his comments about everything. Plus the arcade games work

shame the shooty part isn't so good

>game has an ability that disguises your character as an enemy
>can talk with enemies you're supposed to kill
>all of them have their own dialogue and some of them have different lines depending on the situation

Ok faggot. whats the game?
Are you happy now?

sounds a bit like dragon age origins

>You can go back to the first town at the end of the game
>You can find endgame loot there
>NPCs have new dialogue commenting on how far you've come

>female party member accuses you of sexual harassment if you try to unequip her body armor

Variety of idle animations when you leave the character for long enough.

Literally every dragon quest ever released.

Sounds like a Pre-DA2 bioware game

I swear I remember this from some game but I forgot

>world is in a chaotic state due to impeding doom right before the last battle
>go back to first village
>it's deserted as they decided to commit mass suicide

>Finish game and return victorious to first town
>Your hot neighbour approaches you, blushing
>'user, words can't express how happy I am that you have slain Darklord...Now my father can finally rest in peace'
>Lead her into the barn
>Sire descendants

A mishmash of my favourite comfy tropes JRPG tropes, mostly Vesperia and FFX

This is sorta the end of LOTR but with slavery instead of suicide

>certain mooks that have absolutely no discernible characteristics that separate them from their generic counterparts act uniquely and/or have dialogue

In some aspects yeah. Soul isnt a yes or no situation.
