Widowmaker is actually not very annoying in a game where she can't oneshot just about any tank, even with a headshot, and shields or massive mobility being a thing for most heroes. For how bullshit some other games can make sniper players, I feel like she's actually pretty balanced.

Snipers should do less damge the closer they are to you. That way Widow can't snipe you in one hit when standing right in front of you.

If she shifts away that buys time for your team to get through a choke, the mine barely does any damage and easy to spot, and if their team moves away from the choke to chase you your teammates (if competent) can push through the choke, sometimes it's not simply about who kills who, buying time for your team is crucial as well

Because seperating from the group to chase down a player solo ain't the best of ideas when you still have people trying to push towards an objective non stop, team coordination is ass cus nobody uses mic and he's not even posing a direct threat, if most of your teammates are alive and still trying to push even if a player spots you trying to go around their team chances are they'll let you as long as the front line is still kept because the only advantage they have over you is that it's easy to hold a choke if they stay together, it can happen sure, and you can easily die to it and your team might be dumb enough to not take advantage of the situation, but if you're playing with people you know over voice comms it's really easy to break their defence by simply sending a solo player around to either distract or destroy their back line (like a widow in the back)
