Touhou spells look less and less visually appealing as time goes on. Stage 5 had some creative ideas but the rest was HSiFS kind of bland and boring.
The beast are so annoying since they're even bigger and flashier than UFOs. And there are shitton of them on the screen. And you can't see shit with the Wolf shot. Especially yellow bullets which the last boss uses in her last spell.
Overall nice OST and cute girls but no game.

Cowgirl Aya is the only one I really like: She has some flair that I like instantly in these characters.
Others will need to mature to see what their potential holds: I think the final boss could be neat and she looks unique enough. By virtue of being the Final Boss, she's bound to get fleshed out into something interesting.
I don't mind Stage 1-3, but they're Stage 1-3: Those rarely stand out. Cock is neat enough, the other 2 serve their purpose.
I'm really not feeling Stage 4 & especially Stage 5. Gyroid pattern looks neat but the " Henchwomen of the Final Boss " feel is really lost on me or simply too abstract for me.

I've enjoyed it. HSiFS was pretty solid too.
The music might feel unmemorable at start, but its actually pretty good.
The powerups break the game too much though. They're much more powerful than UFOs free screen clear and resources.

Managed to thrash my way to Keiki with Wolf Youmu on Normal despite my monumental fuck-up on Stage 4 leaving me with just one life, I had a fucking ridiculous groove going until the fucking Spell Card with the yellow lasers coming from the sides caught me by surprise.

I just beat it and I think it was pretty easy. Failed my first attempt but that was just because I didn't know what was happening with some of the spells and died with bombs wasting a lot of resources. Second attempt I beat it with lives to spare. And then I think the Extra is the easiest in the series, I beat it first try with quite a few lives to spare.
