i have the toriyama 30 years of DQ illustrations artbook, at the end of it is the little slime doodle he made when they first got the request to make a simple enemy

Toriyama gets a lot of shit for "same face" but his monsters and machines are second to none. Heck even his human designs for the famicom versions of 1-4 were great shit. Love the softer rounded features of that era.
