The only time I've ever liked CD a lot was when I was a kid and also liked the Adventure style games a lot (which are bad). Though to be fair I find CD is an alright game, and doesn't deserve too much hate. It is the worst classic game though.

What am i missing with sonic 3. I feel like every level is way to long and i start to recognize when they start to just copy paste slopes and loops. The enemies are in the worst fucking spots or have stupid shields so you have to think to kill them instead of blazing through. The music is really annoying and ugly. I would say its the worst sonic game ive played unironically

Might have been correct last gen, but this gen the plebs in vast majority have ps4, but then again plebian also implies it's a "bad" choice which the ps4 is not compared to the xbone. Buying an xbone is a conscious choice to not follow the masses tho making it contrarian.

I grew up with only Sonic 2 and I still prefer S3&K. Sonic 2 is still really solid though, and it does have some of the best stages for strictly going fast.

Sonic 1 is mediocre as fuck though, anyone calling it the best is a true contrarian.

Sonic 1 is unironically the best. It doesn't punish going fast nearly as much as the sequels and has some forgotten but based levels and music.

Is that Sandopolis 1 or 2? I love S3&K to death but that act 2 is the definition of a slog. It does have some really cool things like the rising sand and the timed doors, but overall it's just too long of a stage.

S3&K has the most flaws, but is still overall the best Sonic game.

Sonic 1 doesn't punish you for going fast because only half the levels let you go fast and they're all the piss easy and short.

I really didn't like Dawn. The Castle had far too many dead end doors that could only be opened from the other side, making exploration a pain. It's also clearly very pro grinding due to how the weapon upgrade system works, which is also really annoying. Even with the sigil drawing modded out it still wasn't that great of a game. Bosses were great though.

A+ taste.

FF6 is mad overrated. I found 7 to be a lot more fun, and I played 6 first.

Sonic 1 isn't even a proper momentum based platformer, they really didn't understand how to design stages around Sonic's movement back then.
