Admit it, you would watch a remake of the vidya movie classic The Wizard if the Nintendo World Championship was replaced with EVO and the final battle in the movie used Super Smash Bros. Ultimate or (insert other fighting game here).

Nah. It would be awesome if it was just a story of a boy who dreams of being a pro gamer, has the talent and shows it on multiple tournaments and road trips with a bunch of Smashers to EVO. And the kid character would be obviously inspired by Tsuyoshi, if Tsuyoshi was a beast on Smash

Movie wise, because Street Fighter can be slow moving for a final battle, and the anime fighting games have no chance in hell to be the main presentation of the movie (especially if you’re movie producers and want to make The Wizard but with EVO appealing for normies and the hardcore fighterfags) so Smash and maybe Tekken are safe bets for a movie like this.
