This. Mortal Kombat was meant to be about blood, gore and violence. That was the main gimmick of the game, the titties are just a bonus (and really that was Dead or Alive’s gimmick), but more importantly MK was all about making every adult and mature thing people DIDN’T want you to see, that’s what made it cool and a solid game.
MK NOW is heavily restricted and now they can’t get away with any cool dangerous stuff, either because it’s not shocking anymore or say or do wrong thing and the twitter and tumblr audience moans about it like fucking manbabies.
It’s a shame how all the games gone by used to do edgy stuff turned into “safer” games. they stood out and did what was obviously wrong and taboo but that’s what made it fun, now you’ll have to wait for some indie devs or a AAA developer to make another game that’s actually fun and not giving a shit.
