Why are so many on Yea Forums against Discord?

It's only good for chatting with your real friends, but then again you can do the same on any other voice chat. If you legitimately use Discord like some sort of tranny and join/chat in public servers you're a fucking loser with no IRL friends so maybe that's why you find it enjoyable. But if you actually have friends you might as well use any other VC since there's no difference between them. Quit using Discord like some sort of social networking service and go actually socialize with real people.

It’s good but retards on Yea Forums will complain that it has too many trannies. I reckon none of them even tried the site. While there are certainly a select number of them, not every single server on the site has one. The safest way to avoid servers with people you don’t like is to:
1. Make your own server, invite your personal friends, and kick out all potential troublemakers
2. Join a server advertised on Yea Forums, believe it or not. They almost always have low tolerance for furfags, trannies and general idiots.

I hate it because it replace in-game chat, making guild chat dead.

It's a shitty proprietary Slack clone with contradictory terms in the privacy statement saying both that they aren't "in the business" of selling private data, but that your private data may change hands in a business transaction. There's no real reason to use it instead of Mumble, Riot/Matrix, or Mattermost. It's the epitome of a mediocre product only used because the userbase doesn't know that it is mediocre and idiots slurp up the "1337 Gamerz" branding.

I don't give a shit about trannies one way or another. Discord mostly sucks because it is worse in most ways than actually free solutions and doesn't truly being anything unique to the table.

Yea Forums loves to shit on Epic for being "Chinese owned" but Discord never gets the same treatment even though Tencent invested a considerable amount in it.

I prefer being able to make custom emojis and not having to FUCKING PAY for them. MSN messenger was literally the best. Fuck discord, fuck skype.

Most of Yea Forums are low-functioning autists that hate any sense of friendship, community or personalization.
If it isn't a small colorless box, if users are anything more than a name on a menu, and if ANYONE they haven't known for at least a decade can interact with them in any way, it's irredeemable shit. The same goes for social multiplayer vidya.

Discord is great with small private-ish groups. All the bad rap it gets it from people joining public "communities" and getting swarmed by autists. TS does suffer from this cause every server is pretty much a private server.

Yea Forums hates the idea of discord secret clubs despite Yea Forums once priding itself on being a secret club.

Ironically enough, I enjoy using discord until I had the morbid curiosity of joining Yea Forums discords. I now understand that people on here are the worst type of faggots. Posts from people who rarely speak get ignored, circlejerking, tripfags being the top dogs, drama, Yea Forums humor being their whole persona, the designated trap that everyone "ironically" wants to fuck.

I'm not, I use discord for several niche groups and stuff. I do think the management are a bunch of idiots and needs to get their head out of their ass. If it gets bad enough, I'll switch to Riot or something.

Yea Forums has no friends. They are unbelievably shy. Boring. They balk at having to converse with someone often and even when they do, they never connect with anyone. Yea Forums is full of the kind of person that "prefers" to be alone but then when they want to play anything with someone else, they have no friends to do it.

Of course they would hate something like Discord, which not only makes them stay in contact with other humans but let's them see others having fun. The kind of fun they themselves crave but never have.

I like saving money for the exact same service.

Literally everyone that plays online has and frequently uses Discord.
I know noone that still uses TS or Vent. The few that use something else like Curse or Mumble treat them as temporary necessities for very specific grouping, but mainly use Discord, because literally everyone else does too.
And no, I'm not in a single public- or tranny group.

I only use discord to find people to play in fighting games that don't have active matchmaking. It's fine as long as you don't go to the general/off-topic chat channels

I have a server with a few irl friends and shit for games and shit talking and there's pretty much no rules except nsfw goes to nsfw because well work reasons but other than that it's you either make fun of everything or get out.
Even a gay guy we know is calling us fags and we hit back so it's like the internet used to be.

Voice quality sounds bad vs the ts i'm used to.
I also hate discords "gamer speak" though I can ignore that like a rational person.

I'm in a Yea Forums server and once we got rid of two things (bots and most of the xivfags), the server has been great. Bot spam was a huge problem and the xivfags are just cancer. Since that was taken care of, its been completely drama free.
